I feel so fortunate to have found Paws First, which gives me the option to have my pets cared for in their own home. The ability to book online makes arranging for pet sitting so easy and convenient. Response time is always very quick, and the rates are reasonable for the peace of mind these people provide. I love getting email updates on how my dogs are doing. Even when they're naughty and get into the trash or have a little accident, everything is in order when I get home and my dogs are happy and loved. **Need to add an update because of one visit in particular. It has taken me a while to be able to write this. Over the Summer, I had the amazing folks from Paws First watching my dogs while I was away for the weekend out of state. My senior dog's health had been in decline for a while, but it didn't seem to be cause for too much concern- just typical old dog stuff. One night, her health took a very sudden and dramatic turn. It was clear that if she were brought in to the the vet that she would not be returning. I didn't want my old girl's last moments to be spent someplace unfamiliar. The staff at Paws First went above and beyond to provide extra care and comfort to her when she needed it most so I could race home to be with her. I am forever grateful for all they did for her.

They completely missed trimming the thumb nail, and a month later I noticed my cat constantly biting at her paw. When I checked, I found that the missed nail had grown into her paw pad, causing her pain and discomfort. I called the hospital to explain what happened and scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, the staff immediately tried to shift the blame by saying, "We see that her nails grow quickly." I corrected them right away--none of her other nails were even close to being long. It was very clear this one nail had been missed during the trim. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they refused to take responsibility and tried to charge me $200 for an antibiotic to treat a problem they caused. I told the doctor this should be fixed at no cost since it was their error, but they refused and sent me home with my cat--still injured and without medication. One of the worst veterinary experiences I've ever had. I've been to many vets and never encountered such poor care, lack of accountability, and disregard for an animal's well-being. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet.

Our dog needed to go to the ER for a possible stroke - I looked up the closest VET ER and I couldn't find anything on the shore ... so Linwood is only 10m away right off of the Longport bridge. I called them in transit to facilitate coming in/the paper work. The entire office and team were nothing but professional/caring. They even connected with our VET in CO immediately to look at changes in his blood work panel. And we had Dr. Silit who I believe was just filling in for the day - but he had wonderful bedside manners and was so patience with our anxiety... This place also had plenty of Jiff peanut butter for my dog Winston. Yes - I def got an outside patient VET bill but if you are a dog owner .. that does not matter. Although - I do believe our insurance will cover part of it when we submit it for reimbursements. Things to NOTE: 1) BUSY and you wait in the parking lot and text when you have arrived unless you have an ER type situation 2) Very attentive and caring 3) Masks are worn and required for the owners (vaxxed or unvaxxed - doesn't matter 4) we def waited in anxiety without seeing our dog but I didn't feel like they were not doing what they were suppose to do.. if you are looking to save money - don't come here but if you have ER needs and care about your animal bc they are family ... then you come here.
