I really like Dr. Cedar! She listened and explained everything so well to me. She was open to ordering additional test and offered to do hormone replacement therapy with me. I saw this office with my first pregnancy which was easy and uneventful. When I got pregnant the second time, it ended in an early miscarriage. The way this office dealt with something so common for so many women has made me rethink using this office again for any future pregnancies. The front office staff was rude, impatient and used condescending language as I navigated making follow up appointments for my miscarriage. When I finally saw Dr. Pattamakom to discuss my follow-up ultrasound results, it was via a Zoom appointment. She didn't have her camera on, was unaware of what the appointment was for before logging on and hadn't looked at any of my ultrasound results prior to the meeting. It ended with "Yeah, it looks like this was a miscarriage. Were you trying?" I was stunned to say the least. I am naturally a pretty emotionally stable person. However, I was shocked, frustrated and just so disappointed by the lack of empathy, guidance and professionalism I experienced. I assumed that an OB's office would have protocol in place to make the common, confusing and delicate situation that miscarriage is easier and less painful for their patients. This is not the case. On a very positive note, I do have to say that Cedar Wilkening is one of the best care providers I've ever had and is the only reason I am considering seeing this office again in the future. She is the one thing this office has going for them! read more

this office has very poor customer service... after i got a few hormone replacement treatments and then dr suggesting to get blood work done so i know where i am, i do so and come to find out it was extremely elevated so she wanted to have a telehealth appt with me to discuss... i knew why it was elevated and had chosen to stop the treatments but she forced the phone call visit then charged me $200 for it and said sorry insurance doesn't cover it. never said this would be a up front cost just billed me... never again will i go some where that they don't really care that you feel better they just want money so will book pointless visits. you will waste your time and money going to Ideal Womens health! read more

I saw two providers at this office, Sarah Dinkler and Dr. Pattamakom. I appreciated their bedside manner and that they took the time to answer my questions and concerns. But I made my second appointment, with Dr. Pattamakom, for the specific purpose of having a test run. The doctor saw me, took samples for testing, and advised that my results should be in within a week or so. The following week I called the office to ask about my results. I was told by the office staff that they had no record of any labs having been run. I explained that samples had been taken; they told me they would call me back. The next day, I received a call back and the staff person started giving me lab results from my first visit, over a month before, that I had already received. I told her that I had already received those and needed results from my most recent visit. She told me she would look into it again and call me back. I am more than happy to be understanding about mistakes. But I have not received a call back, let alone an apology or an offer to have my labs taken again. Instead, I paid out of pocket for a visit that was ultimately useless and waited in discomfort for lab results that were never to come, requiring me to make an appointment at a different office and wait even longer for treatment. read more

Horrible experience over & over at this place. Staff greeted me very rudely, brought me into a used room that hadn't been cleaned from the last patient. Pricked my finger to check my blood & dropped the cotton swab on the floor in front of me & then handed it to be to use on my pricked finger. It felt very dirty & unprofessional. Was sent to get ultrasound and still have not gotten the results. I called 3 times to get results & was told they'd call back and they never did. When I asked when I could expect a return call, staff said I don't know. What is wrong with this place? I think they need to be shut down. Ideal women's health? That's ridiculous. Patty the medical assistant, I believe that's what her name was, was very rude. Was meeting the doctor for the first time and she seemed annoyed that I wanted to talk to the doctor first before undressing. I was unaware of any procedure that was being done at this visit and I felt that I needed to discuss this first. Sadly, Dr. Pattamakom was very nice but I will not be returning to this office. (We have the video to prove it.) *Dr Sis verbally approved a request for a specialist but then she or her staff failed to submit the request to our insurance *Super disorganized staff *Dr Pattamakom's failure to administer proper after-birth care directly leading to the need for long term pelvic floor physical therapy, despite an unremarkable delivery. Dr. Sis took care of me at my most vulnerable state. My first time there I got some shocking news, I wanted a second opinion so I went to my previous doctor and told her the recommendations. She said I was in excellent hands, knew Dr. Sis for years, greatly respects her and completely trusted what she recommended. RUDE and unprofessional!!!!! I was referred to this doctor by my wonderful PA as I am in need of a new gynecologist. I was horribly disappointed when the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude to me. I felt as if me trying to make an appointment was a HUGE inconvenience for her!!! And when I tried to give her a chance to be nicer by saying I felt she was rushing me and being rude she didn't even apologize and only said, "Well I'm only talking to you the way I talk to everyone else." And when I asked to speak to the office manager she told me she was the office manager! WOW!!! With that being said I wonder how this doctor has any patients!! When I scheduled my appointment, I was told that they didn't accept Medicare so I would have to pay out of pocket. The website states they accept credit cards. I drove from Santa Barbara to Ventura (45 minutes). When I arrived, I was told they couldn't see me because I did not have insurance that would pay for the service. I offered cash...the receptionist said that even if I paid cash, they would have to bill Medicare and it would be denied. Seriously? Unheard of...wasted trip, gas, effort and time. Horrible. It took over 2 weeks of waiting for a result on my urine culture. I had to call to get an answer. The office is old and misleading from reading the webpage. I went in for a possible UTI, and was told it was my laundry detergents on why I was itching and having a leaky bladder. Got a short dose antibiotic which didn't help and np follow up. Got a second opinion and turns out i have a huge fibroid. No ultrasound or anything. read more

