As you enter the nail spa you are immediately greeted with a smile and offering of assistance. the quiet background music sets the tone of the spa. it is immaculate with polish tastefully displayed. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to my worst enemy. When I called to make an appointment WITH YEN, I asked if 10:30 or 11 was available and he said no, that she was booked till 11 but that I could make an appointment at 11:30 and come at 11:15 because the girl before me "was getting a design." SO, I did just that, I came at 11:15 and Yen was no where in sight. The lady that greeted me sat me down in Yen's chair and proceeded to wrap and soak the dip off my nails - I sat there for 25 minutes with acetone on my fingers and not a single nail tech in sight - there were 3 in the back doing pedicures not paying attention to me sitting there with burning fingers. So now its 11:55 and the lady sees me still sitting in the chair, (seemed to be shocked Yen wasn't helping me), so she put her broom & dustpan down and filed the old dip off of my nails, WELL WOULDNT YOU KNOW - Here arrives Yen - 45 AFTER MY APPOINTMENT WITH A NAIL TECH I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR - She took another hour and 15 minutes to literally give me a plain short nail dip set - well as I chose my color, when she put it in front of me it DID NOT MATCH THE SAMPLE WHAT SO EVER so now she's testing fake nails in front of me to try to find the right color - If you have so many nail techs sitting around, WHY DONT THE COLOR OPTIONS MATCH THE NUMBER !!!!! OH HERES WHY - because the manager (the only man at the store) and Yen were gone from the salon for more than 45 minutes and made me sit there as a paying customer - once we finally found a color that looked somewhat like what I chose, we proceeded because at this point your wasting my day away. She completed my nails and the shape I asked for (after correcting her on every single crooked finger she filed, as she tells me "no honey, it's good" ITS NOT GOOD, ITS CROOKED." I left the salon infuriated for the fact that I scheduled a dip mani and a polish change on my toes and it took an hour and 45 minutes for just a simple dip set and I then couldn't get my toes done because of time issue - I left & went to publix and 2 of my nails cracked immediately, its not 6 days later and I HAVE 6 CRACKED NAILS - I spoke with the manager (the man at the salon) asking for a refund because I refuse to pay for such a terrible job and was told he would speak to the owner and haven't heard a word since. This is a very nice nail salon. Been here a few times and always had a great nail tech. A few things.... They seem to not need the business. Once my pedicure was complete. Walked up front to pay. An employee that happens to be at the front counter, refused to check me out, so I could leave. I sat and waited for another employee to walk up front and asked her to ring me out. She loudly stated 35.00. As was every other pedicure I've had at this salon. I was one of 4 patrons, by the way. I have been getting powder gel manicures for several years. I went to the spa for the first time to get a powder gel. The technician started soaking my nails in a solution. Things were floating in the water and it made me wonder what this was. I continued with the appointment. At the end of the appointment, she took the bowl of solution that my fingers were soaking in that was dirty, and she poured it back into a container in her workstation. Now I know why the solution was filthy dirty. It was because she keeps reusing the solution that my fingernails are soaking in. Absolutely disgusting . I hate writing negative things but I don't want someone else to suffer. I had an appointment at 3:15. I didn't get seated until 3:45. She took the polish off one foot and disappeared until the water was cold and at 4:05 I finally asked where she went. She went to another client, it was so bizarre. She came back to me at 4:15 and started badmouthing the other client saying it was her fault. It's 4:40 and I'm finally done but had to leave without my manicure, I'm out of time. This is my favorite nail salon in Palm Beach County. I first started going here because it was close to my office, but then I loved it so much that it became my official nail salon. I always tell friends to come here because every time I get my nails done they look amazing. My gel manicures usually last 3-4 weeks! DO NOT GET A MANICURE HERE. I went today because I was out running errands. I searched Yelp for a salon nearby and I picked Halo because the reviews seemed to be good. I got a Nexgen manicure and paid $35. That price is fair to me for a manicure. But they didn't give me a manicure. As soon as I sat down the nail technician started applying my Nexgen. Once the whole procedure was done she asked me to wash my hands. She put cuticle oil on my nail beds AND THAT WAS IT. Not once during the entire process did she push back my cuticles or trim my cuticles. What kind of manicure doesn't include cuticle maintenance? And she didn't give me a hand massage with lotion. I have never had a manicure in my life and not received a hand massage. $35 was complete rip off! And to top it off my nail technician didn't know how to file nails at all. I asked for rounded and she kept squaring them off. And when I spoke up she copped an attitude. I was super nice, it's just that if I'm paying for a service, I want to make sure I get what I want. I don't think round nails is too much to ask for. Just a terrible experience all around. Wish I had my $35 dollars back. Spare yourself, skip Halo! read more

