Dual spring replacement should cost around $400-$500. It's unfortunate to learn there are other scammers out there charging $1000+ for these services with fake warranties to grandmas. I got bids on Yelp with people charging the the most, with the most reviews, and have the least valuable services if you look deep enough. It's good to replace both springs and potentially end plate bearings each time. Door Dummies will be honest if you need those replaced. Average spring life is about 7-10 years. It's worth contacting Door Dummies to check these out if you are in that age range. Getting stuck in your garage when they snap is dangerous. Door Dummies is a honest company and you should help them build this business on original North Carolina values.

They called me back in less than 30 minutes and promised to have someone out in no more than 2 hours. They arrived in about an hour and a half. They were able assess the problem and offer two options for repair. They promised to be back in a couple of hours but they returned early again. My garage door was repaired to better than what it was before it broke in well under thirty minutes. These guys were extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable about their job. Overall I spent a fraction of what I expected and it was all done within 4 hours from when I first called. You just do not get exceptional service like this that often these days. On the second appointment Aavis Co. sent to us a subcontractor they partnered with. The technician could not resolve the problem with the existing equipment. I agreed to buy their garage door opener. Work was done, we tested it, and it worked. We paid, requested an invoice/receipt, but technician said he could not give me one, that the office would e-mail me one. I need the invoice to send to my HOME WARRANTY COMPANY with my claim so they can help pay for the new door opener. We check email that night but nothing. Not in SPAM or in-box. The next day we go to use the opener; it opens, but it will not stay down after pressing on the remote to shut the door. I call them, they send the same technician. He works on it again, he tested the door, again, in front of me, and it works. That night the same problem comes back. We clicked the button it would shut, then it would open right back up again (still no invoice). A different technician came back a third time, finally it's fixed. He said a bunch if things were done wrong one of them was the wiring and the sensors were installed incorrectly. I still cannot complete my claim with the warranty company because they have still not provided me with an invoice. The job was completed on August 18, 2025, and we have yet to see an invoice from them. They charged me over $700. and took a lot of my time. :-(

The opener wouldn't even try. I was terrified it was going to collapse entirely. I called another 'local' contractor and set up a scheduled on site quotation. Instead, at the scheduled time I got a phone call from a differently named company who then texted a quote without even looking at the job. I hung up, deleted the quote and called Miller. David came out that day, confirmed the problem and condemned the door, provided a quote with options, and a book of other garage door options. I called him the next morning, confirmed which option I wanted, and transmitted a deposit. David ordered the door, and confirmed an install 2 days later. He showed up on-time and did an awesome job installing it single handedly. He texted me at work to let me know the work was complete including pictures. He also let me know the hardware and workmanship warranties. My experience with Miller was textbook PERFECT! He delivered excellent service, value and trust to my transaction.
