Their products are so watered down. They don't do anything. I couldn't get any leather on my dog. I've got a little tiny dog. Had to use most the bottle, same with the conditioner still with no satisfactory results. Our dog is very hairy and has some knots. I couldn't even get one knot out with that watered down conditioner. I couldn't dry my dog because she needed all her knots taken out so I have to go home and do it all over again with my own stuff. I'll never go back there again. Ok I get home my daughter tells me I'm supposed to use the entirely of the bottles? That's crazy! & then would just take forever, Plus when I asked for a comb the woman picks up my half used bottle of shampoo & says "you used that much!" So I believe my daughter is WRONG. read more

This place is fine for a do it yourself dog wash. If you want any other services, forget it. The last seven+ times I've been in there, only one time someone was available to trim my dog's nails. I have tried to call in advance to book a nail trim appointment, and no one picks up. During my last visit, I asked the woman at the front how I could schedule a nail trim appointment, and she said "you just have to stop by and get lucky I guess". Talk about quality customer service!!! With all my free time, I should just swing by with my dog?? Do you want my money or not? This place is lucky that it's the only self grooming spot in town. After spending the day at beach, we took our Dalmatian and Lab here for a self-serve dog wash. It was a great experience. The friendly and patient lady explained everything to us. They even put grooming aprons on all four of my kids so they could help. I saw some complaints in other reviews about watered-down shampoo, but most people don't realize that grooming saloon shampoos are meant to be diluted. After tearing my meniscus I asked to have my husky mix groomed when I normally do her myself at this location. They were prompt and easy to schedule with. She wasn't there for to long (I've had previous groomers in the past keep my huskies way to long), looks and feels great, and seemed happy as can be. Pampered Pup is a local establishment and honestly I want to support this spot. It is women owned and locally staffed. It's tough to be in a small town and be the only spot which caters to a WHOLE community of PET people. I'm sure it's not easy. I give them a thumbs up for servicing this town with the BEST of their resources. I can only rate this place with my own experience. The team here deserves respect and kindness for the service they give to our furry family members. I've had my little fur baby bathed here several times and he's never come back grumpy or scared. Every time I've dropped him off and picked him up the team there has been very sweet with him. I've even asked to have them clip his nails last minute and they've been kind enough to do it. I've also understood if they aren't able to perform a task it's because they don't have the man power to do it. They've also implemented new rules regarding booking appointments which, is completely understandable. Salons do this ALL the time. Chair time is money. However, I'm not comfortable with leaving my card information. They were understanding and have kept open communication with me. Hopefully, this policy changes in the future. A suggestion would be, pay for the service in advance when you book it, instead of leaving your credit information? That way if you don't show to your appointment there is a no refund policy or you get a portion of it back with enough advanced notice. This way it helps with clients not showing up and open spots. Because he had long hair and $150 for the shave. They initially quoted me 150 and take your card information prior to the appointment and charge you what they want. They also did NOT cut my dogs hair the way I asked. My dog better be coming home with a bedazzled butthole for $370! Never again they lost my business. Also it takes forever to get an appointment. Yesterday, my dog had a grooming appointment at Pampered Pup scheduled for 12:00 PM. After three hours without any updates, I called my mother to check on my dog. She arrived at Pampered Pup at 5:00 PM and informed me that my dog had only been given a bath and had not yet been groomed. I decided to call PamperPup myself. I spoke to Christina, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I expressed my concern that my dog had been there for five hours. Christina responded that she had many dogs to groom and couldn't prioritize my dog despite the appointment. When I suggested that she shouldn't overbook, she rudely told me to take my dog as she didn't have time for me. My poor dog was there for five hours and only received a bath. I do not recommend this place. They will waste your time, and Christina is very unprofessional and rude! read more

I am so frustrated after picking up our Mini Schnauzer who didn't get a Mini haircut. I still see where I trimmed her face. It looks like she had a bath, her ears trimmed, her eyebrows cut messy and her private parts done . My veterinarian had already done her nails and feet. The top of her head is uneven - I see no line where her back was cut and a separation from her legs which there should have been. Her legs are still the same length. I will have to take her somewhere else to give her an actual mini schnauzer cut. When you love your pet as much as we do you try to do your best by them- this was a complete fail. My number one priority is my dog's health, happiness and comfort and it is so clear that the owner and staff of Pampered Pup share those values and are mindful of the needs of every dog that steps paw into their salon. I have witnessed the amazing staff so diligently making sure each pup is catered to and treated with and spoken to with love and care. I adopted a dog that had been found stay, and she was so matted that her leg required amputation because of the condition of the matted hair cutting off circulation to her leg and rendering it unusable. Grooming is not just about looks, but about the health of your pup, and the Pampered Pup completely gets that. My dogs always are happy and relaxed when I pick them up and I know that they were treated so well. It truly is a pampering experience for them. I have full trust in Christina and her staff. It's a beautiful facility in a great location, and I am so thankful to have them in our lives keeping my pups happy and healthy (and extra cute- if that were even possible for them to get more cute!!). The hand made bandanas and bows are the cherry on top of the sweetest grooming experience we've ever had. We stopped going anywhere else once we found them, even though we live in SF! I was tired of driving my dog over the hill for grooming . I had taken Lola into Pampered Pup for a nail trim and was impressed with the new facility and with the friendly greeting. I have a dog who really hates getting his nails trimmed and it's nerve racking not being able to be next to him to keep him calm. The two employees today were absolutely wonderful with him, kept him calm, gave him lots of comfort and were even able to trim his paw pads. So we have two Yorkshire terriers. One is about seven pounds and the other ten. Unfortunately due to travel and trust issues with other groomers with small breeds we've been reluctant to take them just anywhere. We were so desperate we decided to take them in. They were very accommodating but clearly didn't know how to cut for breeds. We asked for the puppy cut with round faces but instead got a full all over shave. It will grow out but we won't return I've received a very kind response from the owner and she provided 30% discount coupon which is very kind. I feel a quick google search for breed cuts would have provided reference if you don't know what "puppy cut with round face" means for a Yorkshire terriers. I will not provide more stars because we now realize glands were not expressed (excessive but scooting) and took both to a vet to make sure they were okay since it seemed the groomer had no experience. Both had irritated glands. Meaning they may have been handled too roughly. Both on antibiotics. So thank you but no thank you. The health of my puppies are more important than saving $. read more

