This hotel is centrally located to stores and restaurants. The negative is the following: only one treadmill, no tissues in room or alarm clock . Breakfast was good with a variety of selections , but not as many as I normally get at a Fairfield Inn. Could be because there is not a lot of people staying here. It's perfectly cromulent. Breakfast is free, but very low quality. Hallways smell like pool chemicals. All the doors are locked, except the front door. Elevator is dog slow. Rooms are great, though, enormous and up-to-date. Staff are also really friendly. Close to lots of bars and restaurants, unfortunately, all of them are very generic chain places... and some of the bars even allow smoking, which I didn't even know was a thing anymore. We ended up staying here because it was a Marriott property and everything else was booked, we figured it would be good because it was close to the airport. It's not really *that* close to the airport, and it's a real haul from downtown. read more

We stayed here December 5-7 and had a really nice king suite. The young women working the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful to us. They went above and beyond to accommodate us when we sought advice on local eating establishments and provided places and plasticware when we decided to order in. They also provided bottles of water after what had been a physically and emotionally exhausting day. Well done, ladies and thank you! read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. This hotel is dated and smelly. I am a Marriott Titanium Elite member. During check-in as the desk clerk is handing me my room keys, he casually says "oh yeah, our elevator is not working right now. We're waiting on the state to come and inspect it." WTF?!! My room was on the 3rd floor. I asked for a different room and/or the upgrade I'm entitled per my status. He was unable to accommodate me. My room smelled awful as did the hallways. This hotel has plastic sheeting hanging everywhere. Poorly lit hallways. Nasty old carpet. There are much nicer Marriott hotels in the area. Do yourself a favor and pass this one up. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

I stayed here for 6- nights last week for The US Nationals at Lucas oil Raceway. Everything went really well , rooms were clean, plenty of parking, great location, fast food, restaurants near by including Costco & Walmart. Ashley that works the front desk, I mentioned that i always miss the cookies they put out in the early evening, Guess what the next evening I entered my room , nice & clean and cookies there with a sweet note . If I could give this hotel zero stars I most certainly would. We booked this hotel for my family for the Thanksgiving weekend/my mom's birthday. After checking in on Wednesday, we laid down around 1am (Thursday morning) and were frighteningly awaken when my aunt awoke in a panic. She was being bitten by bed bugs! The front desk staff offered to switch us rooms, which we politely declined and then informed us they were voiding the stay. The manager on duty told us we would have our money back in the account by Friday morning. This was perfect seeing as though we needed to book at a different hotel. Apparently, this was incorrect information and we've received multiple different answers from various individuals throughout the hotel staff and Marriott headquarters. With one final attempt and the last account we received from Marriott, we had the manager on duty who goes by the name of "Grace" on three way with the bank. She became flustered, got rude, loud, and hung up on us. Overall, left a horrible taste in my family's mouth. And while this doesn't cancel everything we're thankful for, it did put a damper on the holiday weekend. read more

Horrible experience! Avoid this hotel at all costs. Extremely poor customer service. The clerk at check-in was extremely rude and sarcastic. He quoted one price for the room and then refused to honor it. The hallways reeked of smoke. The room smelled musty. The morning breakfast area is poorly maintained. Ham dried out and burnt. No forks were available. No one was available to assist.  No one was available at check out. As a loyal Marriott customer, I will never stay here again. read more

My stay was very nice, starting with the staff greeting me as soon as I came in the door. The employees at the front desk were fast and asked if I had any questions and I did and they had an answer right away. My room was a nice size, very clean, I was able to get work done, and relax in the room. I felt like I was at home. The pool was nice to get into after a long day. Nice workout area, and the breakfasts as good and healthy. The maid was in the hall when I was coming back into my room, and asked if I needed anything. The manager was there in the morning when I checked out and asked how my stay was, I thought that was very nice he was very friendly, and said to come back to relax sometime soon. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. We stayed there as a wedding party. They did they not put all of our rooms on the same floor, and then continued to tell us that we were getting complaints, which if you ask me is their own fault for spreading us all out over several floors.... Then at 8:15 am I was woken up by "housekeeping" who knocked and then opened my door waking us up. 8:15!!!!! Ridiculous!! So apparently you should only stay at this hotel if you're in bed by 9 up by 7. It also took us WEEKS to get anyone to call us back to even book the rooms. Awful experience..... read more

