The repairman, John, quickly diagnosed the problem, explained 3 options for fixing it and also patiently answered my questions about the options, both while he was onsite and the next day when I thought of other questions. Ultimately, I got a brand new door opener which included: a light, new drive chain, wall button, two remotes, and a 5-year warranty for $320 (including the original $29 service fee). I'm not sure what happened, but initially, the garage door was off track and would close but not close completely. Then a metal plate towards the top of the garage was completely twisted to the point, I knew I wouldn't be able to open and close the garage and would likely struggle to do the sake with manual release cord. While not an emergency, my anxiety needed this fixed asap. I checked reviews and settled on We Fix It and called in Jan 2, not expecting a same day turnaround. We have a very old garage door that was loud, opened and closed very poorly and honestly, I felt like it might fall on my head. We called around for service and chose We Fix It because they were extremely polite and seemed to care about customer service (don't get that much anymore). It was later in the day when we called and the OWNER was there the very first thing the next morning. I believe his name was Omer (spelling). Super nice and very cool guy. He was very thorough in his inspection and explained exactly what the problems and potential problems might be. He very easily could have tried to sell me a new door but and put me over the coals. On 1/1/25 my garage door spring broke at about 2am. New year started off the wrong way. I did some searching on who could repair it and came across WeFixIt Garage doors. Called that morning and got scheduled for the following day. Pierce was the scheduled technician to arrive between 8-10am. He arrived at 8:15. He inspected my door and explained the entire process of what was needed and what could wait until a later time. He went over the price of each service, leaving me with no surprises. He arrived about an hour later as promised, fixed the spring and then spent about an hour tuning the new springs to my garage door opener.
