This is a fun, well maintained shopping and dining area in the pawleys island area. This was our first visit, and the area was very nice. Lots of cute shops. A couple of decent restaurants. Very pretty trees. Spot for live music at times. We enjoyed our time there.

What a fun. Over twenty shops and restaurants in a little oasis near the beach with beautiful plants and music playing in the background waits for you. The sign says it's been here since 1938. All the shops were fun to visit, browse and we found some great finds to take back to Indianapolis with us. We all had a fun time!

Beautiful outdoor shopping area that is well maintained and very pleasant walking experience. There is a variety of shops but several of the them seem to share a theme of crafty souvenirs. There are a couple eating/drinking places that we didn't get to try. Worth a visit for sure!

We were not impressed with this little shopping village. It's cute and all but the stores were pricey and mostly did not interest us. Some even had that strange flea market feel where they are trying to get rid of random stuff. The Olive store was nice and the staff was sweet and where we made our purchase. There is ample parking and rest rooms are available.

A family tradition for our family vacation. We sometimes drive and sometimes bike from Murrels Inlet. There is such a nice variety of shops from magic, candles, olive oils, shoes, wine, gifts, hammocks, candy, t-shirts, women's clothing, wine, Christmas,,and a few restaurants thrown in. There aren't many choices in restaurants here. Probably the weakest area. Location is easy to find off 17, ample parking available, chairs and a playground for those who don't want to shop. You can spend a couple of hours here easily.

Hammock Shops Village on Ocean Highway on Pawleys Island is a great collection of unique shopping locations that captures the spirit of the area and has just about everything you need for a good shopping experience. You will find stores and items here that you will find no where else and it is definitely worth checking out for anyone on your shopping list.

Ever drive from Charleston to Myrtle Beach or vice versa? Every wonder what you can do to break up the drive. If there were only something with great shopping, outdoorsy setting, good food, wine tasting, gifts, toys, candy, candles, scents, jewelry and more? Ladies and Gentleman, let me introduce you to Hammock Shop Complex. This Revolutionary style shopping village is a perfect way to spend a few hours on a cool Autumn day or warm Springtime afternoon. The complex has 15 - 20 shops including wine tasting, a great burger place, gift shops and an amazing candy shop with everything a child or adult may need. This casual village is outdoors with beautiful foliage all around. There is ample parking in the back if you do not get one of the few spots right off of 17 Northbound. This is a true Southern shopping experience. Only an hour and 10 minutes out of Charleston and 40 minutes outside of Myrtle Beach. Very close to Georgetown and Pawley's Island.

Great little shopping village in Murrells Inlet South Carolina.

Very quaint shopping Village off of Main coastal route. Many different types of shops from clothing to eateries and wine shop. Great to just leisurely walk around this village style shopping. Plenty of opportunities to sit while my wife is in the stores shopping. If you're in the area again we would probably stop in.

Parking is very limited, but if you circle around the complex a bit, someone will pull out and you can find a spot. There are a lot of very different stores in this open complex - clothes, jewelry, Pawley Island T-Shirts, accessories, shoes and a candy store to name a few; there is even an open restaurant to grab some food. I attended an Island Fest at this Complex, but it seemed to be geared more towards kids. However, it was still nice to check out the different stores and see what they had to offer.

Worth the trip from Mt. Pleasant

Second time around. Some of the stores are gone and replaced but bisquit is still open. A good place to kill time.

A very longstanding mainstay of any PI vacation is a trip to the Hammock Shop and the surrounding "village". Always clean and friendly.

Very cute community of shops. Reminds me of an old summer home camping community. I could live here.

Tucked away on the side of Hwy 17 Bypass South, is an incredible little shop, full of treasures…read more I happened upon this little shop after visiting Lee's Farm Market one day last year and spent an hour just browsing the eclectic assortment of local art, antique furniture and imported pottery and metal art. The prices were the best I have found for Talavera Pottery and the metal artwork is top notch. The unique and hard to find nautical items I look for are everywhere in the shop. I have several pieces of the antique furniture in my home that were restored by the owner and other artisans from the area. If you're looking for great quality items at a very fair price, Artisan's Gallery is a place you need to Include on your list here at the Beach. The owner, Phillip, goes out of his way to serve his customers and even keeps a book of what you are looking for. When he finds it, he'll call you and even deliver larger pieces. Shopping here is an adventure and the inventory changes daily. I love stopping in to see what's new and usually end up taking home another treasure. Stop in and tell Phillip that Mac sent you.
