A True Gem for Middle Eastern Groceries!…read more We recently moved to the area, and I stumbled upon this amazing store on Google--and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by their incredibly friendly and helpful staff (I can speak only English). On my first visit, I hadn't noticed the freshly baked bread until after I had paid for my items. When I returned to buy the bread, they kindly offered it to me for free as a warm welcome to a new customer. That thoughtful gesture truly reflected their customer-oriented approach and made me feel right at home. The store has a great variety of spices and specialty items that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Their prices are also very fair. They also offer warm fresh Middle Eastern takeout dishes and carry fresh Halal meat, including lamb, which is a huge plus. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I'm so happy to have found it!

You enter through what seems like a sketchy back alley door and slide through some heavy plastic curtain, but it's fun. The folks at the register speak English well, and are very helpful with finding what you need or telling what that strange fish shaped thing in the freezer is and how to cook it. It was busy when I was in there which made me happy to see for a small family owned shop. Interesting to note, they had a few non Asian staples like raos marinara, Alfredo, and pasta! Kind of nice in case you need last minute ingredients for dinner on the peninsula since we don't have many grocer options. I was able to get everything I needed to make a Massaman curry dish on a whim. Looking forward to returning for specialty ingredients and continuing to branch out from my usual weekly recipes! The produce can be hit or miss, but the mushrooms are always prime. Same with the fresh herbs. Massive lengths of garlic chives, absolute trees worth of mint, and lots of other weird and delicious leaves of various sorts. I was able to find plenty of pre-chopped frozen lemongrass, which I now will only buy frozen, becuase it's so fresh tasting and not as much of a pain to prepare. I made a soup where I used a full half cup of the stuff, which is never something I'd have done if I had to chop that by hand! Half the items don't have a price sticker or a sign that states the prices, but when you get to the register, they're happy to do a price check for you so that you know what you're paying. I'm assuming that with such a small physical space, and that variety of stuff, it's hard to constantly keep on top of prices on the shelves. If the cashier were annoyed at being asked the price, I'd not shop here, but I've always had them be happy to tell us the prices with no issues. Seriously though the selection is insane. There's stuff that I'd never imagine I can find easily in New England, but it's right there on the shelf. The noodle variety is great, with plenty of gluten free noodles for those who need it. Plenty of dried mushrooms and tea too!

Savory foods from Goldilocks to Magnolia and so much more! They have Filipino decorations and brooms and bags and beauty products. Today's trip we bought frozen lumpia, sio pao, shu mai, pandesal baliwag, dinuguan, Tito Als chicharrones and adobo peanuts and clover chips and and and soooo much. Quiet and friendly staff. Plenty of street parking on a Saturday too! They take credit cards. Can't wait to go back. I highly recommend!
