This is my final straw. Second time that I've come here b4 10AM and the place is closed. They clearly don't respect the community that they're working in: 1. Never opens on time. It's now 10:20 AM. The guy had no ideas how to file my nails, spoke no English and talked about me in his language. But was clear to repeat gel gel gel! Next I get to the hands, this girl just did my nails 2 weeks ago. She tells me you have on acrylic and know she charged me for gel which is more. Anyways so I'm like well just take all this off, this bold broad proceeds to snatch my hand and use a fake nail to scoop off the tips. I tell her like yo do not rough up my hands. Update.. July 19,2019.. As I'm sitting here right now I'm having one of the worst experience ever. I'm not too sure if it's the heat but they all seem to have attitudes. From the pedicure, I asked to see the colors while my nail were soaking she piles the color "book" all on top of me. Didn't let me get balance. She couldn't get an ingrown toenail. Next it was time for me to do my SNS, the same sweet Sammie that has done my nails had an attitude when he tried to explain my nails were too short for stiletto. Then he talks and laughs with the Nail tech that's doing my nails. All their professionalism went out the window today. Maybe because they got comfortable with me idk. But today WAS NOT IT‼ So I decided to leave my old nail salon that I've been with for 10years. I found this nail salon off of Instagram. I saw they had designs that were more up to date, and modern. So I decided to give them a try Feb2019. How I wish I found this place earlier!!! Let's start how CLEAN this place is! I'm a Virgo so I observe and critique everything! I went into this salon Sunday evening well before closing to get a pedicure and fill in. The pedicure was amazing however my experience with my full in had lead me to leave this horrible review. First off they failed to explain that they didn't have a matching acrylic as the acrylic I had was a nude pink. After poorly shaping my nails the tech then stated that they only have clear acThe man doing my nails was very unpleasant as if he didn't want to be working. I chucked that up to maybe him having a poor day. He was extremely rough and continuously gripped my fingers with his nail (which sadly looked weird). YES I said something but my pedicure bliss had me in good spirits so I didn't want to complain. That was until this man cut my finger being extremely rough while supposedly cutting my cuticles. I mean a deep BLEEDING cut! I then refused to sit at his table any longer. This horrible tech didn't even attempt to apologize or even acknowledge the fact that he cut my finger. The other techs didn't bother to offer any service until I began to ask for assistance. Eventually another tech (who was thankfully way more pleasant, well versed in customer service and apologetic) called me over. This woman added some sort of protectant to the cut to stop the bleeding and finished my nails (wish she would've done the entire set). And with the money spent and no discounts offered due to the experience it's unacceptable that I have a chip in my pedicures nail polish only 4 days later. Horrible experience. I really liked the way Halo nail spa did my nails. I soaked off my set and got my natural nails done (gel manicure). I loved it. They shaped my nails really nicely. The pedicure was fine I got the basic one and the polish has lasted (it's been two weeks). Just remember you need hot water in the bottom bowl of the acetone that they give you to soak your nails in. You also need oil on your cuticles, your hands, and the palm of your hands to protect your skin. They will just give you a bowl of acetone like that and you'll be sitting there for hours soaking your nails. You need the hot water to warm up the acetone in order for the acrylic to come off. read more

2 weeks later the hard gel is still holding on...no cracks, breaks or lifting. But the bigger rhinestone did fall off on each nail. I think they were secured with more gel instead of nail glue. This has become my semi-regular place recently (I'm still slightly holding on to old faithful). I've been here about 4 times, all different days if the week and times of day and have yet to have a bad experience. I'm a stickler for cleanliness so the fact that they use disposable liners for pedicures is a must. I always do the spa pedicure which includes a leg mask, foot soak, 10 minute massage, paraffin treatment and callous removal. I do wish they used a timer for the massage, because depending on who you get they may slack a bit. My nails always come out beautiful, the polish isn't thinned out and the gel always lasts. The pricing is a bit better than my usual place which is in Long Island but the ambiance is less spa-like; it's what you would expect in Queens so it doesn't bother me. I've come here at opening on a Saturday once and the ladies waiting with me were all polite in letting them know the order of arrival, which is more than I can say for some places so I appreciated that. I did regular polish with gel top coat which is cheaper and equivalent to getting gel polish. My pedicure was ok. I forgot to ask the man his name.
