Being in my late eighties, I was beginning to become more sedentary, deconditioned and having…read moregreater difficulty merely performing regular activities of daily living around the house or getting around in the community. This was in part due to worsening unsteadiness on my feet, fear of falling or breaking a hip and ending up in a nursing home. I took my MD's advice and contacted Dr. Jeff Weisler with Wrightsville Beach Physical Therapy, and I can honestly say that I am glad that I did. Wrightsville Beach Physical Therapy's in-home, concierge model makes receiving Physical Therapy services as easy for me as waking up from a nap and heading down stairs! Dr. Jeff Weisler has helped me significantly improve my balance, strength, stamina and walking tolerance. I am once again able to walk beyond the end of my driveway, to/from our dock and around the block. I am becoming more comfortable walking over uneven, grassy terrain around our home and in the community; often without needing to take multiple seated rest breaks as I had before therapy. Dr. Weisler is very knowledgeable and compassionate, yet he has a great sense of humor, and always comes to my home with a smile. He really listens to me and is always looking for ways to incorporate my personal interests into our treatments in ways that will challenge and motivate me: For example- repairing a dock box, installing cleats, making flag pole adjustments, etc. It's a pleasure to work with Dr. Jeff Weisler and I always look forward to each therapy session whether its for pain relief or just maintaining my strength and mobility to continue confidently and happily living in my own home. Hello my name is Jeff Starling, I was having severe shoulder pain on my left side. My son and…read moredaughter told me of a physical therapist that was a good friend and awesome doctor who actually made house calls. Having that information and phone number, I contacted Dr. Jeff Weisler and am so glad I did. I really thought I would need surgery on my shoulder because of the severe pain that was actually keeping me awake at night. During my first session with Dr. Jeff, (as I call him), I was impressed with his willingness to really listen to my complaint about my shoulder pain, and he had great insight and wisdom as to getting me on a plan to improve my condition and completely get me back to normal. In a matter of a few sessions, I was already making progress and it was looking like things were starting to go in the right direction... there was improvement. He explained to me that after 68 years on this earth I needed to strengthen my core muscles. I was very faithful sticking to his guidelines and exercises. With his expert knowledge I am fully recovered. I went from not being able to lift a gallon of milk with my left arm to basically lifting what I want. I challenge anyone my age to arm wrestle me, even a few years younger, hahaha!! Seriously, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Jeff Weisler. Not only is he an awesome doctor, he is a genuine, kind and caring person. Dr. Jeff truly loves people, and it is his passion to help them have a normal life. I give him an A+ and feel very Blessed and fortunate to know him.

My mom had met with the Right at Home folks- speaking to Jennifer and meeting in person with Liz- and was very impressed, When I started dealing with them- I was extremely impressed as well. They were so compassionate and so incredibly helpful. It was right around July 4th weekend when we were trying to start getting assistance which was difficulty to do and they went above and beyond to try and help us get the care we needed- going so far as to call other care groups to supplement when they did not have enough staff. Ultimately- my Dad died before care could begin. But knowing that they were there and so supportive the whole way along- was amazing. I recommend them fully and completely.

My sibling and I live out of state, and Mom's disease had progressed beyond what her nearby siblings could handle. Mom's Right at Home Wilmington team provided her with wonderful care that included bathing and dressing, light cooking and cleaning, and medications. They kept Mom engaged with conversation, walks, music, singing, "helping" with meals, even dancing. They treated her with respect and loved her like a long-time friend, even when she had bad days and nights. We communicated nearly daily, and they earned my trust. Jen even worked shifts a few times when caregivers had last-minute personal emergencies. She carefully matched caregivers to Mom's personality and changing needs. They worked in three eight-hour shifts 24/7. Jen always followed up with me after my monthly visits and if there was a pressing concern between. Mom's visitors were impressed by the caregivers. They commented that Mom was always neat, well-dressed and happy, and that her home environment was clean and calm. I rested easier knowing Mom was safe, well cared for, and never alone in the home she loved. Right at Home Wilmington was a godsend.

Dear Cathy, Over the past six years that I've been my (now…read more94 year old) mothers full time caregiver I have given you and your company quite a few compliments. However,in my opinion you as the senior director of operations of Wellcare have recently conducted yourself recklessly and Wellcare has callously placed my mother in a dangerous position. Such a goof up is arguably in no way acceptable of a medical professional on your level. Your Linked in profile boasts that you "....improve profitability....and overall cost reductions... " .As previously mentioned, my mother had been a patient under Wellcare Home Health for many years. I would regularly observe that the nurses come to my mothers home and express frustration because my mom requires considerable home health nursing. The nurses would often do the bare minimum and quickly scurry out often expressing their fear of getting reprimanded for taking too much time. And on multiple occasions they had illustrated their resentment when I would ask moms physician's assistant to place additional orders. Earlier this year you had contracted an outside wound care company to help with my mom, however, sadly they had gone out of business and at which point you took it upon yourself to make the executive decision that my mother was too much work for your nurses. Perhaps my mother was too time consuming and in an effort to"improve profitability" you 'forced our hand' and pushed my mother into home hospice care. Soon after being a Liberty home hospice patient my mother was approved to switch to Liberty Home Health. Upon a recent examination by my mothers medical team, they expressed that a new outside wound care company has replaced the former company that closed their doors and given my mothers state it would be best if she was transferred back to Wellcare and under the care of the new wound care company. Now the following is where you placed my mother in a dangerous position. My mother's medical team contacted your office to request that she returns to Wellcare.WELLCARE APPROVED THE NURSE PRACTITIONERS REQUEST. Upon receiving word that Wellcare would take my mother back I was directed to promptly release my mother from under the care of Liberty Home Health. Approximately 72 hours later you had informed me that WELLCARE DECIDED TO NOW REJECT MY MOTHER AS A PATIENT. Consequently, she was now not accepted back into Liberty's home health and HAS BEEN WITHOUT ANY NURSING FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS. In an effort to 'improve profitability' you and Wellcare have demonstrated reckless judgment. You can argue that my mothers wounds are chronic, however I can compare a picture of her sacrum wound from December and the exterior has improved dramatically as a result of the outside wound care company that she is now being deprived of. Now after two weeks my mother has not received any home nursing as a result of Wellcare's 'flip flopping' .In my opinion, it appears that in an effort to 'improve overall costs' you are doing so at the cost of my mother's well being. In closing to anyone else experiencing a similar problem, should you find yourself or your loved one 'left high and dry without nursing supplies, you can get emergency medical supplies from the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Having to go to these measures?I NEVER expected anything remotely like this from WellCare. Sincerely, Corey Allen Kotler Caregiver and Senior Citizen Advocate

These people can be maddening. I was released from the hospital and my PCP had to fax over info to…read moreWellCare to get home health evaluation (I can't get out of bed, live alone, and need help with medication and other basic needs -- I'm a senior). Info was faxed to their office around noon and I called to make sure I'd be contacted today b/c tomorrow is Friday. I was assured that the call request got out to the nurse who did the admission evaluation and that I'd be contacted by the end of the day. Well, when the phone didn't ring I knew it was WellCare, so I called them; was told it was now after hours and that the "triage nurse" wouldn't get in touch with anyone before tomorrow, at which time I would be free to call them and start all over again. I've had them before, and some of the front-line workers are tops -- but the idiots who work in their offices all seem to be in need of common sense and compassion. I told them I couldn't get out of bed to feed or hydrate myself, to take medication, or even to relieve myself. The response of the "triage nurse"? "I'm not interested in going back and forth with you on the phone, you'll just have to call tomorrow." AVOID THESE LOSERS IF YOU CAN!!!
