My son recently took his senior pictures here. This was the first time here because my oldest did his senior pictures at the other guys. When we drove up we didn't see it at first since it's a small building, but once we hit that u-turn we were able to see it. We were prompt and came at the correct time of our appointment, but when we got there they were shooting a students picture and there was another student waiting inside. We probably waited about 10-15 min before they started on my son's photo shoot, but that's not bad considering other places take longer. The guys taking the pictures were pretty quick. They took him to different areas of the lot to get different backgrounds and poses. Several of my son's pictures came out good and I loved them. The guys were professional and very polite. I was in shock to see some of the negative reviews only because we were treated very well. The gal inside was super friendly also and communicated to us that there was another student in front of my son and was informative on how the ordering was going to be like and what to expect when the pictures were done. I really liked this place. If you're trying to find it, don't drive too fast or you'll miss it like we did. There's not a huge amount of parking space, so just know it's limiting parking and make sure to come at your scheduled time so you don't mess with someone else's photo shoot. I'm glad Stockdale High School was able to get this company, I liked the way the staff was and their professionalism. I would recommend them! read more

My child's school used Hall Photography for school pictures this year and I am so disappointed in the results. Besides being poor quality prints, they went above and beyond to ruin my daughter's photos. Now, I know that sounds a little crazy - like, how did someone else ruin my kids' photos right? Well, my daughter has blue hair this year and we had just had it dyed professionally days before picture day. The blue was vibrant and bold, but they decided to black out her hair in the photos! I did not pay for, or even ask for, the pictures to be retouched in any way and apparently they thought my kid should be modified for her photos. Super offensive because when I see pictures of my child down the road, I want to remember exactly how she looked. Even if blue hair is a little unconventional to some. read more

My son's district decided to switch to Hall Photography. I love supporting local businesses however the quality of the pictures is terrible. My son does need a few pointers to adjust his smile or tilt his head a little. Whoever took my son's pictures did not do that. I totally understand we are still experiencing covid but a few verbal prompts would have helped tremendously. I called Hall's Photography to ask for a re-take, but the gal that helped me gave me the wrong dates for my son's school. Picture re-takes were not on October 12 or the 13th for my son's school. When it was time to get the pictures, the business had to close early for the day due to an emergency. Recently Hall photography whet under new ownership and let's just say GOOD MOVE! Jori (new owner) has done photos for my family for years she has captured my wedding, maternity pictures, holiday pictures, and everything in between. She is so patient with the children and gets even the hardest kid to smile (my 3 year old). The studio is set up so beautifully which makes it easy for an outfit change and a different scenery. When making appointments make sure you let clients know about a 4 days cancellation notice, when I made my appointment for my son NO ONE informed me of a 4 day prior cancellation fee when I made the initial appointment over the phone, even though I was rescheduling 24 hours prior to the actual appointment because my son broke his front teeth and I cannot get him in to the dentist till the 18th which is Monday of next week. Then the girl on the phone insisted I pay the cancellation fee today over the phone, I stated I'll pay it at his appointment, she got snarky and again insisted it "had to be paid today" I hung up on her! I understand cancellations are a pain in the a** but ya know what, LIFE HAPPENS, I'm not rescheduling to inconvenience your staff, MY SONS TEETH need to be fixed so he can smile for his Senior Portraits. My God, what kind of business practices such crap? 4 days? FOUR DAYS, Surgeons and Drs DON'T even charge for a cancellation if done 24 hours prior to an appointment Your business practice as far as cancellations are beyond ridiculous! read more

I took my sister to get her yearbook photos taken, and I was beyond satisfied with the service. They had masks on and they were practicing safety precautions during the whole shoot. The studio itself was also really beautiful, and the pictures came out well. read more

Absolute terrible service. I've been thinking about writing this for a long time but have been too pissed. We had senior pictures done for last year. We called numerous times trying to find out when they were ready for pick up. Finally, they called us in MAY of 2018, mind you we took them in September of 2017 and I had called at least once a month since then. They called me on a Tuesday and we went it in on a Thursday and the girl behind me couldn't find them. She finally came back after 10 minutes of looking, saying that they had destroyed the pictures because we didn't pick them up. Remember these were prepaid pictures. We spent our hard earned money and they couldn't get their act together. I asked to speak to her manager, and she said she was the only one there. I asked that she get a message to the manager or owner to give me a call, she said sure. I never heard from anyone. What terrible service, why in the world do schools use them? If you can, go somewhere else. Just get the head shot you had to with these people for the yearbook and then save your money and time and go somewhere else to get professional pictures! read more

I keep trying to make an appointment online and of course, in order to do so I must log into an account. It being my first time, I don't have an account so I need to make one. I searched the entire website and they don't have any options to create an account. I literally want to give you my money to take some pics but the website won't even let me. No use in calling since they're open for calls about twice a week for a couple fo hours and according to other reviews they don't even pick up. I called back about 2 hours later, got the recorded message and left another message. I have never wrote a bad review . Ever. We were sent to CHP for senior pictures through Garces. Terrible customer service . Just terrible. From the appt ( we had scheduled to have a photo w my daughters car) and were told they did not have time, to actually talking to a live person. There are excellent photographers in Bakersfield - USE another company . Serious. For the amount of money spent ....company is too busy to answer the phone and the quality is average On a positive note- the young adults running the show were very sweet at our appt. read more

I visited Christian Hall (Sales Office) the other day and Amanda the front office sales manager or office administrator not sure her exact title because she helped me with everything!! I think she deserves to be the sales office manager because she was so amazing! and helpful with me! I came in needing to view my sons images and to purchase them as well and she was more then happy to help me. We both sat together and looked over the photos, i couldn't decide on what package or what photos i wanted so she recommended we first look and find the photos i like then we can go from there on deciding what package i wanted to purchase. we wrote down the image numbers i liked the most then at the end she told me we could pull them all up to view at once that way we could narrow it down from 6 of my favorites to 3. She was so patient and sweet with me even tho i kept changing my mind on what photos i wanted for my son. She didn't make me feel like i needed to rush or anything she let me take my time. We finally decided on which ones i wanted to purchase and then she helped me figure out a package. I normally don't write reviews but i just needed to come on here and say how wonderful my experience with her was and the company as well. She is a very sweet and kind woman, and i would love to do future business with them again. They are a wonderful company and the staff they currently have is so great....Definitely recommend this company and the photographers. Pictures turned out Beautifully!! And I will be sending my family to buy more photos from miss Amanda! :)....Had no issues getting a hold of her via phone either. read more

DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO Christian Hall Photography! CHP is being used by FHS this year for the school yearbook's senior pictures. Unfortunately, CHP has only opened up two of the "no cost - 3 pose" days (3 hours @ "5 min" appointment slots) to sit ALL interested seniors! And of course, these slots are completely filled after a few hours of being opened up. The very rude service rep stated that the solution is to simply schedule one of the MANY paid sitting sessions ($30) in order to have our child's picture placed in the yearbook. This is not an ethical practice at all! CHP and FHS should be ashamed of themselves! I am extremely disappointed that this is the practice of this company and FHS has agreed to participate with them. We will wait for the in-school (free) regular yearbook picture session that all grades participate in at school and hope that they honor our child with an appropriate senior shot. read more
