Sneaky company, they keep increasing your rent and they moved my payment due date from the 17th to the 1st. I called in to see about getting my rate down and they advised I could be saving 50.00 a month if I apply on their website to move units! WOW!!! I am now looking for a different storage facility. I'm not a fan of being taken advantage of! Every penny counts in this economy - I feel like I've been ripped off for years now being over charged 50 a month times 12 is 600.00 a year!!!! Update on my last contact with the manager. I told her we got broken into and I haven't heard nothing back from the company. She begins to tell me there's a rate increase. I said wait a minute. I just told you I can't even get into my locker could you help me with that Before you jack me for some more money than she said that the last manager was just a feel in and she didn't get no messages. 8/01/22 Every time I come, the door is always locked. I tried to be proactive by calling to set an appointment to come in but I was told that I didn't need to because someone is always on site. 3x already. Another thing. I have two storage with them and what are the chance of them messing up twice? I asked them nicely, is the storage ready to go? Worker says "yes lock is out and ready" . I go to the unit , unit is NOT ready and green lock (company lock) is still on. This happened to me once before so second storage , i asked " are you sure its unlocked and ready", he says yes "all ready" . Well it happened AGAIN, im starting to believe they just don't care. Update: 9/2/22 Our storage unit was broken into TWICE. i asked for camera footage--- cameras are currently inactive. Everything I had in storage, rummaged and valuable items GONE. Me and another 3 ppl got their units broken into. A police report was made and u know what the police said? "If I were u, I'd move the rest of my stuff out of here. This storage is known to be broken into and management never does anything about it, no working cameras nor extra security." There u have it. Manager told my daughter that there's been alot of break ins recently, this is not acceptable and they should be liable for not having functioning security cameras. What a coincidence? Hello there... Man, what can I say. Just great service! We were there yesterday and unfortunately the gate was not working so we had to go through the side gate which was fine. Shylo, the property manager just went above and beyond to help us out by loading and unloading our stuff and dealing with others with the mayhem of not having the gate working which was out of her control. I was a renter at storage king in Stockton, California. My unit kept getting broken into. after the first time. I was instructed that they were updating their security system. well with updated security system and all. My unit still got broken into and they stole about $10000 worth of my property. Knowing that, the manager at the storage Stated that she would wave all fees. I was out before the time was up. But they still charged me a monthly fee. which was a $149 for the last month that I wasn't even there when my unit got broken into. The assistant manager noticed the 2 units next to me were also broken into and rans act. This is not a safe place to keep your possessions. I'm Very disappointed in storage king and it's tactix. the manager there is good And she could only tell me what she's being told. She's already quit once and then they asked her to come back. My storage was broken into and there is no way someone jumped over the wall. I had so much stuff in my storage they had to have had a truck. Also, my storage was in the middle of the aisle and had a lot of large items in it, so unlikely they'd be able to get everything out and over the wall. Also, they claim the cameras don't work because they were "cut" a couple moths ago but then 20 minutes later showed me footage from the cameras from the same day. They don't care at all and don't bother doing any type of report or investigation. Stay far far away from this business if you care at all about the stuff you're putting into your storage. The people there are most likely the ones behind all the break ins since you have to have a code to get in and out of the property. read more

My father-in-law had his unit broken into not once but twice on the same day. When asked about security cameras was told by the manager "they (the burglary suspects) removed the cameras" Then she said "They drilled out the camera lens" Which is it? removed or drilled out the lens. There is a classic Corvette in the unit and the suspects completely destroyed the ignition in an attempt to steal the car. I am a retired Police Officer and am very familiar with auto theft M.O's. Stockton PD was dispatched to the scene and a burglary report was generated. Also, a Field Evidence Tech was also called out to dust for latent prints. Also, there was another customer present who had his unit burglarized also. The funny thing is that my father-in-law and the other gentleman live out of town and have had storage there for over 15 years. A coincidence? We are not sure what is going on there but it's not good, My father-in-law who is extremely ill has to come up from Southern California as we have to clear out the locker for good.
