I have someone on a manlift right outside my window, drilling into the building, waking us up and unfortunately, our flight was delayed and we didn't get to the hotel to almost 4 AM. The next night there was a note in the elevator stating they would turn off the water at 11:30 PM for four hours. At 10:30 I go to take a shower and I had the water running for 20 minutes and it never warmed up and at 10:50 40 minutes early they shut the water off. After they finally turned the water back on it took another 15 minutes before the water was warm enough to take a shower. The staff was nice enough to move us into a bigger room after our noise complete. I'm sure after the construction is over this place will probably be pretty decent. But if you're going to have this type of situation for the people that are staying at your hotel, maybe give him a discount for that timeframe. The construction is going on or better yet give them a heads up so we can book a different hotel.

It was a little bit over 10 minutes to downtown Carmel and about 8 minutes for food options and a Meijer. No breakfast, but the attached Element does have breakfast included. You won't find any closets in the room but what you will find is Gavin and Stevie at the font being as genuine and kind as can be. They are a great resource for eats and recommendations. Please be sure to interact with them. One of the hidden thinga about a Tru are the whiteboards by the elevators. There are a lot of 'insider information' located there so don't skip out. I've enjoyed by stay here, its a little off the beaten path as everything downtown is a 10 min walk north. If that's okay for you depending the weather, then the Tru is as good as it gets. If you want you want to be in the middle of everything, then you're better off choosing another property.

The room is quite small and very simple. The staff is friendly and a simple hot breakfast is available. They have a small wine station where you can pour yourself a glass and have it charged to your room. It has a fitness room and nice sitting areas through the lobby. There is even a pool table in the lobby. Two issues for me: One, the rooms do not provide coffee makers. I love a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and I don't care to go down to the lobby to get it. Also, I could not use Express Checkout on my phone. I had to go to the front desk to check out. I asked the attendant about the error messages I kept getting on my phone, and he said rooms booked with points sometimes do not allow express checkout. Overall, an ok stay for one night.
