This Hampton was a great one on the Hampton spectrum. Very clean, well maintained, friendly staff and room was very comfortable. Breakfast was the usual with lots of options, they had the bagged breakfast option easy to grab/go and the coffee station was fully checked at all time is the day. It was a nice surprise to see juice and cookies out in the afternoons as well. We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding and this property exceeded my expectations! My dad and I stayed here for 3 nights for a trip and were not disappointed. The first day they had a cookie table in the front lobby which was awesome, they had sugar, chocolate, and double chocolate cookies. Every day they had a hot chocolate and coffee table set up with hot water and everything you would want from marshmallows to whipped cream. The breakfest had plenty of options and wasn't my favorite but definitely worked. The room did have a red stain on the carpet that looked like maybe some red wine. The tv did have lots of options and was easy to use. The beds were mostly comfortable, nothing super good but not uncomfortable. Overall would definitely come back. read more

I checked into the hotel Thursday evening. The staff were welcoming but I was just tired after a long day. I was greet and assigned a room . The front desk ask me how often I want housekeeping, I told them daily . The hotel had a privacy and housekeeping button at the front door . The next day I left the hotel at 9am and didn't come back till 3pm my room was not made and I didn't have fresh towels. I flagged down housekeeping and told them I wanted towels , 4 of each size and he had them bright directly to my room . The wait was about 5 minutes or less Breakfast is serve daily and the only real is the bacon and fruits . Everything is frozen and hydrated with water. I like the two different waffle batter, they had regular and strawberry. Im on the third floor there is an ice machine and laundry in the same floor . Just one washer and dryer $2 bucks each. First I inserted the quarters and the machine didn't take it and then I shook and hit it and finally it took it, but it ripped me off . It ate my quarters . The wash takes 25 minutes and dryer 45 minutes, I stayed and waited till it was done. The washing machine was very loud , I had on earphones and I can hear the noise. The dryer left lints residue even though I empty the lints trap before I used it You are better going to the laundromat. It not fair from this hotel , it is near dollar tree. I went to the fitness room, it is very tiny, not much and a bit claustrophobic. There are clean town station and a wiping station . One of the treadmills is broken. I saw the pool, it is indoor but the water is all green and murky I stayed at this hotel for a little over a month . I was able to grabbed extra cups and plastic ware to used for meal prep. Major issue was Lobby smelled like a backed up sewer - gross. Room on the 2nd floor didn't have the same smell so decided to keep the reservation. AC and heat went on and off all night so either cold or hot. Thermostat adjustment made no difference. Seemed clean but very dark so unable to detect. Needs charging/plug on 2nd nightstand. Had to get behind nightstand to plug in cpap machine. Bathroom was adequate size and water pressure was good. Nice fluffy towels. Rudy's restaurant next door so continual traffic plus adjacent to the highway - Earplugs needed., Didn't even consider any breakfast after nasty sewer smell previous night. Odor wasn't as permeating but couldn't detect a coffee smell which is normally what we've experienced at other Hampton Inn locations. Will not return. read more

We chose this hotel for location, pool, and the Hilton name. We stayed here 4 nights in town for a wedding, rehearsal,etc. Friday we finally got a chance to go to the pool. We could hear kids laughing and playing earlier in the morning. There was a note on door. Hot tub closed. Well the drinking fountain was covered with a garbage bag and the pool was disgusting. See pictures. I am really shocked nobody got sick from it. I immediately told front desk. The man said nothing. I walked away. The free breakfast was ok for free. Again not up to Hilton standards. Actually the oatmeal was good. The sink in the room was cracked, a piece or chunk missing from coffee station and dirt behind bathroom door. I would never stay here again. read more

Stayed here in the past and had a great stay, but his time was not good. The first and second floor smelled to sewer and the suite we rented was so noisy. 2nd floor and I just kept hearing the person above us walking back and forth. The floor in our room creaked so loud. It was horrible, but the staff moved us to a top floor room that wasn't a suite, but at least it was quiet. Both rooms were very clean. read more

Far and away the best Hampton Inn and Suites I've stayed at. I'm a frequent business traveler so I stay in a lot of hotels. My company prefers that we stay in Hilton properties so the Hampton is a good choice for me, and I'm a Hilton Honors member. This trip was my second in 3 weeks to the same hotel. The first stay of 5 nights was uneventful and as enjoyable as business travel can be. This last stay I had a strange noise in the room that was hard to locate, but once the persnickety refrigerator was identified, the on staff manager had it resolved within minutes. Now, let's talk front desk personnel. All of the employees that I interacted with were very good and what I've come to expect from the Hampton properties, but one stood head and shoulders above the others. Holly was EXTREMELY helpful, very courteous, and quite understanding about my issue with the noise from the refrigerator. I also observed her dealing with other customers and she was spectacular with them as well. Managers, keep this young lady in mind for a promotion when it's time, she has the CS and attitude that is demanded when working the front desk of a busy hotel. read more

