Jake and all the divers who help him instruct (and wrangle) students are supportive, patient, and clear. This class featured people of all ages and abilities, and the instructors were quick to give each student any necessary attention. They make everything easy. They suit you up with all the equipment you need (and the gear is high quality... I had a brand new wetsuit). They help you through the written work, and you get a thorough practical lesson in a local pool. Then... a few lake dives (far more to see than I expected!). I felt more confident with each session. If you are interested in trying scuba, Jake is the man. He'll teach you well, and he'll do it with kindness and humor. The shop offers a huge range of qualifications and trips, so I hope to go back in the water with them soon.

If a dance instructor has an issue with a child's abilities, the policy should be to take it up directly with a parent. They have no right telling a child they aren't good at dance! They shouldn't be allowed to interact with children until they get further training, as I consider this to be detrimental to a child's development. Update: I took my concerns directly to the teacher, and there was zero follow through or help with repairing this issue. I never heard from the owner, so I can only assume she doesn't care about the health and well being of children at her studio. It is in your child's best interest to find a safer place to dance.

Professor Devin was great and my first time I showed up for what I didn't realize was an intermediate/advanced class. Everyone in the class was great. I rolled with three different people, all of whom could have smashed me if they wanted to, but they worked with my lack of training. They didn't go "easy" on me but tempered their responses. All of the kids look like they are having a fantastic time and all walk out a sweaty mess with smiles on their faces.
