The owner, Christina, is incredibly kind and clearly loves dogs. I'm always impressed by how well the staff manages so many energetic, noisy clients while still providing attentive care. One thing I'd recommend to new customers is being a little flexible with scheduling. Because they're in high demand, appointment availability can sometimes be limited. Some of the negative reviews may reflect growing pains. Hiring can be challenging on the Coastside, and Pampered Pup is clearly a popular business with a high volume of customers. In our experience, they've been professional, caring, and reliable, and we've been very happy with the service.

Had to use most the bottle, same with the conditioner still with no satisfactory results. Our dog is very hairy and has some knots. I couldn't even get one knot out with that watered down conditioner. I couldn't dry my dog because she needed all her knots taken out so I have to go home and do it all over again with my own stuff. I'll never go back there again. Ok I get home my daughter tells me I'm supposed to use the entirely of the bottles? That's crazy! & then would just take forever, Plus when I asked for a comb the woman picks up my half used bottle of shampoo & says "you used that much!" So I believe my daughter is WRONG.

Initially, we met at my home to work with my dogs, and then, after Sheryl moved out of state, we were able to work by phone when new issues came up. Sheryl is extraordinarily compassionate and empathic towards both people and dogs, and she taught me to observe my dogs' behavior and be supportive rather than frustrated. My dogs are relaxed and there is more tail-wagging in our home, and when doing conformation and performance events, they are more confident, enthusiastic---and easier to train! Sheryl is also a fantastic instructor in the Tellington TTouch Training, and with her guidance, I started using this method to deepen my bond with my dogs. I have worked with many different dog trainers, and Sheryl is the best!

Our dog, Flash, is a rescue mutt who had been abandoned, and Sheryl's approach worked great for him. She used positive reinforcement, and was always gentle. Flash responded really well to her, and everyone else who we know who has hired her has been pleased with the results. Sheryl came to our home for private lessons, and was fabulous. (She travels around the Peninsula to various clients during the week.) I like that Sheryl has a lot of patience and found a way to make our dog think learning can be fun. Our dog had a lot of anxiety, and she helped him relax and enjoy learning. She also does some bodywork on pets, if clients want that along with the training: Jin Shin Jyutsu (like acupressure) Tellington TTouch (like Feldenkrais for animals) We treated Flash to some of her bodywork, and he went from hyper and anxious to super, ultra-calm and mellow. Sheryl's definitely one of his favorite humans. We were afraid we'd have to find our previously wild dog a new home after having a baby, but we've learned a lot from her and we're a happy family! We credit Sheryl (and some key lay-out changes suggested by baby-proofer Larry Mitchell) with enabling us to keep our dog after having our baby. That was HUGE! We did some clicker training (not initially, but later on), and our most useful command (with or without the clicker) is "In your crate." Sheryl adjusted to what our needs were, so we learned what was a priority for us when we needed it. Thanks to Sheryl, Flash also knows (among others) on your bed, shake, wait, sit, stay, down, touch, and where's daddy?.

Their grounds are serene and beautifully maintained, offering a sacred space where our companions can rest with dignity. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and Julio, whose compassion and professionalism were truly a blessing. Teresa guided me with patience, gentleness, and understanding, making every step feel supported. Julio handled Darla's arrangements with profound respect, treating her as a cherished soul rather than just a pet. Their kindness reflected true humanity and grace. In a moment of grief, they offered not only service but comfort rooted in compassion, reminding me that God watches over all His creatures. I felt that Darla was honored, cared for, and entrusted to a place where love continues beyond this life. Pets Rest Cemetery is more than a resting place -- it is a sanctuary. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful, respectful, and spiritually comforting place to honor their beloved companion. I'd like to thank everyone at Pets rest cemetery for your patience and support! From, The Amaya Family!

Life feels unbearable losing my little girl who was by my side 24/7 during both of our health…read morebattles we've fought together, since the day we found each other. As we both began to decline from terminal illness and disabilities, where mine progressing caused my attention to split- This caused further issues for her wellbeing and safety. A traumatic accident resulted, and where I also couldn't rush to her to stop it in time. She survived the tragic fall, and yet her injuries were far too much to add. I had to choose to set her free. Part ways with my other half, and lay my baby to rest. To have an angel of a mobile vet come to us, so Lucy would not need to be in pain and anxiety in a car to a clinic, then scared in a clinic as her final moment, was a huge gift. Then what saved me from full blown drowning after, is finding Pets Rest. Where I could stay with Lucy's remains, and all the way through. This option to witness was a must for me. To never take my eye off of her ever again, even after her passing. This was not something I even knew I could do, until looking into Pets Rest. The got us in very quickly, in just 2 days. The chapel, the grounds, the employees-everyone and everything about this business is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps an example of something I've heard of called "sacred commerce". They're not trying to get rich here. In fact I wonder how they afford to be so fair and generous. Taking no shortcuts, but going the extra miles to create and maintain such a gorgeous heartwarming setting. Giving us plenty of time to grieve and say goodbye, in their Saint Charles Chapel. What I got out of this experience, I'm sure would cost a fortune anywhere in the country. And here this is San Francisco... The operator was so kind, patient, compassionate and very informative. I learned so much from him. He was the best part of my experience with Pets Rest. I always want to drive by when i can, even though I didn't buy a burial plot, I'll always see Pets Rest as where to go to honor Lucy's life. Very blessed for this family business. Thank you,

Scheduling was easy, the staff was friendly, and overall we had a positive experience, aside from about $500 in recommended services that I declined. My dog was originally seen for an anal gland expression and two vaccinations. She has anxiety and knocked over a staff member during the first visit, so the clinic recommended Trazodone and Acepromazine for future appointments. I followed their advice, and our next visits went smoothly. A year later, I called to schedule another appointment and was surprised to be told they no longer wanted to see my dog. I wasn't given an explanation, but when I requested her records, I saw she had been labeled as aggressive. This had never been an issue at Claremont Vet Hospital. The lack of transparency was disappointing, especially since my dog was due for routine vaccinations. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic for owners of large, anxious dogs that require extra handling, even when medicated.