Beautiful nail salon! This salon opened in the last 6 months and is so wonderful! It is very clean and has a very soothing and spa-like atmosphere with new massage pedi chairs with attached iPads with wifi--great addition. There are also flat screen tv's with my favorite station--HGTV tuned on with captions, so no competitions with the lovely spa music. The owner and the staff were very nice and did a great job with my pink and white fill and pedicure. My husband was with me, and he had his first pedi! He fell asleep in the chair. We both felt so relaxed and pampered when we left. I felt the prices are very reasonable. We will be returning when we are back to Florida again. read more

I am new to the area and this salon had been recommended to me. While I will say it's clean and presents well, I had to wait 40 minutes for a technician when I had an appointment scheduled. My nails were done and they didn't cure properly under the UV lamps. They had to be re-done. It was a 3 hour experience for a IV gel refill. I was on a tight schedule and the management didn't offer a word of apology for my having to wait that long for starters, then when the nails didn't cure, I had to sit another 45 minutes and have them redone. A good establishment would have offered a discount or free service, especially to a new client. But instead I paid full price and walked out the door. I will never go back! read more

I was really fond of this place until today. I called earlier to get a specific person to do my nails and the woman on the phone said that Dylan would be available at 4 pm and not earlier. So I made an appointment with Dylan @4. Got to Halo at 4, Dylan was taking longer than expected with another client, i said I would wait. Nail technician NANCY said it's not good to wait. She also asked me if I wanted dip or gel for my designer nails. I said gel. I showed her the picture of my inspiration, she said that it was dip. She also said Dylan won't be done till closing. Ps it's currently 5pm and my nails aren't even painted yet. So back tk the story I have a different nail tech and mid way because the younger lady at the beginning told me that my nails were supposed to be dip and not gel but every other nail tech said it was gel and my current nail tech had to take off everything on my nail, including the dip he had just put on. Then, he leaves and tells me the other nail tech lady will be with me in 20 minutes when she is done with her current client who has been waiting 45 minutes. Yen did a hot stone pedicure on him and really took her time with the scrubbing and the massage. Peter did a gel pedicure on me and I picked a light color. He did 4 coats to make sure it was opaque. He was super nice and constantly checked in to make sure everything felt good and the temperature of my water and the hot towels was good. They were accommodating with a same day appointment I made, and then even saw me earlier than I had asked for when my schedule changed. Worst salon experience in my 59 years. Avoid Jessica like the plague. I came in with longer outgrown natural nails. She cut them short and uneven. I showed her that they were different lengths and too short and her reply was that my nails were different lengths when I came in! She cut a ton off so they were uneven because of how she cut them but the worst part was she took cuticle clipper and cut the corner of my thumb nail down on a 45degree angle to the middle of the bed and then told the older woman who came to a semi rescue that she knocked it off with the DreMel tool. It had to be rebuilt with acrylic so it would look like a nail again. They didn't rough up old polish before applying acetone so it didn't come off resulting in the use of a dremel tool which took forever. 2.5 hours for A gel manicure and pedicure. Then i overhear her say from back room that she WON'T do A French manicure (she cut my nails short so I had no real choice when coupled with the fact that much of their toe polish that is what you choose from as you walk in has no matching gel for nails). I asked for someone else to finish. then they charged me $70 as though they did me a favor. She disappeared for a bit in the beginning of the pedicure so I think she was high, As in stoned. Very disappointed. They were unable to make Halloween decorations on acrylic nails for my daughter even though I called to ask if they could when I made appointments. Although nails were fine, she only had different color polish on and completely ignored us when we asked- she did put black stripes on one nail. My mani/pedi was rough and I had to come home to refile my nails. Worst of all, their hours said they were open until 7, and at 6:25 while we were drying they shut the TVs off and put their purses in the table. I am so disappointed with this place. I came in for a regular manicure and Anthony talked me into dips telling me they would last 4 weeks. He quickly completed what I thought was a dip manicure because I had never had one. They started to erode at the top 4 days after he did them. At 8 days I went to a different salon with completely chipped nails thinking maybe it was my nails. They took one look and said they hadn't been done correctly. After having them done by a trained professional I can attest that Anthony didn't do them correctly.
