Despite not having a TMJ specialist on staff, Valley Dental Health agreed to see her the same day I called. They took her in and gave her an exam. They wrote her a script to help deal with the pain and offered some people that she could follow up with for additional assistance. One of those people was able to see her within a day or two. While Valley Dental Health couldn't assist my wife with her specific issue, I appreciate how they brought her in and examined her in a timely manner, provided a temporary solution and offered some referrals that got her on the road to recovery.

Instead, she talked about discounts on dental treatment and about purchasing dental insurance through my employer. A second white lady had to step in. She also was useless in explaining how to get dental insurance. I had a simple question: How do I get dental insurance? This company failed to answer that, and instead fed me lies. She put a bib on me and poked around for a minute & looked at my X-rays & said I would need 2 crowns on "3 & 15" but that wouldn't happen today, this would just be a cleaning today. I said "I think we're done here - raise the chair please." And as I was getting up I was instructed to return to the reception area for check out. However, I was disappointed to discover that Dr. Sirius informed me that the amount of work I required might exceed my dental coverage, which could result in additional expenses. Despite expressing my concern about surpassing my dental coverage, his team continued to schedule appointments for me to receive treatment, even though it was clear that I had surpassed my limit. This ultimately resulted in my incurring a debt of over $700, which left me feeling disheartened. I believe that Dr. Sirius and his team had the responsibility to inform me clearly and transparently that my upcoming procedure would not be covered by my insurance. As a result, I was left feeling as if I did not matter to the practice, and I now have a new dentist who prioritizes open communication and always informs me if a procedure will be covered by my insurance before treatment.
