The complex itself is very. Tenants off and on ar questionable. Management seems to hold double standards for renters.

Sam Thomas  complained 4 months ago about the gym equipment. One resident told me it's been broken since April of 2022. SEVEN months ago, I was told that there was a budget for the complex to fix things, and the priority was the porches. I saw two porches being fixed. TWO all summer.Mine hasn't been touched, and it needs to be. It's now 2024, and the same equipment is still broken! If everyone is being charged a $50 "amenity" fee A MONTH for the gym, shouldn't that be enough money to fix the broken gym equipment. A sign is posted in the gym that literally states PLEASE REPORT ANY BROKEN EQUIPMENT TO THE OFFICE. Sam Thomas complained SEVERAL TIMES, and all Miss Zschuschner can say is, "we have vendors on standby to address equipment issues promptly." And to call the office to address his concerns. He has already called several times, and to this day, it still hasn't been addressed. So now two people have complained, will it get done? Or will your response be to just reach out to talk more about it? The only person who should be picking up the phone to call anyone is the property manager to this so-called vendor on hand to address the issue. Is that the reason why there are SO MANY apartments that are available because things aren't being done. If your top priority is the safety and comfort of your residents, why is this still an issue!?! Prior management handled all complaints without all the excuses. It's time to follow suit. read more

Update: there are carpenter ants in the house. They told me that pest control comes every two weeks so I was waiting but.. I am posting this because they forgot about me I guess. I am moving out after a month so I will just catch these ants by myself and endure. read more

12 maintenance requests in 4 months! TWELVE! Run far away! From roaches; to super smelling pungent AC unit; to dryer smelling like smoke; to maintenance flooding the apartment all the way down to the 1st floor neighbors house because when fixed dryer and replaced with new one, they forgot to reattach water hose to washer; from them taking 2 months to get a new dryer; from new dryer CATCHING ON FIRE! Now apartment still is unsafe to live in due to mold from the flooding due to their negligence they caused two months ago; to maintenance not answering emergency call line after 5:30pm, and then finally answered after 3x, to not call back until 11am next day; to management not answering calls or emails to find a new apt; Absolutely horrific! RUN FAR, FAR away!! read more

I lived in the Halstead apartments from March 2014 up until March of 2022. There was a management change and an upgrade to the property while I was living here. The upgrade to the complex has made the apartments look much nicer. I enjoyed my time while living in the complex as it checked off all of the boxes I was looking for. Great location as it was close to everything I needed, quiet area, garage and the apartment was a nice size. Management was quick to respond if there was a question or issue and were always very polite and helpful. I have a lot of great memories from the 8 years and will miss the apartment. This is a great place to consider if you value living in Tarrytown. It's close enough to the bridge and there are so many things to do in town year round. John Byrnes read more

Over priced nickel and dime you ever which way you turn. For example, the apartment rent doesn't cover parking for your car. I'm not just talking about a private garage, a plain old painted lines outdoor spot will be extra. Then you pay your heat and hot water. But the temperature in the hot water heater is set by management, at 211f by the way. If your gone for a week in January your heating 20 gallons to a near boil the whole time your away. Hello, haven't they heard of on demand hot water heaters? Try and find someone in the office, I dare you. These people must be playing hide and seek. If you don't care about being screwed and having the pleasure of paying through the nose for it, be my guest. Remember, it's run by a corporation and you know what they care about. read more

Very dissatisfied. I scheduled an appointment to meet as a potential renter. I was asked to come at 3pm on a Sunday. I showed up to the office closed. I waited a half hour with no success. As a potential renter, this leads me to think that the leasing office must have an over abundance of potential renters, due to how the time I took out of my day was not a priority. Very dissatisfied, disappointed and will not be looking to rent through this company. read more

We lived here for 2 months during a relocation to NYC. We needed a place that was in a good school district and allowed for a short-term lease; this was the only option. The apartment is clean and functional. The building is safe and the staff are friendly. But, as with the other reviews, they look for every opportunity to keep your security deposit. They managed to find more than $3,000 worth of charges to hit us with after our departure. Each is -- technically -- covered in the lease. So, be sure to follow it to the letter. The moment cash is involved, you're dealing with a soulless corporation. I would not recommend living here unless you absolutely have to. read more

