I've used many groomers over the years and I can tell by my pup's demeanor if it was a good or bad experience. My dogs always come back from Geri with a happy attitude. I am happy with Pawpurrazzi! it's never a long wait and that is best for the dogs, less stress. Dog grooming is a very difficult job, but Geri makes it a pleasant experience for us. I've been going there for a few years now, always a good job.

We received photos everyday and they worked their magic with her while we were away. She got a lot of attention and socializing with the staff and other dogs. It has made such a difference in her behavior. It is such a relief to know that we can go away with peace of mind and not have to worry about our new fur baby. Response time is always very quick, and the rates are reasonable for the peace of mind these people provide. I love getting email updates on how my dogs are doing. Even when they're naughty and get into the trash or have a little accident, everything is in order when I get home and my dogs are happy and loved. **Need to add an update because of one visit in particular. It has taken me a while to be able to write this. Over the Summer, I had the amazing folks from Paws First watching my dogs while I was away for the weekend out of state. My senior dog's health had been in decline for a while, but it didn't seem to be cause for too much concern- just typical old dog stuff. One night, her health took a very sudden and dramatic turn. It was clear that if she were brought in to the the vet that she would not be returning. I didn't want my old girl's last moments to be spent someplace unfamiliar. The staff at Paws First went above and beyond to provide extra care and comfort to her when she needed it most so I could race home to be with her. I am forever grateful for all they did for her.

This was the first time that the owner of the agency refused to provide a last name/resume/address/credentials/phone number/ANY VERIFIABLE INFORMATION for the sitter up front. She seemed to take it personally that I didn't take her word for it that her referral was flawless. But again, as a mom of three kids who travels regularly - I've learned the value in validating and doing a basic google search of the person I'm hoping to leave three small children with. On Monday, the owner wrote to me, "XX will reach out with a blocked call to introduce herself, if you miss her call, no worries, she will be there for you all on Saturday." I politely asked for a last name and a phone number, such that I could speak to her in advance of her standing in front of me and my kids before I leave to go to a wedding for six hours. The owner replied telling me no, I could not have any of that information because, "XX is very well established in our organization." Then she tried to push me by saying that there's only one other agency in the area and its not insured in NJ and is so large. This was consistent with the level of professionalism we experienced. By Wednesday morning, I still hadn't heard from the sitter or been given anything that I could independently verify. I emailed the owner to tell her this wouldn't work out. Magically, the sitter calls me within minutes of me hitting send and is now willing to make an exception and share her phone number. By this point (four days before the event), we have made other arrangements with someone willing to let me Google them in advance. This agency's sitters may all be amazing. But I've never once been told by an agency (or a competent babysitter, for that matter) that I can't see a copy of a sitter's CPR certificate, identification, or dated background check. In this day and age, we just can't take the chance and go with a "trust me, I run an agency" approach. Particularly when other reviews of this agency here and elsewhere indicate there have been issues of sitters not showing up or not being professional. The owner texted me to tell me that she would still charge us the sitter referral fee because she DID make a placement and it was my choice to cancel her. She and I have a different opinion on what a placement is - mine isn't "here is the first name of a person." She can keep the $20 though - seems like they need it more than we do. UPDATE: 10/25/2019 1) To re-iterate, we did NOT hire a babysitter and this is a review of the agency's policies, not the babysitter herself, since we found a different babysitter before this agency's sitter called us. 2) To be clear, the owner did not literally say "trust me, I run an agency." Instead, she argued that I did not need to see any supporting documents about the sitter (including her last name, a dated background check, or her phone number) because, as she literally texted to me, "I vet the sitter so clients don't have to." In three states and in five sitter agencies, I have always been sent more information and/or supporting documents or we have chosen not to use that baby-sitting agency. 3) The owner asserts that the babysitter called me several times and just did not leave a message. I do not believe this is true. 4) After texting me "as soon as you remove your yelp statement i will be happy to refund our 20.00 fee for scheduling n canceling a sitter," she did go ahead and refund the fee. To be clear, I did not request this refund. 5) The owner has told me multiple times by text message that she is contacting an attorney "in reference to slander and disrupting business on false pretenses."

I actually took my baby there to spend half a day, just to see how he did and give the staff a chance to see how he reacted to his environment away from home! They have special treats, like pizza night and bagel mornings along with summer swim if you desire. Check out all they have to offer! They actively prey on the love you have for your pet, knowing you will do whatever it takes to help them, and they use that vulnerability to financially destroy you. The price gouging is so severe, so calculated, and so shameless that it feels like outright extortion. ​This is especially true with their medications. It is absolutely sickening how they hold your pet's health hostage by charging astronomical, unjustifiable markups on life-saving medicine that costs a fraction of the price anywhere else. They know your animal needs it to survive or be out of pain, and they use that exact desperation to line their own pockets. Every single basic necessity is marked up to a disgusting degree while they casually tally up a bill that leaves you gasping. ​You go to a vet expecting comfort, compassion, and urgent medical care. Instead, leaving this place just leaves you feeling completely hollow, sick to your stomach, and utterly robbed.
