Before scheduling an appointment for consignment, I got a text from their liaison. I was trying to ask her for more details, and she was just pushing me to schedule an appointment. I bought 6 items to the store in Lido. At the front desk, a staff goes through the items and tells you what is eligible for consignment, which are items that are worth 1k and above in resale. Whatever is under 1k, you can still leave them for resell and "leave the rest to fate" sort of speak. What I mean is that you don't know whether they will accept the items or how much they will price it. And you get a very low % in return if they do get sold. Back to my consignment items- shout out to Josh. He was so very friendly and very approachable. And clearly great at his job. We had a great chat while he examined my items. I had two bags on consignment. One was sold within a week. Now to the non-consigned items. I had 4 items: 3 handbags (Prada, Kate spade and Tory Burch) and one jewelry (a pair of never worn Marc Jacobs earrings). The earrings were not accepted and should be sent back to me. The Kate Spade bag was never used, stored in the original storage bag, with tags attached. Somehow it was rated as "good" in condition, which I didn't really agreed with. On the bright side, the Tory Burch bag was sold within a day and the Prada bag sold within a week. Overall, I had a good first experience. I think if you don't have time or energy to deal with people and listing, this is definitely a great option. I would resell here again.

My boyfriend and I were in Newport today visiting from Los Angeles and as horror/halloween lovers we wondered, "is there a Halloween store here?" and Halloween Bootique popped up on our map search! I'm so glad that it did. This place is EPIC. Amazing selection and kind workers! Lynn helped us out because my boyfriend still didn't have his outfit for the Renaissance Faire and we're going later this month! She swooped in and made the shopping process so much easier! She walked us through the Ren selections and helped style him too! She let him try on the outfit as well! He now has an outfit he loves for our first Ren Faire!! We also purchased a Halloween 4 Poster Mask, which we've been trying to buy for a long time and thankfully Halloween Bootique had it! The pricing of everything was extremely fair as well. They are open daily right now from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. They have superhero costumes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, The Flash, Deadpool, Robin, Spiderman, and more! They sell Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, Assassins Creed, Mariod Brothers, Simpsons, Scooby Doo, pirate, witch, flapper, goddess, and career costumes. It's great because they offer sizes from XS-XXL for infants, toddlers, kids, teens, tweens, and adults. They sell Halloween indoor and outdoor decorations, too. As soon as my daughter and I walked in, the woman at the front counter insulted my daughter! She made a racist remark about my daughters appearance. She called her a clown!!!! My daughter is 8! What a twisted bitch!!! Then she followed us around the store the entire time, almost forcing us 2 buy what she picked out!! I guess she was scared we wud steal....smh ..but she left the front counter 2 follow us!!! Guess shes not used 2 black people living in Newport Beach!!! Great spot and great location. Been here several times just in the last year. Checked it out for the first time last year before they had their larger spot on the other side of the triangle. Myself and my g/f have both gotten several costumes here and always had a great selection to choose from. The best part is that they are open year round which makes them ideal for those costume parties throughout the year or even if you just want to get a good jump on halloween! read more

This place keeps getting better each time I go in! They keep adding more pirate, vampire, anime, cosplay, art, rave, Oddities's, punk, alternative goodies! You can really find any costume, accessory, mask, wig, whatever you need! I know I don't just get dressed up at Halloween as themed parties happen all year round and I know I can rely on this place no matter what time of year it is! Thankfully, Mel, Jill, and Jen at Wicked Chambers staged an intervention. I walked in preparing for four days in San Francisco, starting with Twisted Windows Thursday, then going straight through Friday and Saturday night, and basically told them: make me look hot, dangerous, and just responsible enough to still have TSA PreCheck. Challenge accepted. These women absolutely understood the assignment. I left with black perforated mesh pants that somehow manage to be pants while also making a compelling argument against pants. Then came the black lace up bondage style pants covered in straps, buckles, hardware, and enough dangling temptation to make airport security reconsider several career choices. Then they added the white leather body harness, because apparently subtlety had already been pronounced dead. Next came the black mesh sleeveless top loaded with chains, rings, studs, and hardware. It looks like a fishing net and a dungeon had a very attractive child. And finally, the black tactical thigh bag with spikes and hardware, because every man needs somewhere to keep his phone, wallet, room key, and whatever remains of his dignity by Sunday morning. But the best part wasn't just the clothes. Mel, Jill, and Jen styled the whole damn thing. They listened to where I was going, figured out the vibe I wanted, pulled pieces I never would have picked myself, mixed everything together, and turned a pile of outrageous clothing into actual looks. There is a huge difference between selling someone fetishwear and knowing how to style someone in it. These three know exactly what they're doing. I walked into Wicked Chamber looking for outfits. I walked out looking like Folsom Street Fair should probably have been warned in advance. Twisted Windows, I'm coming. My credit card is traumatized. I, however, have never been happier.