Terrible! I have lived here for 2-1/2 yrs. It's like living in a zoo but the animals would be a better time than this dump. Your lucky to park in your driveway that you pay for. Dirty and drug infested complex. People openly smoking marijuana next to the doggie bags at the end of complex. (Too many times to count)Had people having sex in the playground. (10-15) The snow has a better chance of melting than to be removed by the mgt. Management is no help. They just give you the run around until your lease is up than raise the rate 30% knowing you are only here for the school district. I feel Ike a hostage. Can't wait to move. @Jen. I've been a resident for three-plus months. Joe Uljaj (Manager) and Lisa Mac Neil (Asst. Manager) are very professional, but also very personable. The maintenance staff is prompt and knowledgeable. I note that there are negative reviews from previous years and believe that Joe and Lisa have taken care of these. Do not be dissuaded from considering this apartment complex based on anachronistic reviews. read more

I am a long time resident here and I am extremely impressed with the exceptional improvements. So many fabulous updates! I will attribute this to the current management team and dedicated care of the maintenance staff. The property Is well maintained , visually beautiful and safe. Service calls are tended to promptly and communication is seamless. Most importantly the property managers are warm, professional and It's a pleasure to see how invested they are in the residents. I made an appointment online. I received a reminder email for the appointment which clearly was system operated, as I went to the office and it was closed. Because of this experience, I am no longer interested in renting from this company and it already tells me a lot about their management's attention to detail. read more

this is the worst place i have ever lived in, besides rent going up every year to a ridiculous amount, the appliances would break often. the neighbors smoke weed and the smell come in the apartment. when i finally decided to leave the management tried to use strong arm tactics to make me stay and the final insult is they came up with a &1000 worth of cleaning fees even though the place was left spotless. i read reviews before moving there and i wished i listened. they should me ashamed of themselves, what a horrible way to treat people read more

CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We drove 90 minutes and were stood up by Julie. Then we spoke to Carol and Batchi (?) and they told us to come at 3pm after being stood up at 1pm. We were stood up twice! We spoke to a man on the phone angry about our experience and he just had excuses. Screw this place. It's a shame because we needed an apartment in less than three weeks, and that we are victim to incompetence. Go anywhere but here. Never again. What is wrong with people? Cockroaches! I've had cockroaches in my apartment for two weeks. Pest control has come twice and after their last visit I saw two live ones (crawling up the closet and on my sink). In order to break my lease they are charging two months rent since they feel they are "addressing the issue". Two weeks with cockroaches that are still not gone with no compensation and being forced to pay them to break my lease?!!! Unacceptable, disgusting and unfair. 0 stars. read more

The only good thing about this place is its location. The price for rent is outrageous. Management is not helpful at all, and most of the time the office is closed during work hours. It takes them weeks to respond to any inquiry. The trash is all over the place. Children are running around like crazy without any supervision, jumping right in front of the cars. Cars are parked anywhere, including fire lanes. Residents will ofter stop their car in the middle of the road, so they can get mail. read more

I've been living at Talleyrand Crescent apartment for several years. It's the best decision I have made for myself and my children. My children attends the Irvington school district which has so much to offer. Living at Talleyrand has great benefits staff an maintenance team are always courtesy and friendly. Service request are always answered in a timely fashion . Talleyrand is a fairly large complex but, every year a block party for the entire community has been a big hit for everyone to meet, mingle enjoy good food. And form lasting relationships . I'm happy to call Talleyrand Crescent home. read more

I have lived at Talleyrand for a number of years and will say the maintenance team is excellent. They are friendly and reliable and go out of their way to get a job done to perfection. The new Property Manager, Vedzaida, is the best this complex has had in years. She answers every email and addresses all concerns immediately. I have complete trust in her, which is very comforting since there are many challenges to living in a busy complex such as Talleyrand. I recommend this property to anyone seeking an apartment in the Westchester area. read more
