When I first checked in I noticed makeup on the pillowcase. I took the case downstairs and asked for the bedding to be changed. I left and came back a few hours later. The bedding did not get changed. I asked them again and they gave me bedding to change it myself. When I took the sheet off, I saw a large urine stain on the mattress protector. So I just took that off. Then I went to wash my hands and there was no soap. I had to go back downstairs and request that as well. They did give me an extra bottle of water for my troubles though. The room was pretty run down and clearly not well cleaned. The shower curtain rod sagged in the middle so I couldn't close the shower curtain when I showered and got water everywhere. The towels were very stiff, had a bit of a smell to them and were stained. I honestly didn't want to use them. The gym was decent. 2 treadmills, 2 electrical, and a peleton. Breakfast was not so great. I had a made to order omelet but it just wasn't good. Neither was anything else I tried. I did appreciate that the mattress was a softer one instead of the firm mattresses you usually get at hotels. And the water for showers did get really hot which I love. I booked a room next to the stairwell as I prefer stairs to the elevator but the stairwell exit/entrance is on the outside with no re-entry. So you can go down them but can't go up them. I didn't get a chance to go to the daily evening reception but it looked pretty popular. All in all, this hotel needs some TLC and I would advise anyone to book accommodations elsewhere. read more

I really wanted to have a positive experience at Embassy Suites by Hilton El Paso, but unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating hotel stays I have experienced. I am here for work for a total of nine nights, and within the first five days there has been an issue nearly every single day. The problems actually began at check in. My company had already prepaid for my room, but I was initially told that my personal card would be charged for the entire nine night stay. I was then told I would personally be responsible for a deposit of more than $200. It took approximately an hour to get everything straightened out. I later learned that my company had actually been charged twice for the room and had to have one of the charges reversed. On Monday, the air conditioning in my room was not working properly. When I called the front desk, I was actually told, "It's working, it's just not working well." That was the response to an acknowledged problem with the AC. Tuesday night, the smoke detector began chirping and disrupted my sleep. Wednesday brought a much more concerning problem. I was riding the elevator to the 7th floor when it stopped at my floor, but the doors did not open. I had to press the open door button several times before they finally opened and I was able to get out. Shortly afterward, I was told that the elevator was out of service and stuck on the 7th floor. It remained that way overnight. Housekeeping also did not service my room that day. Thursday night, at around midnight, my room phone rang three separate times from the front desk. They were trying to reach Room 801. I am in Room 702. After several long workdays, being repeatedly awakened around midnight because the front desk was calling the wrong room was incredibly frustrating. Then came Friday. I woke up to no running water. I tried calling the front desk and received no answer. I contacted the hotel through the Hilton app and received no response there either. I eventually went downstairs and found a small sign at the front desk saying that the water had been shut off because of an emergency. That small sign was the only notice I personally saw anywhere in the hotel. There had been no notification to my room or through the app that I saw. One or two inconveniences during a long hotel stay are understandable. Things break. Emergencies happen. But this has been one problem after another: billing confusion and a duplicate charge, malfunctioning AC, a chirping smoke detector, missed housekeeping, an elevator malfunction while I was inside it, three unnecessary midnight phone calls, no running water, unanswered calls to the front desk, and poor communication about the water shutoff. For someone staying here for work, these aren't insignificant inconveniences. I need to be able to sleep, shower, get ready for work, and return at the end of the day to a safe and functioning hotel room. There is, however, one person who deserves tremendous recognition: Antonio, one of the housemen. Antonio has been the bright spot of this stay. I have personally watched him go above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and appreciated. He is friendly, attentive, hardworking, and genuinely seems to care about the people staying here. In a stay filled with problems, his hospitality has stood out even more. I don't want the problems with this property to take anything away from an employee who is doing an exceptional job. Antonio deserves recognition at the highest level Hilton can provide. He represents exactly the kind of hospitality I expected when staying with Hilton. He is the only reason I am giving this location 2 stars. Unfortunately, one outstanding employee cannot compensate for the number of operational, maintenance, communication, and safety issues I have experienced during this stay. At this point, with several nights of my reservation still remaining, I should not be wondering what is going to go wrong next. I sincerely hope Hilton and the management of this property take these concerns seriously, particularly the elevator and smoke detector issues, and recognize Antonio for being an exceptional representative of hospitality despite everything happening around him. read more