I am 21 years old. I have been going an OBGYN since I was about 14 due to some hormonal problems. I had a doctor that I loved all through out my teens and then her office stopped covering my insurance. So I set out to find a new office. The first office I went to was terrible. I saw their NP and left in tears. Dr. Pattamakom was my next stop. I was set up to see their PA Kenesha Colson that same week I called. At first I was hesitant because the last "non physician" I saw was horrible. But I decided to give it a shot. And boy am I glad I took that leap of faith. Kenesha Colson is the perfect medical professional. Her bedside manner is genuine and she WILL LISTEN TO YOU! I am a nursing student so I am somewhat educated on various topics, and she is willing to have educated conversations with me. She does not shut me down when I have concerns or ask questions. I have been a patient of hers for about a year now and I hope I never have to find another office ever again because she would be very hard to replace. She is an IUD specialist, and inserted my Paragard IUD. And aside from the pain (of course), it was a great experience. I send all my friends and family her way. I can not recommend her enough. We need more healthcare providers like Kenesha Colson!! read more

Dr seemed capable, her staff was not. I went for a well-woman exam. My interaction with the doctor was good. She took the time to answer my questions and was patient. The person at the front desk and the accounting person were both nice, but... they required me to pay a co-pay even though my insurance covers these appts 100%. They mistakenly included lab work I did not have on the bill submitted to my insurance. The mammogram referral I received was to a place not covered by my insurance, so I had to request a new referral and was not told when it was complete. And I had to write them a letter to request the refund of my co-pay after already having called them about it. Lastly, the nurse was abrasive and impatient. I spent more time dealing w/the after effects of my appointment than I did in the actual office. I would not recommend them. read more

Dr. Pattamakom is incredible. I started seeing her a year ago when I first found out I was pregnant and had just moved to Ventura with my husband. She is so smart and kind. She makes you feel comfortable when having to talk about all the easy and uncomfortable things that come with pregnancy, labor and birth. Her entire staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. I always feel welcome and heard at appointments. They accept my insurance and make dealing with insurance a breeze. When I went through labor and went to hospital in middle of night, Dr P was there on phone and came to hospital that morning. She was with me through all of the delivery and most doctors don't do that. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs an OB for regular check ups, is thinking of getting pregnant, is pregnant, or postpartum!! read more

I give a 1 but wish I was able to give zero rating because of my horrible experience with Dr. P which I have only met twice during my first pregnancy. I have mostly met with the nurse. I bled throughout my 4 months of pregnancy and gave birth to my son at 23 weeks. He survived, but had I been listened to, my son would have not gone through the hell he experienced in the NICU. Like I said, I bled from the beginning and the nurse tells me it's a phenomenon. It happens and women can cary a full term pregnancy with no complications. I came in unscheduled for some pain on my right and left lower abdomen. The nurse says that since it's my first pregnancy my ligaments are just adjusting. Then on my last routine visit the day before I had my son, I complained to the Dr. that I don't feel right. I was begging her to do a vaginal exam. She told me she didn't want to risk an infection. Then I asked her at least do an ultrasound because I was desperate. I was feeling a lot of pressure down there, but she assured me everything is fine and that all these "new" feelings I have is completely normal. I go to work the next day went to the bathroom and had a bloody show. My co-worker called the ambulance and to make the long story short, I was told my cervix was 3 cm dilated and that the amniotic sac was protruding out of my cervix. Had the Dr. just listened to me we could have had valuable time in taking preventable measures. None of the unnecessary pain my son had to endure in the NICU would have happened, and let me confirm we almost lost him twice due to pneumonia and sepsis in the NICU. He is 12 now but still suffers the reminence of being a micro preemie. We women know our bodies and have the instinct knowing something is going wrong. I felt that none of my concerns were takin seriously. Oh and to top it all off, I get a call from Dr. P and told me she was sorry for what happened and had the audacity to tell me, "From your file it looked like you were having problems from the beginning of your pregnancy." Yeah, if you followed up with all your patients instead of relying on the nurses you could have prevented all of this! I was bleeding in the beginning and could have been treated as a high-risk pregnancy and that wasn't the case. So, with all the ones who gave good ratings, you are all blessed and glad that none of you had to go through what I went through. read more

