He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

We were transferred from a North Jersey animal hospital to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital because we were told they were the best of the best -- and my goodness, that could not have been more true. From the emergency team to the greeters at the front desk, every single person treated us with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. They took Paisley in immediately, and the neurology team had her scheduled for an MRI first thing the next morning. I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Sheen. Her compassion, knowledge, and incredible people (and animal!) skills were beyond reassuring during such a traumatic time. She even went the extra mile to check on Paisley's results on her day off. That level of care meant everything to us. After some much-needed good news, we later worked with Dr. Haggerty for five tooth extractions and a root canal. Once again, from the moment we walked through the doors, we were blown away by the level of care and expertise. The hospital itself is spotless, massive, and run so seamlessly. Honestly, if I ever needed surgery, I'd want it to be at Red Bank It is an incredible place for both humans and animals during times of crisis and need. We are forever grateful to the entire team for taking such amazing care of Paisley. Thank you for being exactly who everyone says you are -- the absolute best.

After tests and scans we found that he a very large glioma brain tumor, one of the biggest they've seen in a small dog (he's a morkie). Cosmo already has diabetes and heart disease which complicated things a bit. We met with both internal medicine, neurology, and oncology to figure out the best plan for Cosmo as his brain tumor is inoperable. He went on a bunch of new medication that would hopefully lessen the frequency of the tumors until we underwent treatment. After meeting with Dr. Spanos from Oncology-Radiation she went over many different treatment plans listing out the pros and cons of each in addition to letting me know any and every side effect Cosmo might encounter. These treatments were also sent to me via email which I appreciated so I could really take the time to sit down and think about it. After a lot of deliberation we decided to start CFRT radiation treatment on a 10 day plan. It means Cosmo would need to undergo radiation treatment for 10 consecutive days (apart from weekends) and would need to go under anesthesia every time. I won't lie, it was tough. Cosmo was very lethargic due to the treatment but Dr. Spanos team did a great job and were very patient with him even though he's a very nervous boy at the vet. Once he completed his 10 days of CFRT treatment we received a certificate, we rang a bell, and the whole team who took care of him came out to celebrate. I'm happy to say we've been slowly tapering off his medicine and have completely stopped taking the prednisone/steroid for swelling. Additionally, Cosmo is now 70 days seizure free and has been back to acting like his normal self prior to us learning about his diagnosis. He still plays, gets the zoomies, and loves his long walks. He just is on a tight schedule for his anti-seizure medication. I can't thank the team at GSVS enough for giving me more precious time with Cosmo. Everyone I've interacted with in the hospital has been kind, understanding, and willing to go the extra mile for my pup. We are so grateful! We go back for a follow-up MRI to examine the status of Cosmo's tumor towards the end of summer.

My cat, Jasper, was very ill and hospitalized there for 4 days. The emergency room veterinarians and technicians were amazing. One ER doctor called me multiple times over the course of 2 days just to keep me updated on my baby. How amazing! Then Jasper was transferred from emergency medicine to the internal medicine team. This is when we met Dr. DiBenedetto- our hero. I cannot say enough amazing things about this man. He showed true compassion towards me and Jasper, he worked extremely hard to determine what was causing Jaspers illness, spent a great deal of time providing me with all the details of his illness, treated him appropriately, and SAVED HIM! Nine days after discharge, Jasper started to feel unwell again. Luckily we already had a follow up visit scheduled, so off we went to Redbank again. Dr. DiBenedetto promptly determined the diagnosis, explained to me in detail what we could do to help him, and provided me with honest and empathetic options. We decided to treat Jasper at home, as funds were tight after a 4 day hospital stay. Now two weeks after that last visit, Jasper is THRIVING!! He saved him for 2nd time!! Jasper turned 9 on June 6th and I owe it all to Redbank's amazing staff- especially Dr. DiBenedetto, his tech Liz, and the rest of the internal medicine team. The empathy, compassion, thoroughness, respectfulness, and intelligence that Dr. DiBenedetto possesses is truly exceptional. Thank you!!!! PS- I also love that they have a coffee station, water, tea, and a vending machine. The establishment is always very clean and the front desk staff are polite. Prior to surgery, the doctors at VRC indicated that successful surgery would get us 1-3 more years with our pet. During surgery, they were able to remove most but not all of the metastatic growth so it was recommended that we move forward with chemo and radiation which would extend his life by 3-6 months instead of the 1-3 years initially stated. Well, our dog died exactly a week after surgery, 1.5 hours after my mother passed. The exact situation that we were trying to avoid unfolded as our worst nightmare. Unbeknownst to us, VRC operated even though our dog was anemic, and as a result, he spent the last week of his life in pain and internally bleeding. The morning of his passing, he was vomiting up blood clots and there were clots coming out of his nose. He was in shock and urinated all over my husband as he carried him to the car to rush him to our closest Vet ER (not VRC). At the ER, we were told it was too late so we made the impossible but humane decision to hold our dog until his last breath. After arriving home, we couldn't even mourn the two deaths we just experienced because we had to clean up the blood from our carpets, curtains, floors, walls, etc. before our young children got home from school so we didn't traumatize them. We paid VRC over $10k and all they did was kill our pet in the most traumatic way. On top of that, they haven't once reached out to check on our pet (he was supposed to have his sutures removed two weeks after surgery but obviously we didn't get to do that, but no one called to find out why) or express their condolences for our loss. I would and could not ever recommend this vet practice to anyone. So disappointing and heartbreaking.
