It's been over a month since I took a dump on this…read moreestablishment, especially since I had more time to reflect upon what I had experienced with them, and what I said. Ever since my friend and I got a bit involved with looking after my brother since he first got sent here, things have improved dramatically. Although, you still have to admit the environment is a bit depressing and a huge shock to people not familiar to this sort of place. I'm not expecting roses and rainbows, however, and it really isn't fun taking care of patients who are more or less unable to realise what they're doing, with some being total nutters. That's just me putting out a general statement, and it may not apply here. My brother has been wonderfully on the mend after things have gotten to their attention that he was recovering from a dangerous and rare, fast-acting necrotic infection, and having a breakthrough infection with that said and done is the last thing anyone wants. They have been taking great care of him, his needs are often met (with some inconveniences in his book, of course, but it's just the system they have in place). The Charge Nurses are very patient, and have been helpful to my brother during his stay there. It's worth noting it's NOT PERFECT, AT ALL. But all the Charge Nurses and other medical staff are doing anything and everything they can, all at the same time, in order to take care of their patients. This is just the reality of the situation with healthcare in general, especially once the pandemic pretty much pissed all over the place and then left more than just that for everyone to barely clean up. He has since been sent to UCSD Hillcrest to get his skin grafting done, and they're making sure it won't get infected. I just want to say that based on what I've been told and the experiences here whenever I came to see my eldest and ONLY brother, thank you very much for taking care of him so he can get right back up to speed with his life. It means the entire world to me to see that he is able to come back alive and well.

February 15th 2025 he was sent to Cottonwood & was released a few days before Christmas to a different facility closer to our home. I have to say Cottonwood is a wonderful SNF. Everyone was great. The place is clean. The nurses, CNAs, & therapist took such great care of him. If there's an issue they address it immediately. My husband is a very picky eater. Unfortunately we live in San Diego & Cottonwood is in El Cajon, so it was difficult for me to get there every day. The receptionists Arecelli & Ally made sure he received any food I ordered. Everyone is friendly & helpful. Alexandra was a great help making appointments & setting up transportation for my husband's doctors appointments. I definitely recommend Cottonwood. Thank you everyone. My husband just told me they called to check up on how he's doing. I miss this facility.

I really felt like I "clicked" with her and its a shame that I no longer live in the area, or else I'd definitely continue seeing her as my primary counselor. Brandon and Rita were the MHTs who spent their time talking to the clients making the discussions relevant and relatable to everyone. Whenever Brandon was working he made sure to interact with each client and made sure to meet the needs of each client. Whenever Brandon and Rita were working they made us feel comfortable and safe. The nursing staff was extremely knowledgeable and made themselves always available to every client. They were always around to meet the clients needs. Thank you so much for making my experience the best that it could be! If I ever need help with my mental health in the future I would definitely return to Jackson House in La Mesa, CA.

My mom had dementia, fractured her knee and had to be taken there because I couldn't care for her…read more24/7 and don't have the means to have a nurse at home. -My mom's clothes got "lost" day 1. I dropped them off, name on each piece, including a small blanket. I visit the next day and she's wearing someone else's clothes. Her blanket no where to be found. When I went to pick up her clothes after her passing, they tried to give me a bunch of stuff that wants hers. And I only got back one shirt and 1 pant. Out of 4 tops and 3 pants I had bought her. -The place stinks -Nurses were good while we visited, other than that they didn't help her. -She got mrsa, within a week of her being there. No one noticed it until they had to call 911 to take her to the hospital, almost a week later. -Lost like 15 pounds in those 2 weeks. She wasn't eating and they didn't tried to get her to eat. -I asked all the questions, they "tried" to communicate, asked me different things she liked to eat to get her to eat, or liked to do so she can have some distractions. But nothing went any further than that. -Half of the time I visited I found her soiled. I visited every other day, as I was taking turns with my brother. All of this because we don't have the means for the good places. If your loved one doesn't have a voice, avoid this place. Because they won't take care of them at all. It was the worst experience for all of us. *The people who can speak up for themselves, were ok. This was mid-January 2026

He took the time to walk me through what to expect when transitioning my loved one from the hospital to a Skilled Nursing Facility, and he explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. What really stood out to me was how much he genuinely cared. Jared explained how the entire team works together to make sure residents receive the care, support, and attention they need during their recovery. During what can be an overwhelming and emotional time for a family, having someone take the time to listen, answer questions, and guide you through the process made such a difference. I truly appreciate Jared's compassion, knowledge, and willingness to help. He made me feel much more comfortable and confident about the next steps for my loved one. I've been to SoapMat I've also tried CTC and they were both horrible . This place is one and done you do not need to go through any hoops or challenges to get the help and service you need . There's nurses on sight , doctors onsite , a psychiatrist, and a therapist , they also help with mental health treatment meds for. Everything is here you don't need to go to 5 different offices for all the services you need to help you with your treatment plan and recovering . Im not sure how anyone can possibly have something bad to say about this place . I mean if you don't have transportation to get there to dose they literally will send you an uber ride to where ever your located . And when done they'll get you a ride back to where ever you need as well . I mean really how can you complain . If a company only cared about money trust me they would not be providing uber rides for us . And no they don't send us Ubers from out medical . They're actually sending Ubers through there company . You don't need 24hrs to let them know on the spot they send an uber out ! That isn't a company that cares for money only or they wouldn't provide that type of service I mean CTC offers buss passes lol ? So really ! Shes ridiculous and I really would love to know why she really has an issue she may have done something , or isn't really serious about her treatment !