Yeah hand down this is a 2 star hotel. the attention to detail of the staff it either negligent or on purpose or non-existence they'll leave trash in your room, they half make your bed, no soap dishes, the microwave is under the sink, you have glasses and a sink but nothing to wash them with and they don't replace them unless you ask and you will have to report any issue you have although someone is in you room daily (my TV didn't work) and on top of all that: its paid parking?! trust the 1 and 2 star review... I can see how some might give it 3's or even 4's because the staff is polite and bar and restaurant are a plus... no way the 5's are anyone that had a long stay. read more

We have family in El Paso to stay with, but absolutely cannot pass up an opportunity to keep coming back to Embassy. This trip was sadder than most as we were dealing with second funeral this year . A huge shout out to the night (manager?) concierge Cynthia Martin, she was the nicest most sincere person, but she truly made the hotel welcoming when we got in at 3 AM. Everybody at Embassy suites is very nice, but Miss Martin truly went out of her wayto express her condolences. We had a great time at the pool and enjoy our breakfast every morning but again Cynthia Martin really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. read more

Very clean and spacious rooms. The appeal of this hotel is the fact it almost feels like a luxury apartment complex. The fact that the doors are located inside the hotel and yet it feels like your somehow outside is a beat concept. Anyways, the rooms are very clean and are comfortable enough for a family of four. You have a television in the living room area and in the bedroom area. You also get a min fridge and microwave, a small dining table and a sleeper sofa. Breakfast in the morning is great. There's a good selection that will surely get you going in the morning. This place is close to the airport so that very convenient for travelers, there's also a few convenience stores, a Walgreens, and various restaurants (iHop & a yummy taco place next to hotel) and stores in the surrounding area. This place isn't very cheap to stay in but I like the safety of it and the breakfast. I also truly enjoyed the fact that someone from reception texted my phone to check up on us and make sure everything was up to standard and they let you know to text them if you need anything during the remainder of your stay. It's very convenient. They are also part of the Hilton Family of hotels so make sure to join their rewards for deals, promotions and digital key card. CON: The AC didn't cool that well. This is an older hotel near the El Paso airport. It was clean and Dakota at the front desk was super friendly. When we arrived, there were signs on the doors indicating that the water would be shut off from 10am to 1pm. We had a funeral to attend at 2pm and this impacted our itinerary. The complementary breakfast was severely short staffed, with empty selections and no silverware to use. Not even plastic. I think it was because of lack of staff. Overall I think they are trying, but we as customers are paying for certain amenities. read more

If you want to use the pool or jazuzzi, don't think about it. This weekend is full of teens and pre teens in the pool. The front desk staff could only say that quiet hour starts at 11pm, went back to the pool area only to see more much younger kids and floaties going into the pool area after11 pm. SMH. Really nice place to stay. There was a lot of room to park my moving truck in the back. The towels were large and thick. The people at the front desk were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. My daughter got the made to order omelette and enjoyed it. There was a good Mexican place and iHop within walking distance if you were like us and did NOT want to drive anywhere. Pet friendly. My daughter's two cats were happy with all the extra space. Water pressure was strong and hot water stayed hot. I felt very safe and it was a nice experience. And I felt the room was clean. The thermostat worked well and we were cool and comfortable all night long. Only ding was that the "free" cocktail hour didn't have anything but the kind of white zin I'd drink in college with inexpensive Chinese food. No red nor white. If you don't mind paying, it was a full service bar and the bartender was polite and knew her stuff. There was a beer option but I wasn't interested in that either. read more

I reached out to hotel staff, which promised me that management would reach out to me. It has been six months and I have reached out multiple times to both the manager of the front desk and also the general manager of the hotel was zero response. I have also left reviews on other platforms with a reply that someone would get back to me, but that was also unsuccessful if this hotel thinks it's OK to have roaches, who knows if there's bedbugs, etc. The lack of professionalism is mind blowing for a hotel establishment of this caliber. read more