Solid Hampton experience. Location is right off the freeway (without the noise) and next to Rudy's! If you're not a Texan, Rudy's is the best chain BBQ you will ever have. Trust. Rudy's also has a tiny convenience store inside, but there is an odd wall between the hotel and Rudy's that you have to go around to reach it. Getting to the Hampton from I-10 eastbound is easy; it's on the feeder. Getting to it Westbound involves turning into the Holiday Inn parking lot behind Rudy's. There's no signage to this effect. Service is good, but not anything super special. The rooms use RFID cards, so instead of sticking your card in the door, you just hold it up to the reader and the door unlocks. Shower was great. Wifi was slow but adequate. Bed was comfy. :-) read more

I was driving back to San Francisco from Houston and decided to do that crazy long drive again. El Paso seemed like a nice halfway point to take a break and rest. I've never stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites before and decided to take a chance on it after reading the reviews on Yelp and other various hotel rating sites. Anyway arrived here early morning around 1AM and was nice to be greeted by a friendly person at the front desk after driving so many miles. Finally had the keys to the room within minutes and the room was nice and clean. Also had a microwave and mini-fridge too. Not bad for the price I paid for one night. Their free continental breakfast was actually good compared to other hotels I've been too. I mean it's not going to be 4 star gourmet chef cooking, but you can't complain when it's free. read more

This is THE best Hampton Inn that I've ever stayed... and like Adam P., I also stay in a lot of properties. (And more specifically, a lot of Hampton Inn properties....) I had a very late arrival (around midnight) due to the late flight that I took. But the front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. There are 4 floors to this property. Mine was on the 3rd. The key card that they give you is a "Saflok" card. So it's the kind that you just wave over a a little disc thingy to unlock. Upon entering I saw the upgraded light switches and the Privacy and Clean room buttons. Nice!! (Man, this isn't typical for Hampton's... more like 5 * properties have those buttons...) But then I stepped a little bit more into my spacious room... yes, very spacious... and I found the extremely comfortable bed, a nice sofa and coffee table, comfortable & roomy desk area, and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was nice and spacious as well! Nice large shower area, no bathtub -- which is a-okay with me! Granite countertop... nice Kohler sink. Then downstairs for breakfast. Gorgeous open area for eating with large vaulted ceilings. For complimentary breakfast, the food was actually very good! They had this "bagel topper" item... which was pretty tasty with egg, cheese, and I think sausage. Oh, and I was happy to see at breakfast the plates and utencils are all tater-ware, 100% biodegradable -- just like the kind at my local Whole Foods in PHX. Nice touch Hampton Inn.... :) Always complimentary coffee (I think 24/7).... and complimentary WiFi. This property has to be pretty new... everything looks great. Great decor! The only thing..... is that this is pretty much on the far West side of town. It's kind of a drive to other parts of town. It is right off the 10 Interstate; so if you're road tripping on the 10 through El Paso, I would definitely stay here! BTW, the photos on the Hampton website do not do this place justice!! read more

