Recently stumbled upon finding this boutique on Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach! No parking lot but there is street meter parking or neighborhood parking available walking distance few blocks away. The lady working there was very helpful and came by in the morning time during weekday when it was not busy. I was looking for & so happy I found my perfect everyday small handbag to wear by Hobo brand to replace my old handbag. Its 100% genuine leather and the handbag comes with warranty though this store. They also have all different kinds of women's dresses, casual everyday, jewelries, accessories as handbags, candles, gifts&more! Also perfect location near the beach and you can also walk to other stores and restaurants nearby. Will be back again until next time & happy to support small businesses! read more

I came to Huntington Beach two years ago and found this boutique with so many beautiful pieces. My visit recently was for a quick weekend however I was determined to stop by before leaving for the airport. My friend and I came into the store, greeted so kindly by Michelle. We shared I had a flight to catch shortly, can she help us look for clothes. Michelle was ABSOLUTELY amazing, she helped pull different pieces and try on outfits that were so beautiful. I am not much of a shopper but my experience with Michelle was a dream and I loved all the clothes I wound up leaving with. Truly one of my most favorite shopping experiences EVER!!!! Wow I am beyond disappointed in this establishment.. first off I have shopped here a handful of times and have never been turned down. I came on a Tuesday night and found some cute items. As I proceeded to the fitting room I was told that I could not try on any items.. that there wasn't enough room for that. Say what!? (Your fitting rooms were empty) So then the gal then says I can only try on the jeans but not the tops.. that this was upon the discretion of the manager. Horrible! So I just said never mind and walked out. The fact that they expect someone to just buy items without even trying them on is horrible business. I will no longer even look at this place nor recommend it. I wish them the best. I had about $100 plus worth to try on too. I was looking forward to purchasing clothes but I guess not. read more

I have been shopping at this store for prob 10 years now. I love all the different outfits they have. They definitely have a great variety of clothing. The price range for the outfits can be pricey at times, but more of the higher-priced clothing is well known brands that are well-made and worth the money. I was bummed when they took out the huge shoe selection they used to have. Either way they have great accessories and variety. Depending on the day, the ladies that work there are typically wonderful. This store is definitely my go to spot for shopping. read more

Steve Madden Sandals for $25? In a size 5.5? Compared to Nordy's $80 and they rarely have my size? SCORE! At first I thought that there must be something wrong with them. Inspected.....nope. Uncomfortable? Tried them on.....nope. In Gold? YES! Must get. They also had a good variety of heels. In smaller sizes too. I'm a 5 or 5.5 depending on the shoe. It's hard for my little feet to find a pair that fits perfectly. So when I find one, I get really excited. haha. And I would've bought the entire shoe selection however, my carry-on was already full & my bf gave me the 'look.' lol. I went to this boutique to gather info for a project I am doing for FIDM. The sales associate was extremely helpful and pleasant, not to mention the clothes were very cute as well. I ended up finding my mom a really unique looking black metal bracelet for Mother's Day. I will definitely be back to do some personal shopping as well! The store was not too large (which I like) however it was packed full of clothes. I personally would prefer less because it seemed a little overwhelming but on the other hand you will not run short of options! Connected to the store is a separate shoe/accessory area that had a little more room. This is a cute little store on Main street. It's really amazing how much they squeeze into that store and what a variety of stuff they have. There are a ton of really cute things ranging in price from affordable to a bit on the expensive side. The more pricey items were quality items. The staff is very friendly and tried to be helpful. The girl who was helping me was very sweet but didn't seem to understand how to pull things that would work for and flatter someone with larger boobs. They also didn't have much in stock in the larger sizes, I tried on so many cute dresses where the medium was just a tiny bit to small and the large would've been perfect. it won't keep me from coming back though. read more

Living a few blocks from Downtown Huntington Beach is dangerous for a girl. Model Citizen just expanded their already cute clothing store to include a section just for SHOES! A girls dream :) Not only do they have the cutest shoes but they are at a great price! They carry Steve Maddens, Madden Girl, Jessica Simpson, etc. When I checked the prices of the shoes on the actual shoe brand website it was more expensive then what you would get at Model Citizen. Not only are their shoes cheaper but once in a while you will get a 20% coupon in the mail which you could use toward your purchase. I also have a common shoe size 6-6 1/2 so most places don't have my shoe size left but I don't have that problem at Model Citizen! Be sure to check this place out if you are just a visitor in town or a local :) They are located on Main St near El Ranchito. read more

Too crowded! They have two spaces that are right next to each other. So their property is huge. But you can't tell from all of their merchandise! The owners definitely need to get their Store Image right. There's so much stuff, it's overwhelming. You can't even tell that they carry Free People because it's buried under low quality brands. There's barely any room to walk...let alone shop comfortably. Their shoe section is pushed into one corner. And you basically have to stand trying on shoes. Their mannequins are poorly dressed and are shoved in front of their windows. I couldn't believe how tacky this place looked. As far as trends...this boutique is definitely a trend FOLLOWER...and not a trend STARTER. Some of their merchandise is even outdated. I probably won't be coming back, but maybe after they do a complete 180 of everything. One plus...the employees were nice. read more

Love love love this place!!!! You can always find something great in here. Fabulous place to go grab a new outfit for something quick, without the hassle of the mall. I always used to go to Nordstrom or Bebe, but they don't have cute shirts like Model Citizen. I live close, so it's very convenient, and easy to get in and out. I love that they have designer jeans, with tons of shirts to pick from. Im a little more picky with my shoes, however I have glanced at some things and they look cute. There really isn't any drawbacks to the store, but if I had to pick one, it would only be the parking. In the summer it's sometimes difficult to get in there, but the key is to try to go during the week and go early and you shouldn't have any problems. I am finding that I prefer boutiques so much more these days. The girls are always nice and very helpful, as well as attentive. read more

Not only are you going to get THE BEST customer service when you walk in the door...but you can find designer clothes and really really affordable clothes as well. They have everything! And a style for all ages. (The best clearance shoes you'll ever come across too) They will go above and beyond for you to help make sure you have the right outfit going. Stopped by this storefront last Tues. eve. while walking a friends dog through Farmers Market. I was greeted by the store owner who obviously LOVES Bull Terriers. She took the leash and invited us in! How nice is that! As I spoke to her I browsed the shop and omg! They have a very nice clothing line. I'm no fashion expert but I would say the style was hip/sheiky with a little beach flar. Their dresses are beautiful, comfy/elegant, so pretty. I looked up their shop online because I wanted to share it with the owner of the dog that lives a few blocks from the store. When I saw this listing on YELP, I decided to give them a nice review because of their kind hospitality, and the fact that I wished I had more time to try on some of their great clothing. I had a great experience here while on vacation in HB! The biggest selling point of this stores is the service. Fawn had a great knowledge of the store's clothes, how they would fit different body types and what accessories looked best. For example, she provided a bandeau for an unexpectedly low cut dress. The store has a selection of clothes at a variety of price points (dresses range from $50 to $100) which was especially impressive since a lot of their clothes are made in the USA.
