The lunch bento boxes are great, but went back for the ramen for dinner and it was rather flavorless. Sushi is pretty good, but not great.

Great place for a date a fun lunch with friends or just your own sushi fix a little more expensive but I love the takoyaki it's bomb!

I want to start off by saying don't come here if you are a POC and especially if you are a hijabi!!! I've never been treated this way at a restaurant ever! The customer service was extremely terrible, we were told to sit at the bar when we're visibly Muslim, they were keeping an eye on us like we'd leave without paying, we could hear the employees whispering things to each other about us and it was so obvious. This is the first time I've ever left a review and honestly it's to never let shit like this happen to others like look like me. I'm glad our meal was somewhat edible but is it worth feeling like an outcast? I wish I could give this place a -1000, I would literally never go back if it was the last place on earth. read more

We get sushi every Friday. Delicious and the happy hour specials make it so affordable. The service is always good and staff is friendly.

Decent food but terrible service. Most of our orders were wrong with long delays in the food coming out. Some at our table were done eating before others had their food. At the end, 1/2 of the bills were messed up requiring them to reverse charges and try getting things fixed. There are better options in town. read more

Our favorite new sushi place, in my opinion way better service than Fuji steakhouse. Happy hour rocks 2-5 and 8-close. Discount sushi and tap beers. Had to wait a bit before being acknowledged. Was told that there are no tables open because they needed to be cleared off. Had us sit at the sushi bar while we waited. Saw multiple tables that needed to cleared and reset, but no one was handling this. After awhile a table was cleared and the hostess told us we could be seated at a table near us. We proceeded to sit down and another employee came and told us that we couldn't sit there because it was for someone else. So we went back to the sushi bar. Mean while we were watching others that came after us being seated. Eventually the hostess came back and told us that the original table was for us. So we took our table. Another 15 minutes we waited for a waitress. Finally came and took our drink orders. We ordered an appetizer and asked that the wasabi sauce be on the side as my wife doesn't care for hot or spicy food. We also ordered our entrees with the understanding they would come out later after the appetizer. Finally our appetizer came out it had the wasabi sauce all over the fish. The waitress knew this and tried to explain that the cook forgot and that we should try it because it is good. Why wouldn't you re-fire the order and get us what we asked for? My wife being a very polite person did not say anything. So I ate the appitizer since my wife did not care for the wasabi sauce. 2 minutes later our sushi and my wife's udon noodles come to the table. So basiclly we received our appetizer and dinner at the same time! I was still waiting on my fried rice, but interesting enough the table next to me had their fried rice and they were sat and ordered after us! So it seems that the wait staff and the kitchen seems confused and not very attentive. By the time the fried rice came out I had eaten my sushi roll and sharing my wife's udon noodles. I ended up taking my fried rice to go. The wait staff is very poor and does not seem like they care. I do not have these issues at the Hajime in Elk River. Terrible experience and the food unforunately is modest at best. read more

With not many options for sushi in St. Cloud Hajime is a good one. Great selection, clean and the staff is friendly/attentive. I've only had their sushi, but it has always been on point. I was served a tuna roll in which the tuna was black. I have never seen black colored tuna so I asked them about it, and they said their tuna was fresh (twice a week). They were kind about it, but they should never have served that tuna. I came home an googled 'black tuna' and found out is was left out too long and over oxidized. Too many sauces and fried ingredients for their rolls. If the fish is good then that should be the focus. read more

Some of the best food I've eaten. Seriously. I love their vegetable udon; my partner always gets their ramen and swears by it. The last time I was there, we got jalapeno poppers from a friend's suggestion (we were skeptical since that doesn't seem like a typical Asian offering!), and they were incredible--so much so that we ordered two servings. The atmosphere is comfortable enough, although music instead of TV would be better. That's my only concern though. Love this place. I will keep going there as long as they stay yummy and awesome! read more
