You only know how good customer service is if there is conflict. In our expericence, we were yelled at and blamed for our circumstance. We were told to move everything or be charged a fee and possibly have police called on us for dumping. How did this happen? An employee told us we had until the end of the month to empty our unit. With it being July, we understood the "end of the month" meant 31st. Except to our surprise, the employee meant the 30th. What happened when we tried expaining the situation? Like I said above we were yelled at. My wife was called stupid for the employee mistake. For this experience alone we will never be a return customer. I dont think anyone should store their goods at this storage facility. Also please consider that the inside storage does not have ventilation. None. So if you are told to empty your unit in summer, you will be scolfed at and ridiculed for knowing that it is a storage shed. Buyer beware. Take lots of water and breaks during summer heat waves. Inside felt like 120 easy because it was hotter than our car!! Someone forgot about liability. read more

Well this place what can I say. I called one day and had a unit the next. Very friendly very help fast and easy. I don't want to say the wrong name but the young lady at the desk was on top of her stuff. The facility is nice clean easy to get to easy to find you're unit. One way in one way out. The owners and staff allowed one of their several loose dogs to viciously attack me while I'm trapped inside the gate with reoccurring gate problems. I've received bills and constant phone calls that my storage rent is overdue or hasn't been paid in months. I have never missed a payment. They've had months of construction preventing access even painting my paid for storage lock shut and have not replaced it. Nena, the on sight manager drives around rudely asking what I'm doing stating the 45 mins I'm there while moving is unacceptable to her standards. Nena, Katrina, Anthony seem to care more for the dozen fancy breed dogs they store there then humans who pay to legitimately store personal property. read more

Called the budget truck rental corporate office to make a complaint about this location. What a joke! I've rented from other locations numerous times without any issue. The Modesto location is super honest and helpful. However this Stockton manager was horrific! We turned in our truck using the after hours drop off and they lied about the status of the truck. They charged our credit card far more then they were supposed to, and then were rude when we called to find out why. Apparently we should have photographed the whole truck to prove we handled things correctly, something I've never had to worry about with other locations. Total rip off. read more

They claim they bill on a 30-day cycle and I was locked out of my unit on my last paid day. The contract states you are billed monthly and my contract began on the 31st of a month. They expected me to be thankful that they let me in my unit and were rude. read more

Drove 60 miles out of our way to pick up a rental truck I have reserved and an email confirmation for. I'm on time and get told the trucks out front are reserved and none of them are for me. I asked her to find out what happened with my reservation and she would not help me. So I go outside and call budget trucks to find out what is going on. She comes out and walks to a truck outside and makes a comment about my attitude and how she would not rent to me anyways. Wow!!!! Stay away from this place. And stay away from Budget trucks here. It was bad enough I drove out of my way to get the truck to find out it wasn't here but to get a comment like that from her while I'm arguing with the budget rep on the phone. This business lowers customers in with good faith service and then ripped them off with late charge fees. They slap late charges on your storage unit within 9 days of non nonpayment. Do not fall for the yelp reviews. The owners discount some customers to write good reviews on social media sites. This outfit is a sham and a disgrace to the community. During the initial phase of the pandemic they charged a number of their customers late fees who could not make it down to there office to make their payment on time. Take your business to a brand name storage facility, these off brand businesses take you for a ride. If you are a business owner do not rent from these people. Convenient, clean and secure! I was in need of a secure facility to store a fair amount of personal property from an estate I inherited in Stockton. I must have looked at 8 other self-storage locations around town, all were either in a dicey area, filthy or over-priced. If it was the possible to complete a review with a negative star I would. I was helping out an individual that needed to make a payment. In the past the payment was accepted via phone. Today they wouldn't accept it and stated I needed to come in office with identification. After rushing out there I asked what would stop me from making the payment after showing my identification. This is when the "Collection Manager " decided she would wasn't taking my debit card because she didn't trust me . She wanted to be rude or as the other rep said "direct ". And became loud . The person I was with was irritated at this point. After a few more minutes the gentleman at the office and explained the policy changed which was completely understandable. He accepted my card and I left. In my opinion he is the glue that keeps the establishment together. It's important when working with the public that you don't judge a book by its cover. read more

This is my second time storing with them it's like my second closet and I absolutely will not store my clothes and shoes anywhere else. As a business i moved my storage unit to this facility in Stockton. As a business 24 hour access is needed and was granted without issue. However I moved into this unit in middle of feb 19 and about a week later the gate opening key pad has been broken. The desk keeps saying they are working on it etc and every week I am told next week.. etc. it is now April and still nothing has been done and what I have been told by the property manager "Dennis" is that the owner is to cheap and doesnt want to fix the issue. I explained the issue of the busniess and that the only reason I agreed to move to this unit from the last was because they insured me 24hr access etc. today I was told that in the contract basically they can change and do whatever they want as long as it's posted on the door. So basically once you sign the contract it really don't mean anything on your end. As they are able to change whatever they want. They have also now blocked it so that you can't key in from the out box as well. Making it that someone has to be on property to open the gate for you (reg operating hours) This is not what my business signed up for when signing a $200 monthly contract. I was told by Dennis that they don't have a plan to fix it and if I didn't like it to go ahead and move out. Needless to say that's what I will be doing. Taking my business elsewhere. If you want to be treated like crap by the property manager and have someone not hold up to there end of the contract then this is the place for you. If you want to give your money to a person that is not going to maintain and fix issues in a timely manner that directly affects your business, than this is the place for you (really 2 months to fix a key pad).
