I had to bring my 6 month old son with me because we're new to this area and haven't established any sitters. He kept his attention while I was getting X-Ray and played with him. I was astonished and very grateful. The other ladies helped out as well especially Jackie. This was a great time. I previously scheduled a doc appointment with Magnolia Dental as I wanted to go with a smaller firm but cancelled after my husband experience. Aspen is a Nice and clean office and they definitely get the job done.

Horrifying experience. Can I leave NEGATIVE 5 stars instead?…read more I'm sharing my experience in the hope that it helps someone else. Last Wednesday, I went to Aspen Dental in Covington Louisiana off Hwy 21 for a simple cleaning and to have a painful tooth checked. After waiting over an hour and a half, I was taken back for about 10 minutes of X-rays and then left waiting again. When the dentist finally came in, he barely looked at my X-rays before telling me I needed a root canal on my front tooth, which wasn't even the tooth I came in complaining about. When I clarified that the tooth behind it was hurting, he seemed flustered and said, "Oh, I don't know then. We'll need an expert opinion." Excuse me, isn't the dentist supposed to be the expert? Especially after taking all those X-rays? I realized he had only mentioned the wrong tooth because I accidentally called it a canine when I meant premolar. It felt like he was going off what I said rather than actually paying attention to the X-rays. The only thing he repeatedly seemed concerned about was making sure I took the survey afterward and reminding me that he worked for Aspen Dental. I was also told they would work with my insurance and offer a good payment arrangement. That did not happen. When I finally spoke with the financial representative, I was quoted $2,000 for a "special" cleaning when I had asked for the cleaning my insurance covered. Then, because they believed I might need two root canals, I was told the total could be around $8,000 more, meaning approximately $10,000 just to get started. They also prescribed me amoxicillin for what they believed was an infection. It made me violently sick for an entire week. I couldn't sleep because I was terrified I was going to lose two teeth or need expensive root canals. When I questioned the financial representative afterward, she became extremely defensive. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from Dr. Hobgood at Algiers Dental Associates, as recommended by my brother. I should have gone there from the beginning. After examining me, Dr. Hobgood found that none of what Aspen Dental told me was happening. I had a minor abrasion on my tooth caused by grinding. No cavity, no infection, and absolutely no need for a root canal. Instead, he did a simple and beautiful resin patch for $57. My tooth looks great, I'm no longer in pain, and he was absolutely worth the hour-and-a-half drive. To make matters worse, while taking the unnecessary antibiotic, I became so sick that I passed out at a movie theater concession stand this past Saturday and twice more while trying to make it to the theater. My eyes rolled back, my legs gave out, and I became violently ill afterward. Whether it was an allergic reaction or another reaction to the medication, I believe I should never have been prescribed it in the first place because I did not have an infection. I went from being told I potentially needed $10,000 worth of dental work and medication to treat an infection I didn't have, to discovering I needed a $57 repair. Thank God for Dr. Hobgood and the entire staff at Algiers Dental Associates for giving me an honest second opinion and treating me with respect. I will not be going anywhere else for dental work. Shame on Aspen Dental for the experience I had. Please, please get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive dental work. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment there to ask questions, review their options carefully, and get another professional opinion before moving forward. It made a world of difference for me.

The whole time I never felt ANY PAIN also because of where my tooth was she had to go back to readjust it to make sure it was perfect and I really appreciated that. Her staff answered all my questions and I am just really grateful to have a positive experience. The chapstick on my lips, the constant reassurance. Louisiana is gonna miss her when she finally retires but well done. I have no bad things to say. Even the pill packs she gives it was just amazing.

Well, after initial x-rays, Catherine came in and told me very sweetly that I had three roots on this tooth, and they were all three very, very long." BUT...can I tell you this: throughout the entire procedure, I had NO PAIN WHATSOEVER! In fact, I was so relaxed that, at one point, I fell asleep in the chair. Catherine was great. She is an amazing woman, an amazing endodontist. In the one long visit, I could see her gentle confidence, her deep faith, her grace toward her employees, and the loving respect she has for her husband and family. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone I know.

I want to be fair with my Review giving facts, but I will never step one foot back into Magnolia…read moredental! The screaming on CRYSTAL'S end was completely unnecessary The whole office could hear her screaming and she told me that Dr. Staples could hear her just fine when I told her to stop yelling at me ! Telling me she's going to turn me into collections for $41 that I already had paid. I told her this then she went on saying if you were insurance does not pick up any of these charges I will be sent to collections then she proceeded to hang up the phone on me! Clearly, I have questions because I don't know what she's talking about x-rays and spacers? Turns out that she was charging me for a cleaning that I never had done! She charged my FSA card $82 not $41 for a re-cement that Dr. Staples had told me was free ... so the IRS got involved because I swiped my FSA card for $41 not $82! When I talked to the receptionist Amanda the following day because I never received a receipt through via email as had said. I asked why was I being charged $41? I also got hollered at when I was told again, it was free with the amount of pain and problems that I have been going through It became so ugly that Delta Dental had to be my advocate ! She never filed the proper claims never got a single EOB the year of 2025 until I was charged for a cleaning in January 21 26 In the year of 2025 I went a total of four times having all different doctors whoever was available to re-cement my crown ... I was screamed at and was told I needed to check with the insurance company and know my policy that I had four requence limitations in which the insurance had no idea of because there were no claims being submitted to the insurance company! In order for me to understand the four limitations I also needed their codes which I was not privy to. I have never been spoken to in such a demeaning way ! None of these employees own the company and they need to treat their customers with absolute respect ! And stop putting words into customers mouth screaming to make a scene for all to hear, including customers that are waiting in the lobby! Very unprofessional The glue that is holding the dentist office together is Anne Catherine (AK) Thanks to Delta Dental for being my advocate, I was able to confirm that I will not be sent to collections in the hands of CRYSTAL FOR INADEQUATELY FALSIFYING INFORMATION!
