I love that they have some things that are a bit longer than Lilly Pulitzer and others; there is a jersey skort, made from kind of a waxed cotton (not sure how it is categorized) that won't show your whole backside when you're golfing. They also carry a ruffled v-neck, sleeveless top in a myriad of colors and prints, that will get you around the "collared" shirt requirement on the course. My friend found a darling dress with a-line shoulders and lots of straps/cut outs, in a beautiful navy and green print. It was mine! Pricing is not "cheap," but neither is the quality, and you'll find it's a good bit less expensive than Lilly Pulitzer; Jean Pierre Klifa; Spartina; and other brands with similar colors; material; and quality. To me, that's value. Virginia helped us in the store, and she was very nice, very knowledgeable, and even offered to set back the kelly green linen jacket, because she suspected I would call back and want it -- and she was right! We visited this store while on our vacation recently. We chose a men's 2xl Tank Top which we were…read moretold was $24.99 and an XL Hoodie that had the actual price tag of $69.99 on it and we were told that we could put any decal we like on each of the apparel. We also decided to purchase a refrigerator magnet that was marked $7.99. When we went to check out, the cashier in very poor english explained that price of the extra coating we had applied to the decals to prevent peeling would be an additional $10.00 and the total cost for every was $153.00 We agreed to that price, although thinking it was a bit expensive, but continued with the purchase. The cashier held the credit card machine so that I was not able to see the screen to verify the amount that they were about to charge my card and I completed the purchase. Upon leaving the store, I received notification that a charge for $353.00 was charged to my card. We IMMEDIATELY returned to the store to dispute the charge, and the cashier said he explained all the costs and that he told us the charge was $353.00. We said you most certainly did not, and we want a refund or we were contacting our credit card company while in the store, which we did. While on the phone with the credit card company, the cashier disappeared into the back of the store, and the credit card company agent verified that the transaction was no longer pending as it was just completed and we now had to dispute the charge. The cashier returned to try and offer us $100 in additional merchandise that we declined, all while still on the phone with our credit card company, they refused to give us an itemized receipt and then proceeded to laugh at us and said you will never get your money back. The credit card company heard the entire conversation, and advised us to take our merchandise and leave the store, which we did. Returned to our hotel room and googled what to do, we filed a report with the Pinellas County Government Consumer Protection department and because to research all the horrible reviews and F rating with the better business bureau. Fast forward to today, our credit card company denied our dispute because we could not provide proof that our purchase was only to cost $153 and because the store wouldn't provide us with a detailed receipt or any pricing as proof, we were denied the refund of the additional $200 we were charged. This is disgusting that this company feels it's ok to continue to conduct business in such a way as to leave their victims feeling violated and the fact that the city of Clearwater Beach allows this company to continue their business practices with all this negative proof of their fraudulent practices/ DO NOT SHOP HERE, TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND THE PUBLIC TO TRY AND LESSEN THE CONTINUED FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES OF CELEBRITY STYLES IN CLEARWATER BEACH FLORIDA. I thanked him, only to be shocked when the total came to $55.63. Feeling rushed because my friends were waiting, I paid, thinking maybe the shirt had been misplaced on the sale rack. But on my way out, I saw another shirt--similar in style--with a clear tag showing $24.99. I went back to the cashier and asked to return the expensive shirt and buy the cheaper one. He refused, pointing to a small, hidden sign that said "No Returns, Only Exchanges." To make matters worse: * He removed the price tag from the shirt I bought. * He did not provide a receipt. * My friends later told me this is a common tactic there and that I may have been scammed. This experience felt dishonest and exploitative, especially for someone dealing with a medical issue and just trying to enjoy the beach. I strongly recommend checking tags carefully, asking for receipts, and being cautious when shopping here.
