Dr. Klope was a military physician, and experienced the marine cold weather training in bridgeport (certificate in the exam room). so, it helps that we have some common background. after each visit, i feel i got more of his time than i paid for. i rarely see more than one other patient before or after my appointment (I have had doctors book 4 patients per 15 minute, and i would see them for 2 minutes)

I'll start with this. You might be reading this page and be concerned about a 3.8 Yelp average…read morerating for a person you are entrusting your treasured jewels to. I was initially concerned too, until I did my research. Turns out, people HATE urologists! When I brought this up, Dr Lee agreed, stating that most people are in suffering when attending the urologist and low scores would be expected. Most in this county are 2 and below, so by comparison 3.8 is actually a premium rating when graded on a curve. Some of the scores should technically be tossed - reviews from people who never actually were patients don't count! Now I'll get into the actual experience with West Coast Urology. First off, their reception staff is NEXT LEVEL. I've been to a urologist office where they practically ignored me and treated me like a human trash can. NOT HERE! Izabella provided a reception experience to die for. She didn't shame me for being three minutes late. She smiled. She handed me paperwork. She did all the things you dream of in a reception area. I get taken back and Dr Lee comes in hot. No waiting around. He gets right to it and confirms I'm ready to have my vas deferens cut and burned. He tells me the risks. He tells me the rewards. He does it all with a smile and laughter. By the time I left, I thought we were friends (he confirmed we weren't). There's not much else to say. Comparatively, this place is the Four Seasons of urologists. Book yourself an appointment now, you won't regret it!

As with most doctors he has a busy schedule so I recommend writing down all your questions before hand to be expedient, but also so you don't forget to ask ALL your questions. When the day of the surgery arrived he checked in with me to answer any more questions I may have. The surgery itself went very well and he called me that evening to make sure I was doing OK, which I totally was. 3-months later all is well and I healed up quickly. This is totally disrespectful of patience's time. I walked out and will be making arrangements to see a different doctor. Additionally, my Pharmacy reached out to me saying that they had been leaving several voicemails with no response for a renewal on my prescription. I called into the office also and entered the prompt for prescription renewal with no response over several week. And multiple calls. Totally disrespectful of patience again. I called the office to speak with the operator or receptionist for several days left multiple messages with no call back. Only once I got the prompt for emergency to call the doctor directly on his cell phone did I get a call back. At that point they told me that the prompt for prescription it's not monitored and nobody picks up those messages. What the heck!

Billing dept mgr and scribe says my spouse has low back pain. He takes an occasional Advil after riding over 40 miles on his bicycle and up in the mountains at 76 yr old. Dr Williams asked me if I took calcium/D3. I have NEVER been D3 deficient and started taking calcium with D3 in it in when 50 years old as Dexa scan said a bit of osteopenia which has changed little in 25 years. We simply answered Dr Williams questions and I asked her to check my husband's hearing. The scribe and Billing Mgr will write in anything they can (true or not) to charge you extra! It was all routine exam, eyes, ear, throat heart, lung, and breast exam for me. No internal exams. We will be changing doctors asap and refuse to pay extra fees for routine exams and to answer questions. We are healthy, exercise, eat right, and NOT overweight. We reported them to Aetna FRAUD dept! I notified Dr Williams. She will be retiring in 2 years she told me. AVOID THIS GROUP with offices located in Ventura and Oxnard. This is the first time they started UPCHARGING despite going there for several years for our physicals/wellness visit!

The cost, they didn't accept my insurance so each visit was expensive. 3. They never have appointments available and they constantly cancel appointments. In the year I tried to get help there they only kept 2 appointments all others were cancelled and I was told I could go on a wait list. That doesn't work for stay at home moms with children. 4. I don't feel like I got any knowledge to help me. If I'm paying to see a professional I expect they have more info for me beyond what's free on YouTube. I didn't feel like I got quality care here, I was just easy money walking in the door. I would not recommend going here for pelvic floor help. I don't recommend going here if you can't just take an appointment at the drop of a hat.