My family and I took a weekend trip for a concert and to visit the zoo in Indianapolis. This hotel was very friendly and clean. All of the staff that we interacted with was nice and pleasant. The room had plenty of space for all three of us and the amenities were spot on. Very nice pool area with a door to a patio that you can relax on. They even made fresh cookies and had them out for the guests. My son loved those. It was in a great location with many things all around. Highly recommend and will stay here again. read more

Wow! I cannot begin to say enough about our experience with Fairfield Inn and Suites. Jared, the manager, was more than helpful via email while planning our conference from a far. Mike answered a lot of questions about the area and super helpful during the check in process. Gary was absolutely wonderful and helped us above and beyond. We really appreciated the clean rooms, comfy beds and cheerful attitudes. Not to mention, the area is safe, restaurants are plenty, and the airport is close by! I would recommend this to anyone! It's a nice & clean hotel with friendly staff. Things I didn't like about this hotel: their beds are like rocks- very very hard & their water sucks- it takes forever for soap to get off of your body (I've stayed here few times due to its proximity to my work, water is the same all these times). - it also needs more equipment in its workout room (like a stationary bike) - their breakfast is mediocre, guess sometimes it sits there for a while so their cheese omelet, sausage patties etc gets dry/hard. read more

Not sure how it happened but my wife and I spent several days calling / confirming that our son and college roommates could stay at the Fairfleid AT the IND airport and get the FREE shuttle very early in the morning, leaving their car at the hotel for $5 / day rather than the $9 / day at the airport. Working from the Marriott website, I was calling the phone number on the page for the Fairfield IND airport to confirm the details about the number of people, the shuttle schedule, etc.(after searching for hotels near IND airport on the Marriott website). Everything seemed good, and the staff there was GREAT!. Our son called last night as he's checking in (at Avon property as it turns out), saying the hotel says they have $35 limo rides to the airport and with 4 people, they'd need 2 limos (all 4 of them got there in 1 Honda Civic), and it's about 1/2 hour away from the airport (according to google maps and bing maps). Looking at the Marriott website, it says this property in Avon is 4.9 miles from the airport, but in reality, driving there it's 25 minutes and 16 road miles Calling the Fairfleid we had been calling / wanted him to stay at (AT the airport), they say this is something they've heard before - people wind up in Avon when they wanted to be at the airport location. It's not a rare situation. This wound up costing the guys time in a longer drive to the airport / less sleep, more money to have to pay for parking at the airport and a bunch of frustration. Not sure really who's to blame - Me? - I did the booking on the Marriott website, but I know I started looking for hotels nearest the airport and I was calling the phone number for the IND Fairfield property on the property specific page. The Marriott website? Were we pre-walked and someone didn't tell us? The airport Fairfield staff confirmed they had the 2 queen rooms we wanted. But being long time Marriott customers and shareholders, we were using miles and had to book through the Marriott website. The website saying that the Avon location is 4.9 miles from the airport is simply wrong. The Avon location? I've been calling them to speak to a manager and just heard from the housekeeping manager who brushed off the situation and said I could call corporate. Again, the staff at the AIRPORT Fairfield confirms this is not an all that unique situation to them - people intending to stay at their location / at the airport but wind up booked at Avon. Something in the Marritiott website could likely be tweaked to make sure when you start your search for the Fairfleld nearest the airport, they don't show a hotel that's almost 1/2 hour away. When our kids or us need a hotel near the airport, we'll be sure to book at the Fairfield AT the airport and quadruple check that the address is 5220 West Southern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46241. Because they were great through all this. read more

Bug infested motel. There are these 2 inch centipedes in my room. I called the hotel front desk three times and no one picked up to try to switch rooms. It was only 10:30 by the way. So dirty and disgusting. Won't sleep a wink tonight for fear one of these disgusting pests will crawl on me. Dirty, disgusting, and no service. Stay away! read more