WOW - If this were a real Embassy, the host country would toss them out! From broken fixtures to wallpaper coming off the walls, to fridges not working, incorrect rooms, and poor to no follow up from management. Wow - I was excited to go to an Embassy versus a Hampton what a disappointment!!! Litany of FAILURES and Successes: 1. At check in - They didn't follow instructions... Whereby I stated I was coming in late and requested to have a quality room saved for me. They put me in a room between the exit and the pool... That's not quality. When I escalated they gave me the information for the hotel manager, who was supposed to be "on call"... It's now over two days later and still no response. Luckily, the young gentleman desk clerk came running out, stating he had a cancelation, and would move me to the fourth floor. 2. The bar and food - As I hit just the end of the manager's reception (made it by throwing the stuff in the room and rushing back down) I was greeted by a lovely bartender. She was welcoming personable, and made a couple of nice drinks. When I inquired about the menu... The very very limited menu was a bit of a disappointment. With that said, I enjoyed both items I ordered. This was a plus. 3. Return to the room - Broken warm fridge... I had medications, which required refrigeration, and I am unsure if they handled the heat of the fridge or not. The maintenance came in and said the fridge is now cold... never got cold... my fault for not checking earlier, but that's unacceptable. The second thing is the room was not well-maintained, broken door handles, wallpaper coming off, and the chair had stickiness / stained, even the sofa cushions were dingy. The bed was fine, and although the sink was ridiculously low, the bathroom was clean. The TV in the front room, wouldn't work on all but 13 of the stations, but the bedroom television worked well. Lastly, the room itself took forever to cool down... AC barely working. El Paso "Step" away from this hotel! Especially at nearly $200 per night. read more

I stayed here on a spur of the moment decision. When I first walked in the atmosphere seemed very welcoming. The girl at the front desk even gave me 2 free bottled water. I was placed in room 407 and thankfully it was really nice. Very clean quite and peaceful. I can not say much about the internet because I had no need for it. I did notice my room was stuffy and the ac was not working properly so I called the front desk and they quickly sent a maintenance man to fix the problem. Turned out that the water pump was turned off. Overall, I would stay again. The bed was also very comfortable and clean!! Oh and the free breakfast buffet is amazing!!!!! Long time Hilton member. Our favorite stay is always the embassy. We typically look for an embassy stay in the location that we are going to before any other Hilton property. We checked in and the staff was super friendly. We were able to swing in for the managers happy hour which we stopped and grabbed a cocktail at. Bar tender was super nice and they had a good selections of snacks. First thing that we noticed was that this place was a touch dated with a coat of paint. The lobby is nice and they seem to spend their budget on the lobby. 10/10 lobby. Rooms were run down. Our AC didn't want to work and just sent warm air into our room. We didn't notice it until late because we were just passing through and went to grab dinner. By the time we figured it out, it was too late to move all our stuff so we just sucked it up. The rooms appeared to be run through. There were beer bottles behind the couch. Just not the greatest experience that I usually get out of embassy. Overall, I don't think we will be stopping back into this one. The rooms need some updating. I get giving a face lift to the lobby but put some TLC in the rooms as well. read more

We first checked in and in the girl gave use our room card and we tried to enter our room and turns out it was someone else's room we could've walked into people changing or anything but luckily we didn't. We got it fixed to the right one but when we went into our room the bathroom smelled like urine. We lifted the shower curtains and it stunk. Very disgusting. As if someone urinated all over the curtain and no one didn't even smell it. I really wanted to like this place but found it difficult to during my stay. When you first walk into this hotel, you have such high expectations for it considering how nice it is; very modern and appealing to the eye. The employees at the desk were helpful and kind at helping us check in as diamond members, however we had some issues during our stay that were a deal breaker towards ever returning. The entirety of our stay, we didn't have hot water at all. There's the option to have room service from the restaurant to your room, so we decided to order dinner from it the first night of our stay. When we placed our order, we were told it would be up to our room shortly. We waited an hour with no word from anyone and no food delivery. We called the front desk who told us they would check on our food. 20 minutes go by and we heard nothing in return. So we called again, and the food was finally brought up. Total wait time was an hour and a half for an appetizer pizza, a sandwich, small fry, and slice of cheesecake, which could've been made easily in 15-20 minutes. Neither the pizza nor sandwich were worth the wait, and were a complete waste. The fries tasted like cardboard and had no flavor. The best thing was the cheesecake. We had breakfast from this place the following morning, which was pretty equivalent to the dinner we had the night before. All of the food was incredibly bland, but I guess since it's a free breakfast you get what you pay for. I really wanted to visit the pool- I'm pretty sure it was heated. However, during our whole stay the pool area was so crowded & busy it was impossible to. The rooms are very different than the actual style of the hotel. The hotel lobby and actual design is super modern and beautiful. But the rooms are incredibly outdated and only have dish (satellite TV). Overall, the best thing about this place is how it looks. I wouldn't recommend eating here at all either. For a one night stay I think this place is fine, but not for multiple nights or a long trip. Next time we'll definitely be going to a Marriott instead. read more