I have had nothing but great experiences at this office. I have seen 2 midwives and Dr. Pattamakom for my various appointments and they have all been great. The midwives will spend a lot more time with you and do the hand-holding, and comforting while Dr. Pattamakom is more business like, but never left before wishing me luck and checking to see if my husband or myself had any questions. The office staff is friendly and is always smiling and welcoming. Phone calls to the office are answered promptly or is there is not someone available to take a call, they return messages quickly. I am 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and could not ask for a better experience. I will update once baby is born, but so far I would highly recommend this office! read more

Paid $110 and still very very sick where I got news where I may need surgery again. The staff is letting a 21 year old suffer in pain because of miscommunication and with endometriosis and a child. This review is for the front desk. Dr. Pattamakom is absolutely one of the best in Ventura,CA. She is very professional, very good bedside manner and always approachable. She is the reason why she is my doctor. I think as a respect for her, the front staffs should also show professionalism to their patients. It is a slap on the face of Dr. Pattamakom if they are not mindful of their patients especially for patients who are full time workers. I came to my appointment 15 minutes before my appointment. It was their lunch time so I didn't bother them but I did show my face at the front desk. At 1 pm which is my appointment time, the front desk just handed me papers to fill up. I think the office should have placed in their confirmation text that I needed to fill out this forms before my appointment. After I gave them the form, waited for 30 minutes and asking them why I'm still at the waiting area, that's the only time they told me that Dr. P was running late. I told them I don't have the time to wait because I need to go back to work. I told them that I need another appointment. I gave my available dates and the staff told me that we are trying to squeeze you in.... it seems that I'm at fault that the staff need to squeeze me in. I work also in an outpatient clinic, I know how the front desk operate and comparing my clinic's front desk with this team, my front desk staff is more professional and if our clinic made the mistake, our front desk offers their apology and gift cards and will make every effort to accommodate the patients. I hope this review will be taken as a positive comment and will help make a change. The success of any clinics lies on the receiving staff, they are the face of the clinic. If they don't show professionalism, then it is already a failure for the team. read more

This is a long overdue review. Dr. Pattamakom delivered my twin boys in May 2021. She is a very friendly doctor, and knowledgeable but is not a doctor that will provide important education, guidance or compassion for her patients. My twins were my first pregnancy and birth. There were no complications throughout the pregnancy. Visits were quick and if you didn't have any questions for her then there was no educating on her end as she never provided any guidance. The biggest let down was her behavior during my labor. She barely spoke to me and did not explain what was going on and what to expect. After I delivered my boys I had a bad reaction to a clotting medication. I could barely talk because my teeth were clenching from my body shaking and shivering, my heart rate in the 160s, fever 104.8. I felt the worst I have ever felt especially after being up for over 24 hours. Dr. Pattamakom did not do anything but walk right by me and leave. She never said anything to me actually. I was so scared thinking was I going to be okay? I needed her as my doctor to be there for me, to reassure me that everything will be okay. She was not at all. I felt I was let down in the worst way a doctor can let a patient down. read more

This review has nothing to do with the doctor but her staff, unprofessional staff. I called to schedule an appointment, the person that took my call, NEVER indicated I had to complete/update a health history questionnaire. I showed up to my appointment 10 mins before, upon my arrival, the atmosphere was already unfriendly. I provided my name and stating I had an appointment, the person on the other side of the counter stated if I had completed/updated the health history questionnaire and I told her no, I was not aware and apologized. She literally rolled her eyes at me and in an exasperated sigh told me that it was going to take 10-15 minutes to complete, the doctor had another appointment and was going to set her back. She continued to say that she was going to contact the provided to let them about completing the forms ahead of time...Excuse me, but the provider has nothing to do with informing the patients, it's the office staff that has to be trained appropriately to remind patients to complete forms ahead of time. At that point, I became upset and told her there was no need for the bad attitude, that I was not aware. If I would have been advised when I had called, I would have had the forms completed. Since she so bothered I had not completed the form, I told her "Since this is an issue for you, reschedule my appointment". I regretted rescheduling, I was so embarrassed since there was a patient in the lobby and an employee, I just wanted to leave. I will not return to this office. read more

