Every single time I schedule an appointment for something, I now expect a call back soon after, to rudely and unapologetically inform me of some mistake, question me, patronize me, or change something: *You can't schedule an appointment for that on the website, you have to call us for that, I canceled it! *Why do want to see that doctor?? You can't just change doctors willy-nilly and you can't see her anyway, she doesn't work at this office! (even though she's listed on the website as a p/t provider there). *We just got a request from you for a referral, why do you feel you need to see a cardiologist? (uh, repeated significant chest pain, history of heart attack in family, complained about it before in prior visits, almost went to ER recently). When the HCA scheduler (who works elsewhere) made my latest appointment, said left a message to ask front desk staff whether or not I should fast to collect fasting bloodwork at my physical (because it was a late-morning appointment). The receptionist called back to abruptly say (without referencing my question): *You'll get your bloodwork done on your appointment date, not before! (?) That wasn't even the question! Appointments have been cancelled, questions misinterpreted and manners sacrificed. This specific receptionist has no people skills or self-awareness and is the least caring, friendly, or respectful person I've ever had to deal with at a health care office. It's demoralizing to try to get an appointment or have to explain private symptoms (why do I have to convince a receptionist?) to someone who shows she doesn't care. She seems to enjoy wielding power and control and I feel vulnerable, exposed and bullied trying to get health care. Why would the doctors, who are so kind and nice, keep her in customer "service?"

Everything was great until I went home, logged on to my portal and noticed that he had added 4 to 5 diagnosis that he did not talk to me about. When I inquired about this, he said well I have to add conditions that don't exist or else Medicare won't pay for the diagnostics. Now these fake diagnoses are part of my permanent health record. If the doctor wanted to test for something that was outside of the scope of the wellness exam, he should've asked me and then I would have told him whether I would've been able to pay for it or not. But just to find out by surprise on the portal was not acceptable. As of today still has not been corrected. How can I get them taken off? This is insurance fraud because they are billing Medicare for something that does not exist. Time for a new doctor. I have reported the business to the BBB. They have since locked me out of my Patient Portal. My next call is to Medicare. Check out the other 1-star reviews here; looks like they have been doing this bait-and-switch with insurance companies for some time. Update: I am able to get into my portal and the doctor has deleted all of my previous messages about this and removed the fake diagnoses from my record. He added that we "talked" about these issues during my visit, which was untrue. But, at least I can move on to another doctor without those fake issues on my record. I still have the screen shots of the "real" interaction. Just proceed with caution and watch this practice. I'm glad I was paying attention!

Mine was very arrogant and insisted that the treatments that other DOCTORS put me on were all wrong. I just held my tongue and kept thinking "this is certainly my last visit with this PA...". He wanted to give me an injection, so I asked the price and he quoted a very reasonable price, and he went ahead and gave me the shot. Later I got a bill for about 400% of the quoted price and have just gotten massive run around. They just keep insisting I pay and there's nothing they can do. So basically, the PAs word is useless and they will pump up the bill after you leave and there's nothing you can do. Buyer beware! I highly suggest you go somewhere else. Just read all the bad reviews that echo billing issues and bad attitudes and you'll get a great sense of this place.

Is nearly impossible to find. Not in the least, what tests or procedures do you need to keep your health the best it can be. Dalton Mackay listens to your words as well as watches your face to see what you might me hiding that concerns her. If it is something in your personal life that has gone amiss, she will help you talk through it and make helpful suggestions to assist you in getting things back on track. I have been seeing her so long, she has become more than my doctor, she is part of my family and a very dear friend that I love with all of my heart! With my age, and the way that I worked in the past, I have acquired some serious health problems. Dr. Mackay has been right there doing what is possible to make my life as livable and comfortable as is within her means. She checks up on me frequently to see how I am doing/feeling and scolds me if I have not come in recently to see her. She is available to her patients through email, telephone, and text pretty much anytime of the day. If she happens to be unavailable at that moment, she will reach back to you to find out what is going on as quickly as possible. It is this caring and dedication to her patients that has made it easy for me to continue to see her as my Primary Care doctor, even though the traveling has become painful for me. DR. DALTON MACKAY is one of the best doctors in the world. There needs to be more doctors who care about the person and not the money, or going out and playing golf with the buds! Dr. Dalton Mackay, I LOVE YOU dearly, and I am thankful you are in my life!!!! Don't ever stop being the loving, caring, thoughtful, and sweet person that you are. The world would greatly suffer if anything were to happen to you!!!! You can get ahold of her or her office staff nearly any time, but remember, they are people like you and I, so things happen.

I finally just kept calling repeatedly (as I am in a tremendous amount of pain) and when my call was finally answered, all I was told was that this office isn't accepting new patients. No apology or explanation on the unanswered calls. Not a great way to treat patients, have to say. Also if you are not accepting new patients, consider updating your healthgrades profile that says you are.

In addition, the front desk is manned by cheerful, helpful, on top of it staff. No attitudes to be found. So refreshing as the majority of front desk employees, in my experience, seem to hate their jobs. Not these gals. So friendly. :) I LOVE this clinic! Please never stop being awesome!

(I have also been seen by the others there at times, and they are all great). But Beth is my superhero. I'll give you an example. One time, I had an annual well check/physical appointment scheduled for midday. That morning, I was pushing a heavy chair around (don't ask), and somehow it caught my right big toenail and basically (gross out coming) "flipped" it up off the nailbed at a right angle (yep, straight up). I figured, well, I had a visit scheduled anyway, so I bandaged it up best I could and when I got to the front desk, told them what happened. When I went back, Beth took one look at it and said "Well, this isn't an annual physical anymore!" She immediately pivoted into urgent care mode, numbed me up, and removed the toenail. (Obviously I had to reschedule the physical!). Just last weekend, I came down with a bad cough and wheezing, and on Sunday, I went online to schedule an appt, but the soonest was Tuesday. So I figured, oh well. But in the reason for the appt, I wrote that I was wheezing and coughing. On Monday morning, Beth read that and had the Front Office call me to schedule me in right away. She found a way to squeeze me into her busy schedule. They did an in-house x-ray (didn't know they had that!) which confirmed bronchitis. I was able to start on antibiotics that same day. Also, for what it's worth, everyone there has been there for years - very low turnover, So you have the opportunity to really establish a relationship with these folks.