Embassy suites are nice because usually the rooms are large and separate as far as a living room and bedroom. My room set up was a little weird with the sink in the bedroom but other than that it was a standard version. The hotel lobby is actually in the Center of the hotel as it's open air. The rooms are all off of balconies that overlook the lobby. There was a restaurant that served breakfast and happy hour drinks and appetizers which were both free which is a nice touch. I didn't use the gym or the pool but there were both and they looked decent sized. Both were right in the lobby. Large parking lot here as well. read more

Never again at this location. We arrived late around midnight and the front door was locked so we had to call to have someone open the door. Check-in clerk and security guard were not welcoming, like how dare we check-in so late. We are diamond members and stay at many locations but this one needs serious changes in many areas. We were on the 7th floor. #1 Staff needs training. #2 Housekeepers need to be fired. The room was filthy. Everything was dirty, curtains, walls, baseboards, bathroom, even dead bugs on the floor... ugh. #3 Rooms need updated as they are outdated down to the worn sheets. Even the heating cooling system was not working. It was so hot in the room we couldn't sleep. #4 Road noise was unacceptable and we didn't even have a room facing the street. How can this be a Hilton property? They are in the process of remodeling but with issues with staff and housekeeping, we will not take chances staying at this location again. read more

I'm pretty hard on rating hotels, as I have worked in the business. I technically give this a 4.5 star rating and this Embassy Suites totally earned this rating! I did check in via app. I also had the electronic key option (my first time to use this option). I experienced some anxiety over planning ahead to ensure my cell stayed charged, but it worked out quite well! Had I not needed a zeroed receipt, I wouldve checked out on the app too. Talk about convenient! I enjoyed the lobby layout....comfortable, clean practical, and business oriented. I REALLY enjoyed the free breakfast (which included made to order eggs--Oscar ROCKS), and the 2 hour happy hour every evening (free drinks and snacks). Samantha (bartender) was a lot of fun, fast with service, and well liked by all. I was bummed when she had her days off, it just wasnt the same, even though the other bar tenders were great...LOL! I gave the 4.5th star because my counterpart had issues in his room with his carpet. The kind where they had to strip, connect, and restretch it. They came in, quickly handled the situation and were done! Carpet care is a weakness for many hotels, this one is not immune. There were stains on my carpet (not created by me) and I dont EVEN want to know what under the bed base looks like, but overall, it was good enough that I went barefoot, which I rarely do. read more

Everywhere I go, I try to book at an Embassy Suites. This location was VERY nice! El Paso is nothing to write home about but the Embassy Suites made my stay more enjoyable. The hotel room itself was clean and didn't have that weird hotel room smell. My coworker and I participated in the Happy Hour that is located on the first floor by the bar. The small appetizers were okay. That night, they served veggies with dip and pretzels with water. The restaurant even had great food. I ordered a Cheeseburger with no bun and the restaurant was able to accommodate me. Parking is plentiful and there is no charge for parking in their lot. I've been to other Embassy Suites where there is a small fee to park on the property. If I ever have to visit El Paso for work, I will choose to stay here. Colour pattern walls/rooms muted desert beige and feel like an Army Post. Room ceilings low. Plumbing fixtures old, noisy w/ occasional smell of sewage. The rooms sometimes smell of mildew. They have a swamp cooler A/C which keeps room temp warm and humid. I couldn't enjoy the breakfast or evening snacks b/c of my schedule. Would I stay again? Yes, but briefly. Management should consider a facelift w/ more vibrant colors, elevated ceilings, fresh new carpeting and new room furnishings ASAP. read more

