The shop owner popped in and recognized my daughter~ talk about personalized service! Crystin is obsessed with the handmade soaps they carry and wanted to get the "Monkey Butt" one as a gag gift for my sister- despite the name, it actually smelled rather nice. In another lifetime I worked at the aquarium at the end of this strip plaza and I love walking around and discovering newer shops! Toward the end of the strip of retail shops on Dodecanese Blvd. (next to the spice shop) Katie (I hope that I have her name right), has a fashion forward and conscious place to get clothing items and accessories that you'd be hard pressed to get anywhere else. When speaking to the owner I was informed that she only buys a few of each article of clothing so once the stock is exhausted, that's all there is available. I was told new shipments come in weekly which is pretty awesome. Her shop features some local handmade accessories and various pieces of wall art. I enjoyed talking to the shop owner and a salesperson when I was there and they were helpful without being pushy. I did not feel pressured to buy anything which makes for an enjoyable shopping experience. I found the clothing to be reasonably priced and I bought several pieces for my upcoming vacation. I hope to visit again and see the great pieces that Katie carries a limited inventory of. This is her first store and something she's passionate about and enjoys and I love that. Check out this boutique if you are fashion conscious (and even if not) and enjoy wearing clothing that is not sold in many stores. These guys are professional and reasonably priced. Most importantly, they fix it right the first time and they do an excellent job. About 35 minutes to get to them and it's definitely worth the drive. These guys are the best at fixing bikes.

I loved the wind spinners, dish clothes, Serengeti tumblers, socks, collapsible water bowls, magnets, coasters, t-shirts, and more. Prices are about what you would expect for a tourist area. The Stanley style tumblers with different dog breeds were $39.99. The rest of the store had the typical touristy souvenirs that most of the stores offer near the sponge docks. Fatty's Place carries real sponges, Tarpon Spring shirts, beauty products, Christmas ornaments, mugs, little figurines, wall decorations, clothing, and accessories. This store has something for everyone. We were trying to figure out the best game plan for attending the Epiphany the next day and the lady working the store really took the time to help us and answer questions. Sellers seem to enjoy the experience of being there more than actually selling something, as I saw no purchases in my 3 hours there on a Saturday. Miss Pat has so many booths but there are fun signs to find her and she is a delight when you do. Dont forget to check out the military museum in the back. Lots of great stuff to honor veterans. There is even a jeep. Most booth ownes are older retirees. Place is definitely old, but lots of charm, and lots of well loved items. Nostalgia walking around looking at everything. New and old items (toya, clothes, Legos, Beenie Babies, music instruments, jewelry, gpet items, THC). Most taken care of well. I played the scavenger game posted at the front desk for the $10 gift certificate. I did not win. Overall, I enjoyed my time and hope to go back with my mom.
