I am heartbroken they are closing their doors next month. However, during that time, we had our practitioners change four times due to them leaving the practice. Unfortunately, our latest provider recently left the practice and we have been told we cannot continue to be seen there as nobody is taking "new" patients. We do not consider ourselves to be new patients since we have been going there for the past decade or more. Now we are trying to find a new practitioner in the Richmond area (with little success) and that leaves us without medicine refills, etc. This is certainly no way to run a practice and it is extremely disappointing, to say the least.

Of course they prescribe suboxone at a suboxone clinic. However they don't have the knowledge of how to properly taper you off & have no intention of doing so, no matter how long you've been prescribed it. I have never been treated so unfairly by having my phone calls blatantly ignored, being penalized by not having enough to pay (either by having my prescription dosage dropped significantly, weekly visits, probationary period where my dosage would be upped as long as I consistently showed up, & not a single refill afyer years of being a "paitent", etc.) Dr. Nardone is nothing but a quack/crook, with subordinates who are too afraid to say anything. It would be nice to find out corporates number to further discuss the corrupt actions that occur on a frequent basis. This isn't a one time occurrence where I'm flying off the handle so to speak but years of built of negligence. Cheers.

Let me first just say that I am in no way a robot or someone paid to post this review. My fiance…read morewent to the Richmond, VA office for a little over a year receiving suboxone treatment. When doing her intake they advised they do NOT i repeat do NOT take any type of insurance for office visits including Medicare/Medicaid. Despite of that fact, they asked her for her Anthem insurance card anyway and when questioned as to why, they advised it would only be used in the case of lab/urine tests. She had 2 separate intake appointments costing $350 out of pocket each. The reason for 2 intakes was that too much time elapsed (a few weeks) between her first and second visits. Then she was charged $220 cash once a month for 12 months. After being advised by one of the doctors (she saw 6 DIFFERENT doctors total over the course of a year!) that she would need to file a claim with her insurance to receive an approximate percentage of 65-70% of her out of pocket costs. After going back and forth with her insurer it was discovered that in fact Foundation Medical billing had submitted and were PAID by her insurer for all but one visit (the one visit was the one doctor that was actually out of network when she was told that NO doctors there accepted any insurance). For those that know, this is clear cut and completely fraudulent. If it had been 1 incident it could maybe be chalked up to human or computer error but @ 14 separate claims submitted and paid by insurance it more than stretches the limits of anyone's imagination that it wasn't intentional. I can say that the office in Richmond is nice and there was rarely a wait but because of this (months later and still NO money back from them), I am forced to give them one star. My suggestion to anyone going there is to NOT give them any insurance information until it is specifically needed to cover labs or urine screens. Thank you for reading this.

I always felt like the support staff would rather be playing on their phone than assisting me, and I would have a very long wait while I was in the office to see him. It would also take a significantly amount of work to get refills called it. I felt like I was bothering the staff to do their jobs. Then, two years ago I had an injury and made a 'first available' appointment, and was seen by Dr. Miller. Well, she was FANTASTIC! She took the time to listen to me and really was far superior to Dr. Veech, so I called to have my annual switched over to Dr. Miller. I had to wait 6 months to get an appointment, but it was worth it. I have been going to her for the last year and a half, and then I get a letter in the mail that she is leaving the practice. So now I'm leaving the practice too.

I have also had issues in the past with them twice failing to return urgent phone calls for 3-5 days and forgetting to order blood tests prior to when I showed up for an appointment. I have had friends express similar horror stories going to this practice.... They are extremely disorganized. I am looking for a new primary care doctor. The experience with the staff was unacceptable.