Very good servicre. I called same-day and booked a room (using my Hilton points) and we were immediately accommodated. We got exactly the room we asked for and when we requested early arrival (early check-in) they were so helpful that she got her housecleaning staff to get our room ready before it needed to be. That is great service! I did note that on Sat morning (very early, like 4am), the staff guy was quite rude and seemed very annoyed with the 20 or so guests who were awake that early and wanting coffee (they have automated machines that have coffee all night) but had no receptacle to put their trash in (ie. mixing sticks, empty packets of sugar). When I kindly asked him if they had a bigger trash can, he said curtly to me "use the one outside" and walked away.. I was actually doing him a favor because since the little itty bitty 32oz trashcan they provided by the coffee pots was already overflowing, it was now piling up on the coffee table and I was helping clean it up.. with that attitude, he can forget my thoughtfulness and clean it up! I've stayed here multiple times over the past few months and have had pleasant experiences. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and breakfast good. I will return when/if I am in the area again. A few things to note: - The card readers on the outside doors are hit-and-miss; it's frustrating when they don't work - The bathrooms in normal rooms have showers only - The treadmills are of good quality but have a 60 minute timer limit. If you want to run longer than 60 minutes, the machine will need to be reset One last important item: Although the hotel breakfast is good, go to Rudy's across the parking lot for delicious and inexpensive breakfast tacos. Worst HOTEL EVER. We were rudely awakened by a man yelling at 7:00 am to leave the room by 9:00am. He then calls me right back to tell me to leave the hotel room now and that the cops were on their way. I then ask him why and he (Don) tells me because my dog didn't have a leash for about 15 seconds! Is this a joke ?! He tells me that he had to give free rooms away for that reason. LOL. Don charged me for 3 nights and when I confronted him he told me that it was not true. We were kicked out as if we were criminals. On top of everything they have the worst service. I had left food overnight and it spoiled because the fridge was not working. Wow, this hotel sure gets a lot of 5 Star Reviews. I would be giving this Hampton Inn 5 Stars too if I was ranking them against the rest of the Hampton Inn's that I stayed at. Compared to other Hampton Inn's, the rooms here are larger, the staff is excellent, everything seems new/clean, the hotel at night is peaceful, and their free breakfast is pretty damn good. I had my own parking spot, which is a perk for being a Diamond member. However, I didn't use it since there's plenty of parking and regular parking was closer to my room. The hotel is nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is okay. Cook your own waffles, coffees, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, scrambled eggs and a fried potato dish. During the day, the room temperature was fine. But at night, it was terribly hot and dry in our room (#414) all night, despite the air conditioner being on all the time. We even had it turned to the lowest temperature, 65 degrees, yet it was still hot and dry. Sick and dehydrated from the heat and with only 90 minutes of total sleep that night, I told the front desk about it, and I bought three Gatorades from them for myself. The lobby was just as hot and dry. However, when I went outside, the outdoor temperature was only 35 degrees at about 8:00am. Go figure. Nice hotel, but please fix that cooling issue. read more

Fantastic hotel with a great wheelchair accessible room! After traveling for 9 hours and it getting late, we needed to find a safe place to stay in El Paso (though we were trying to get past El Paso due to it being so close to Juarez.) I was *more* than pleasantly surprised with the room we got (Rm 318) and it's size! We had two queen beds with a separate living room area, a nice size refrigerator, microwave, 2 flat screen TV's, a long mirror, and nice desk, with hi-speed wifi. For the low price, I'd stay here longer if I could! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Clean, courteous, and safe. Oh! And, after talking to the maids, they have to change the duvet covers every day! That's a plus in my book! AND, they have fitted sheets! Finally, I'm not waking up in the morning sleeping on a bare mattress. This has been a great experience all around! Thank you! read more

We stopped here on our drive back to TX due to heavy traffic along I-10 E from construction, but I'm really glad we did! The rooms are clean and well-maintained -- almost seemed like a new hotel! They have scanning keycards for the room keys, instead of the usual inserting key cards. Free hotel breakfast runs from 6-10 AM, and hot items are served. They had sausage patties, cheese omelets, and french toast sticks the morning I was there, as well as make-your-own waffles & pancakes, fruit, coffee, juices, cereal, oatmeal, and breakfast pastries/bagels. As a business traveler, some things are more important to me than if I were traveling for personal reasons. This hotel had many positives, but one glaring negative. Positive attributes include: clean rooms, property in above average repair, several trash cans in each room, below average noise coming from both inside and outside hotel, and consistent water pressure and truly hot water. This property is either fairly new or completely remodeled recently. The one glaring negative for this hotel was very, very, very slow Internet speeds. For those travelers who know what latency is, latency for the Internet at this property was 2,000 at times. The fastest Internet speeds I realized during my five nights were about 500 kB (1/2 of 1 meg). With Internet speeds this slow, and latency that was extremely high, it was virtually impossible to connect to the company network using VPN tunnels and RDCs. While I understand that many guests can be accessing Wi-Fi at the same time, this is 2012, and there is no good reason why this hotel does not have sufficient bandwidth and/or backhaul to provide every guest with adequate and reliable data speeds. No reason at all. I would only consider staying at the Hampton Inn in NW El Paso again if I had strong assurances that decisive steps have been taken to address the Internet speed and latency issues. Other thoughts: If Internet speed and reliability are not important to you in the least, this is a good hotel to consider. Also, while I saw an exercise room, indoor swimming pool, business center, and know there was a breakfast in the morning, I did not use these facilities or services, so I will not offer a review of them. This is really a great hotel! We travel a lot and stay in primarily Hilton properties. Hotel staff all very polite, hotel new and extremely clean. Family of 5 stayed in a junior suite.
