We brought books all bought within the last year Drawing books art books New York times best Books from the New York times best sellers list hardcover Probably over$400 worth. We were offered .75 .. By then I was too impressed to ask for them back they used to just offer to pay for the books That they thought would sell and ask you if you wanted them back the ones that were not worth anything to them This time they did not. While waiting we spent $30I asked to see how much they were each valued at and I was told that out of all the books We brought The only book Worth anything was it $1.25. The ladies there very kindly allowed us to buy that back At that same price The last time we brought in books we got $40These were actually much nicer books and I'm sure they will all sell. My husband says they must have changed their business model. I don't know why but I will please stress that any book To someoneTo Something to someone. Oh how I love Half Priced Books... this store is my safe haven. I come here during my lunch hour or after work a lot and just browse and often end up leaving with a stack. I love the energy and vibe of this store. It's just the best I would live in here if I could read more

Our daughter loves The Berenstain Bears books, and like the back of the book suggests, she wants to collect them all! So we went to Half Price Books to scoop up whatever they had. We got a great deal on about a dozen books, all in great shape. There were even a couple with stickers included! And none of the stickers were missing. Since the pandemic, HPB has implemented restrictions on how many can enter the store as well as one way aisles. Neither of those measures changed the shopping experience much. I was still able to get in, find what I wanted and get out. It may be harder to browse under those circumstances, but I didn't try it. read more

Didn't know this one was up here; must be fairly new? The usual setup, tons of books at reasonable prices. A small magazine selection (I am addicted to their used magazines.) Where's Waldo books for Baby K. Good service. I don't get up this way often but will definitely check in when I'm nearby. read more

What a FANTASTIC Half Price location!! My husband, daughter, and I are big HPB fans, and although this location is very far from us, we were eager to check it out. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The shelves were well stocked, and they had such a great selection is every area. Even the DVD's were great! My daughter loved the children's section, and she had so much fun picking out a few new books. It was clean, organized, and spacious. The other best part of this location was the employees. Every employee we interacted with was super friendly. We love this HPB and will definitely make more trips up to visit in the future! read more

Great selection of used books & decent prices. Everything was well sorted & put in marked sections (history, Sci-Fi, etc). Wish we had one where we lived in another Southwest state. What I didn't like, the in-your-face, over the top alternative lifestyle flaunting. Totally unnecessary & people are really getting sick of that crap. This is a great place to get a good deal on actual books. They charge half of whatever the list price is printed on the books. They have a large sale rack in the back with steep discounts. They sell dvds, cds, cassettes, records, paperback and hardback books, board games and lots of other random stuff. Personally I think the prices on the books are fabulous, but on the other stuff they sell it's hit or miss. They definitely overcharge for the games and dvds as I can get these elsewhere for a much better deal. The staff is always helpful, glad to assist an helping you find that great book. All in all this is a great place to come and get great pre owned books. read more

After driving to Brice, Bethel and, lane Tom had the best customer service ever. He was very efficient very knowledgeable and personable. He helped me obtain the last three books to complete my Isacc Asimovs series. While I was at Lane half bookstore I called ( not the young lady cashier CRos052 and I did ask for her to call Bethal and 23) twice and got disconnected from Tom but Tom recovered with his personality and knowledge of his inventory and willingness to go over and beyond.