I hope you enjoy cold showers. I paid around $200 to stay there while driving cross country. The hot water didn't work in the morning, and the front desk clerk was complacent when I told her on my way out. She mumbled that she'll "let them know." She said there's nothing the hotel can do to compensate me, because I booked with Expedia. Very convenient! Other than that, the room was poorly designed and awkward. The sink is lower than even a child would require, and the vanity mirror is weirdly far. My back hurts from bending down to wash my hands or lean toward the mirror. I'm not impressed. read more

Breakfast spread was sparse. There was no milk for cold cereal, no fresh fruit or fresh pastries. Omelets made to order was good. Maintenance had to switch out mini fridge as not cooling. They left the one that didn't work in the room during entire stay of 2 nights. Order food from menu. Food unedible. Cheesy fries were cold and limp. Cheese was canned cheese and tasted awful. Pepperoni Flatbread was burnt on bottom and delivered to table cold. I returned food and taken off bill. We did not eat that night. Checked out at 4:30 AM. I had to ask for receipt. It was not offered. Desk clerk was not courteous. She did not say "Thank you for staying with Embassy" or not even a simple "Thank You". Bathroom vanity in bedroom, when used was disturbing to people sleeping. Redeeming factors the bed was comfortable and good location. I will NOT return as there are many other hotels in area to choose from. read more

I absolutely love this chain but this certain facility we had a TERRIBLE experience with. Maintenance walked in on my children as they were changing after the pool. No knock. Just opened the door! It was so soon after my children walked in, that the maintenance must have watched them walk in. Creeeeepy. My daughter screamed at him to leave as he still tried to enter. No resolution from management!!!!!!!! This same stay, my AirPods were stolen off the bed. A temporary worker took them, police retrieved them. The toilet ran the entire time (5 nights!!). We are Hilton Diamond members and travel quite a bit! Driving from AZ to Florida we stopped in El Paso first. We always choose a Hilton property as moreover enjoy Embassy Suites as they are spacious. We checked in with our app and made it in time to enjoy their happy hour. Got to the room and realized that they really need a renovation. The hotel was pretty worn down. Needs a refresh, paint, carpet maybe new furniture?! After staying at Home2Suites and other properties, I can't say I'd recommend this location. They attempted to provide breakfast, lady serving was nice, but it doesn't compare to what they offered in the past. I'm sure they could have done a better job of making travelers feel more welcome. read more

Eww. After staying in 3 other Hilton properties during a cross country road trip, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the moment I walked into the lobby, I smelled that familiar "rank hotel off the side of the highway smell" - The front desk staff is subpar and very dry. Then we have the room. The moment I opened he door I knew this place is lacking in so many ways. There's faint smell of smoke, dust, and who knows what else. Thankfully I travel with candles and a diffuser. Why is the bathroom sink in the bedroom?? Who designed this place?? I realize we are about 1 mile away from the Juarez, Mexico border and perhaps that's why this place is subpar compared to the 3 other Hilton properties we a stayed in Fort Worth, Memphis and Knoxville. Hilton is rebranding and building some amazing modern, trendy and CLEAN hotels. They need to do a once over at these other proepries for the customer experience is universal at every property. read more

