Let me start by saying my family and I were loyal customers to these people for years. When Ali was around he always took care of us-then came Mohammed. I had them price out a pair of tires for me a little ways back. I asked for the price for two and they gave it to me. It was slightly below Sullivan tires price for 2 tires of a brand name. I went with the cheaper option as the vehicle is not used frequently. They installed the tires and charged me twice as much stating the price they gave me was for one only. Why would I pay exponentially more for 2 no name tires when I could have gotten brand name for way cheaper? They lied to me and would not fix the problem and were extremely rude. So now a year later or so a tire has a bubble. Went to get it replaced-Hajj auto put the wrong tires on the wrong sides of the car resulting in the tires wearing uneven. So now I have to buy 2 replacements-the wear is visibly there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! On top of ripping you off-they make careless mistakes! read more

It was New Years Eve and I was about to leave from Boston to go to my Dad's house in Cohasset when I realized I had an almost flat tire. None of the shops in the city would even look at it bc they were all so busy until after the holiday. I called my Dad so stressed about not being able to get there. He told me to put air in the tire, drive to Cohasset, and go straight to Hajj brothers. "They're great guys, they will take care of you." He was absolutely right! Despite the fact that they were clearly swamped when I arrived without an appointment or even calling beforehand, when I explained that I had to drive the car back to Boston the next day (New Years Day) Mohammed stopped the job he was currently working on and he and one of his colleagues located the tiny piece of iron that had caused the leak in my tire, patched it up, and filled all my tires with air right there and then. Best customer service ever. On top of everything, they refused to take any more than $20! read more

Had a car in for inspection 4 months ago, failed for one tire and put the Red rejection sticker on window. They could have had the courtesy to tell me about the tire and not do the inspection. Just went back with another car that had dealer installed tint when purchased new in TX. After PASSING it last year, they failed it and put a Red safety rejection sticker on. To make matters worse, sensors were in a not ready state which requires the car to be driven for a few days to reset the drive cycle so an emissions test can be done except red rejection means NO legal driving allowed in MA until repaired, but there is NOTHING to repair. read more

You don't see a lot of small shops like this anymore. It's a nice amenity in downtown Cohasset to have a family run gas station and auto shop. Everyone who works at Hajj is super nice and they're always accommodating -- forgot to schedule an inspection and it's the last day of the month? They'll fit you in! A few things to note: 1) They pump the gas for you. It's a full service gas station in Cohasset Village. Is the gas more expensive than if you price compared among stations and pumped yourself? Sure. But is it really conveniently located or when it's freezing out? Definitely! 2) Whether it's an oil change, detailing, swapping out tires, or any issues I've brought them -- they always make time for you if you can drop your car off at fairly reasonable prices. 3) They're simply good people, so why not support a family run business? read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They are crooks! They have ripped off many of my friends. They overcharged me on work and used crappy parts that fell apart after a month. We have been clients of Hajj for several years. They have done everything from routine maintenance like an oil change to major repairs like a muffler, and tires, and so forth. I would not use them for inspections. every car I've gotten done there or my friends that have gone there always fail for front end.

Stay away from this place for any auto repair/maintenance work. It is fine as a gas station and the guys who operate it seem like nice people. However, when I took my car in for a very minor issue, I found out months later (from another mechanic) that they had taken out critical components for no particular reason. This cost me over $350 in parts and another few hundred for labor to put these parts in. This had also created an unsafe condition where my car could have caught on fire, because of what they threw out. They should not be operating as mechanics when they are clearly not qualified to do so. read more

Unethical. Avoid at all costs. State Inspections are infamous for a "front end" fail with no specifics given. This is a famous shakedown for unnecessary repairs, and you'll see many similar complaints in these reviews. I am reporting them to the State RMV. Save yourself the trouble. read more

I think that they are fantastic. We do all of our service at Hajj's and would go nowhere else. It is not often that one finds an old school mechanic who goes the extra step in order to help someone out. Hajj went out of his way to pick up my mother in law's car in Hingham and bring it back for repair. He could have asked her to have it towed but he did it himself. When we moved here last Spring I was recovering from an injury and looked for a full-service gas station for the first time in years. I found Hajj Auto right on Main Street in Cohasset and they have been wonderful. Both my husband and I take our cars there for gas and light maintenance. We both have new cars so haven't (yet, lol) needed any major repair work but we would trust Hajji to do anything we needed. He's caught a few things for me on my way to the freeway (dashboard alerts) and he knows far more about my car than I do. My husband jokes that he's better than an owner's manual. This is the only place I will ever take my car. No matter how busy they are, for years they have always made time to fit me in as a customer. Recently, my brakes went and I got in a minor accident which made the front of my car look awful. When getting my brakes done, they asked about fixing the damage and I mentioned I couldn't afford to do both at once. A month later, when I picked my car up from a standard oil change, they had added some screws to secure the front of my car that made my wreck of a car look about 85% better. They didn't even charge me. That's incredible customer service, the kind you won't find anywhere else these days. read more