We bring our white golden here 2-3 times a year to get his hair shaved as he gets too shaggy and sheds like crazy. Giving him to Mercedes is like giving him to his aunt, she loves him and he loves her too. She takes all the drama out of leaving him off or a few hours, we call Mercedes the dog whisper. We also wash our field golden here in her tubs and she always steps and helps even when we're just doing her inexpensive service. We use dher services for years in her old location and her new and and shame on me for not having done this revie years ago. Highly recommended, don't listen to people that have nearly no Yelp reviews....listen to people that have lots of them. If I could give this business ZERO stars I would. My two Coton de Tulears were at the shop for eight (8) hours. Their appointment was for 11:30. At 4:40 I called the shop and the person who answered identified herself as "Christina". She said my male was done and she needed about 45 minutes more for my female. I want to preface this by saying when I made the appointment I told the person who answered that the dogs were in full show coats. I even offered to bring one dog per visit so she would not have so much work. My male had a few small mats I told her my female was very matted bc she is still in that terrible baby coat and had not been groomed in three weeks. I usually groom every two. I took Chris Christensen products for her to use, shampoo, conditioner and finishing spray for these are high end products for show coats. At 5:30 I knocked on the door and asked about how much longer it would be. She said my male was ready and she "just had a little bit more to do on my female". I pottied my male he urinated forever! This is an 11 year old dog he had been in her "care" for 6 hours! I had even given her wee pads for the puppy. No water-he drank two bottles of water when I put him in the car. I finally got my female at 7:30! She too pottied and pottied... I looked at my female her coat had big chunks cut out of it! My male's coat was all curly a clear indication he wasn't finish dried at all most likely left to air dry. I was very explicit when I called for an appointment about the matting and full show coat. I wrote my check and took it in before I saw my dogs I paid her the $150 she quoted me at 4:40 pm and gave her a large tip bc of the matting total $210. I never complain about my grooming bills however my regular groomer who had been ill with Covid was forced to strip my female the grooming job was such a mess. I normally take my complaints to the source rather than social media however when I called to talk to Christina she talked right over me and lamented how she had seven dogs that day to groom. I have an idea don't over promise and under produce! Oh and anyone who takes umbrage with my comments please feel free to stop by and I am happy to show you the sad mess my dogs are. My female who is set to go back in the show ring next month had to have to have her coat taken off. That is a loss of all my next two months of showing fees and show entry fees. That is just the start and more significantly it will take at least a year to grow out her coat. Buyer beware!!!! She even missed several of the nails on the both of them and their dew claws. Groomers are like the people you turn your children over to they should be excellent quality and character. I would think three times before I turned a dog of mine over to this establishment. Unless the shop changes owners I will not patronize them. I like to shop and encourage local businesses here on the coast this business is two thumbs down. read more

We took our mini poodles to them a few years ago and stopped going when they hacked up the cuts a couple times. We thought we'd give another try with our 15 year old mini poodle since they are so convenient to our home. Shampoo and slight trim was fine. However, our appointment was at 11:30 and they didn't finish until 4:30. Five hours for a simple shampoo and slight trim seems excessive and/or poor management of schedules. My pup came out of there a bit traumatized and immediately peed the world's longest pee outside their door. If you just need a shampoo and you are ok leaving your dog there all day, I would say at least they seem like nice people so go for it. We're going back to our mobile groomer. Costs more, but quick and easy and no trauma for our pups. read more

Great groomer! I have a French Briard with a full coat, rarely do I trust most groomers to know what to do with a Briard. Mercedes did a beautiful job with my girl, and her coat was beautiful to maintain after the grooming. In between I use the self wash super economical and can drop in anytime. Great place to wash your dog! They give you everything you need and clean up after you! This is great since my dogs hate baths so it's a struggle to get them in the tub. Then cleaning up after is another job in itself. Everyone is very nice too and the new location is very clean. My only "complaint" is it does get very slippery. Mercedes did a great job on my terrier mix I got him from the shelter on June 21st and she took my Archie the next day cause he was sooo matted she shaved him completely which is what he needed.