First problem- Quoted me $190 for a night (that was my Hilton Honors Price), When I checked in, they charged me $256. I know what the lodger's and sales tax rates are in El Paso. It will be real interesting to see the breakdown tomorrow when I check out. Just so we understand...El Paso sales tax is 8.25%, state occupancy fee is 6% and El Paso's Occupancy rate is 5% (admittedly one of the nation's highest but not high enough to charge me what I was charged). So if I add the taxes all up that comes to a whopping 19.25%. Added to the $190 I was quoted, and you get $226.58. Thus I was still overcharged around $30. Maybe it was the Pool Maintenance Fee (see #2)? Second problem- Pool closes early and opens later in morning. This was a particular problem because we drove to Target across the street to buy my son a pair of swimming trunks, as that was all he wanted to do. We got back to hotel (sun hadn't even gone down yet), he changed and we went into pool room, he jumped into pool and immediately a maintenance guy stuck his head in and yelled at him to get out of the pool because it was closed. It won't open again until mid-to-late morning after we are already on the road. Not very kid friendly pool policy. I wonder if they realize that people use the pool to relax after doing their daily activities around El Paso- not stay there in the middle of the day. It is no wonder this is the only Hilton with plenty of rooms today. Third problem- Room was real warm (A/C turned to a warm setting) upon arrival. So, I set A/C in room all the way to lowest setting. It is an hour and a half later and temperature is still a little warm. Don't know if filters needed changing or what, but room is having a very hard time getting cool. Room is a little old and some furniture has chips etc., but not too bad. All forgivable- but in desert southwest, in summer, I expect even a Motel Six to have a better functioning A/C. My only hope is that the breakfast is decent tomorrow morning before we leave. Have been a HHonors member for some time now. Have stayed in at least a dozen of these branded hotels over the past several years. This is pretty much at bottom of my experiences with an Embassy Suites. read more

They recently went through major renovation and everything was so clean. After renovation, they changed the name to Embassy suite and became a part of Hilton family. I would disregard any reviews posted here older than Feb 2016 as it was operated under different name. I recently stayed here one night and they kindly let me check in early (1pm) as my room was available. When I walked in, I thought I came to a brand new hotel. Carpet, bathroom, furniture, everything was clean and towels were so fluffy. It was so clean I thought about rolling around on the carpet, lol, I didn't but it was that clean. I asked friendly and professional front desk clerk about this hotel and that's when he told me how much they spent for renovating this hotel. I've been traveling for the past five weeks, two countries and 7 states, staying at different hotels. When I walked in to my room here, it was such a pleasant surprise, I happily checked in on Yelp shortly after I checked in at this hotel (I normally check in at checkout time). Great location, professional staff, very clean room, I would come back again at my next visit to El Paso. read more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting family after securing a great rate via Priceline. We were both very impressed by the convenient location, spacious rooms, beautiful atrium, and the simple, but welcome perks (complimentary happy hour & breakfast). I'll get the few negatives out of the way first. The El Paso Suites is not what I'd call luxury lodging. The technology in our room was a decade old or so and it's not a place where you go to be seen. (remember you're in El Paso, not Scottsdale) What it is, however, is a fantastic property for the price and more. Here's my breakdown: LOCATION -- easy on/off freeway access with shopping/restaurants/gas stations a very short drive away...it's basically just off the frontage road of the interstate, so you'll be driving most everywhere you go, not taking romantic strolls LOBBY/EXTERIOR/ETC. -- The beautiful atrium is the star of the property...very impressive, especially for a hotel of this value...though a bit old school, all the public areas we saw were spotless with tasteful decor ROOMS -- This is a full-size suite with two big rooms in each room...the TVs were circa 1995 and the view was of another motel parking lot (from our second floor location), but the beds were comfy, bathroom was clean and efficient, and, again, there was plenty of room to stretch out. POOL/GYM -- Too bad this isn't an outdoor pool as it might be a bit more appealing to soak in some El Paso sun...it's an indoor pool usually occupied by kids though, so we chose to skip it...the gym was small and a little warm, but we put the cardio and weight equipment to good use and were very satisfied. PERKS -- TWO free drinks per person per day is their complimentary happy hour...yeah, it's Franzia box wine or Miller Light, but if you don't mind a blue collar beverage in a blue collar city, then it's a very nice touch...the free breakfast was surprisingly good...not just a stale continental breakfast, the eggs were cooked to order, salsa was excellent, and the lighter fare (yogurt, fruit, etc.) was well maintained also. STAFF -- Everyone we interacted with was friendly and we saw constant attention to keeping the public areas clean and tidy. We will certainly look to stay here again during our next visit! read more

Best in town hands down! Awesome lobby with easy access to the bar and breakfast dining area. Centralized in Rl Paso, you have easy access to the main interstate highway. Nice clean rooms. Called for an extra pillow and blankets and had them at my door within 15 minutes. I'll be back when in El Paso! read more