I'm writing this review so that no one goes through what I went through with Dr. Pattamakom. I had my baby 7 months ago but it's taken me up until now to process what happened. In a nutshell, Dr. Sis appears to be a nice person but she is not a trustworthy or professional Doctor. In my opinion she must have an overly large patient load because she does not come prepared to the appointments and she did not take my own situation seriously which ended up in me getting a serious life-threatening uterine infection post-birth. Multiple times she came to the appointment not remembering (or checking her last appt notes) as to what bloodwork/tests I had done and even how many weeks pregnant I was! All of this was brushed off with her easygoing and carefree attitude which I appreciated at first but it ended up nearly costing me my life when things got really serious. After being induced at the hospital Dr. P asked me during an examination if she should break my water- She asked ME what SHE should do. Isn't she my Doctor?! Before I had a chance to answer she already broke my water. I ended up needing a C-section because my labor stalled at 8 cm and I was approaching 24 hours after my water broke. After the C-section I went home to recover and within a matter of days became very weak and sick to the point I couldn't breastfeed or care for my baby. I called her office and left a voicemail that I had a fever, felt nauseous, had a rapid heart rate and was passing golf ball sized blood clots. She called me back the following day and asked me, "Do you want me to prescribe a medication to shrink your uterus?" Trusting that she had my best interest in hand and that she knew best, I said sure. The next day I started to feel like I was dying and finally my husband convinced me to go to urgent care. I spent 5 hours at my local urgent care only to be told I have to transfer to the hospital where I gave birth. I then spent an additional ENTIRE NIGHT in urgent care waiting to be admitted at the hospital I just delivered in. All it would've taken is a call from Dr. P to admit me and I wouldn't have to go through the ER ordeal back to back while feeling so terrible. When I was there I was assigned a random Dr. who knew nothing about uterine infections. Where was Dr. P?!?? After 5 days in the hospital of receiving IV's and two blood transfusions (and also being separated from my newborn baby)- Not ONCE did Dr. P come to see me or call me to check on me. SHAME ON HER. That is not how to treat your patients. I saw so many OB's that we're trying to figure out where and how my uterine infection came about- but my own Dr. never checked on me. Two weeks later I got a call from Dr. P following up. After I told her how disappointed I was that she didn't take me seriously and that I could've died if I didn't listen to myself and finally go to urgent care (I had a veryyyy clear infection, she should have told me to go to urgent care herself!) she had the audacity to say, "But you are better now, right?" I couldn't believe it. Don't be fooled by her easy going nature- she actually is not THAT invested in your health and well being as a good Dr. should be. I couldn't be happier with this doctor and her entire office. I have consistently received great care on all visits. Appointments are easy to make, I have always been seen on time, and they are very quick to respond and to resolve any issues and questions that come up. They have a good online system where you can make appointments and see results. I truly feel Dr. Sis is one of the best doctors and surgeons in Ventura. She spent a good amount of time with me on my first visit, she really listened, and I not only felt listened to...I felt understood. My experience with Dr. Pattamakom's office over the past year has not been a pleasant one. In September of 2019 I went to Dr. Pattamokom for discharge from my breast. She took a sample of the discharge and sent it to the lab with no abnormal results. In December 2019 the conditioned worsened and I went for a mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist recommended that I get an MRI. Dr Pattamokom never informed me of that recommendation. When I went for a repeat mammogram in 2020 they refused to do my mammogram because I never received the MRI. This was the first time I had ever heard of this recommendation. My care was delayed for AN ENTIRE YEAR because Dr. Pattamakom never informed me of my results. I called Dr. Pattamakom's office to explain the recommendation and request the MRI. I called daily for a week with no return call from the doctor. I begged the office staff to please give me a referral or advice and finally one of the nurse practitioners referred me for an MRI. The MRI resulted in need for a biopsy. The biopsy report showed one area of normal tissue and but recommended a total excision of a mass that has tissue changes. I received a call from Dr. Pattamakom who left a voicemail on my cell phone which stated verbatim " Hi just wanted you to know the biopsy came back and it's normal, no cancer ...all right." I called back and asked about the recommendation for excision of the mass outlined in the pathology report. I never received a call back from Dr. Pattamakom. I also had a pap smear this year and my sample was never sent to the lab. That is the care that I received from Ideal Women's Clinic. I had expected and hoped that a clinic owned and run by women would have been more attentive to the care of women. It's a doctors duty to provide their patients will ALL of the information they need to make informed medical decisions regarding own health care. read more
