The Lodge itself was very clean, has a relaxed atmosphere, quaint décor, and comfortable beds! Coffee 24/7 in the lobby and a grab-and-go breakfast in the morning is complimentary with the stay. The staff (Sherry and Denise) were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I want to share a brief story my wife and I had to illustrate the above and beyond service we experienced. We were checking out Sunday morning and I went to get the car to load up our luggage. When I parked under the entryway canopy I noticed oil pouring out from under the car. I immediately moved it to a parking space. Went inside to let the Manager know the mess made with the oil leak in the drive. Denise went above and beyond her duties by not only having staff clean up my mess in the drive, she called a friend of hers (an off-duty mechanic) and asked if he would be willing to come and see if he could diagnosis and repair my vehicle (on a Sunday morning). He did exactly that, jacked my car up in the parking lot (in 30 degree weather), diagnosed the problem, then drove me into Dadeville for parts, returned and got me on the road! Denise was also kind enough to give us a late check-out at no extra charge! All of these kind gestures saved us another nights hotel stay (and another night boarding our dogs), and kept us from having to tow the vehicle to Auburn to get it fixed on Monday. We are extremely blessed and grateful for the experience, and for staying at Creekside Lodge! We will definitely be staying there in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to the area! Thanks again Sherry and Denise!

We've always been very pleased with every aspect of our stay. Sherry and Lisa are very personable and always responsive to our needs. This is our first stay since the Lodge has changed ownership. We love the facelift they gave it! It looks beautiful! I would leave 5-star review based on our past experiences; however, the new owner made a decision to have the "Continental" breakfast items removed from the lobby as well as the Keurig machine. We rarely ate any of the food items, but we used the coffee pot EVERY morning. My husband gets up very early to read his Bible in the lobby and enjoys a cup of coffee without having to trek across the parking lot to buy a $7 cup of black coffee. There are still small coffee pots in each of the rooms, but let's be real - does anybody ever really use those? We don't. I love that there is a coffee shop on the premises and will support it, mostly for a specialty coffee in the afternoon. But for the price we pay for the rooms, the least the owners could do is provide free coffee in the mornings. I would love to know his reasoning behind this and respectfully request that he reconsider this decision.

She told me to come right over and allowed me to checkout their rooms before booking. Immediately, just from the lobby/ I could tell this hotel was 1000x nicer and cleaner. The hotel itself is a bit older (some peeling paint/wall paper) in the room, but it was clean, the furniture was in good condition and the linens looked fresh. It was such a relief. Very thankful for the kindness and professionalism of the staff here. They were willing to help me out of a nightmare. I did not end up staying here after all, as I had another opportunity- but I absolutely would have.

The shower had very very low water pressure partly due part of the shower head was clogged with paint. There was moldy ice cream left in the refrigerator. When I went to make my complain't at the front desk window, she told me there wasn't anything she could do but asked to take pictures of the pictures I took to shower her house keeper, but then tried to make it out like I was lying because of the time it said I took my picture on my phone?? Totally rude and made me uncomfortable knowing that she was trying to turn it around on me to make me out to be a liar! I MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend The Jackson's Trace motel in Sylacauga Al! Not to mention the locks on multiple rooms didn't even lock according to another lady, who had a toddler, who paid for a room as well! She literally went to her bathroom for a split second and her toddler ran out to the parking lot because their door didnt have a lock on it! It's most DEFINITELY over priced to stay there no doubt! so here I am out of $75 because the folks running the motel obviously doesn't know how to run the motel. Im posting this because this is a true event i had to experience and deal with and I hope nobody else has to experience that awful nasty stay. They also tell you that you cannot have any company there either, which yes, i can understand to an extent on some levels, but they literally watch your room from their cameras to see if anyone has any company coming by or not. if they were worried about THEIR JOB and CLEANING duties rather than who you have coming to your room then they might not have as many bad reviews or complaints. Only good thing I can say is their pet fee is only $5, but the $5 pet fee has got to be in cash...? Anyway, I didn't want to post such a negative review but I felt like I had to speak on it. This was supposed to be a beautiful, joyful weekend celebrating my cousin's wedding in Alexander City, Alabama. Family members traveled from all over, some driving over ten hours, others flying in, just to be there. The property itself was absolutely stunning, but the owners' behavior completely ruined any chance of it being the special and happy weekend it was meant to be. From the moment we arrived, the woman who owns the bed and breakfast was immediately rude, condescending, and unwelcoming, an attitude that carried throughout the entire weekend. She spoke to guests like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. During the rehearsal, both owners micromanaged everything, constantly interrupting, yelling, and talking down to the bridal party as if it were their wedding. We were all there to celebrate and help, but their behavior made everyone uncomfortable . It didn't stop there. At one point, my sister's two children were playing a game on their Nintendo Switch in the living room. The woman actually went over and scolded my nephew, telling him to give his brother a turn because she was "tired of hearing him scream." Then, unbelievably, she came back with a TIMER and told the kids they had to take turns. Who in their right mind disciplines guests' children like that? The entire family was shocked that she thought that kind of overstepping was acceptable. Another disturbing moment was when my three-year-old daughter needed to use the restroom. She ran up the steps toward the bathroom we had just used an hour earlier, and before she could even get inside, the same woman stopped her and said, "No, no, no, you need to turn around and go back to your adult." The woman clearly didn't know I was walking around the corner and overheard this. My child was about to have an accident, and this woman was more concerned with controlling people than being kind or accommodating. It was truly unbelievable. To make matters worse, the male owner MOVED MY CAR without permission, claiming it was for parking purposes, yet by the end of the night, the space was empty. They THREW AWAY over $500 worth of catering that the family had paid for, simply because they "didn't want it sitting out." Their controlling attitude and lack of respect were beyond anything I've ever experienced. And the final straw? During the reception, the female owner snatched a microphone out of a guest's hand mid-song, claiming "we don't do karaoke here," despite the fact that karaoke had been going on for hours with the bride and groom's full permission. When confronted, she and her husband escalated the situation and actually had a member of the family kicked out of the wedding The rest of us left in protest. It was heartbreaking to see such an important day end in chaos because of two people who should never be in the hospitality business. This venue is physically beautiful, but beauty means nothing when it's run by people who treat guests so poorly. The owners are controlling, unprofessional, and completely out of touch with how to treat others. They ruined what should have been one of the happiest days of our family's life, and that's something we'll never forget. If you're considering booking your wedding or event here, please don't. No matter how pretty the pictures look, the experience behind them is anything but. You deserve better than to have your once-in-a-lifetime day destroyed by people like this.
