Hotel was a little older. AC did work very well though. Had a microwave. Room was big. Bathroom was a little older. There's a small gym and a laundry mat. Bed was pretty worn out, there was a huge dip on the left side. My coworker didn't have a shower curtain. Lol. The pool was closed for some maintenance. Stayed for 2 nights for a work conference. Staff was very night. Smaller room. Breakfast was good. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits to make a breakfast sandwich and a waffle maker! Lots of seating in breakfast area. This is my second stay at this Hilton property, and I can honestly say it's a very nice place. The ladies at the front desk are always pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, my key did not work when I arrived, but they quickly took my information and provided me with a new key. My room was clean and comfortable, and the shower was the best ever. While the hotel could use some upgrades, it is well-maintained and clean. The hotel accepts dogs, which was a relief for my allergies since I did not sneeze or see any dog hair or fur anywhere. One downside is the parking lot, which is quite dark, especially if you have to park away from the front door. Be careful!! Overall, the hotel is great, and I enjoyed my stay. read more

Came in off the road with an Expedia reservation. Check in was easy and king room was reasonable. Christmas decor was very festive. Front desk person recommended a restaurant nearby. Only complaints were that conditioner bottle in shower was empty, we could have used a couple more towels and banquet seating in breakfast bar was worn and torn. I booked this place accidentally (I meant to book rock hill, much nicer and safer location). hotel is old. Busted bedside light. Out of coffee at 8:30 am and it took 20 minutes to make more. Most notably, the front desk is incompetent. My son was arriving late so I listed him as an additional guest. I had to write his name on a piece of paper which was then stuck to a key card sitting on the desk because "third shift doesn't know how to access the system". When I realized a few hours later I had booked the wrong place, I called and they refused to make an exception to their cancellation policy. They charge the full night. No other industry gets away with this ( I can cancel a flight for credit up to 10 minutes before departure). I have travellled extensively and often with Hilton. Their customer service and quality have deteriorated. Hilton needs to get a grip on their franchise, bad owners are eroding their brand. read more

We have been displaced due to Hurricane Helen and booked 2 rooms here at Hampton Inn. When we arrived the pricing at the front desk was higher than what we booked online. Then our room was dirty with no soap in the shower to bathe with. We booked for 2 nights and returned tonight to once again find no soap nor clean towels, our room was not cleaned. When I called front desk she asked me to come down to pick up all items of which should have already been brought to our room. We are paying a higher rate for this suite not for it to be dirty and for us to retrieve items that should have been in our room already. read more

Arrived at the hotel at @2:05 pm on Friday June 28th, after a long drive. The desk clerk informed me that the room was ready but check in time was 3:00 pm, and there was a 25.00 "early check in fee". Absolutely not! We had to hang around in the lobby with our luggage, or pay the 25.00. At @ 2:35 pm, they deigned to let us check in without the fee. I guess they got tired of us hanging around. I am 66 years old and have never heard of such a fee. I called the parent company Hilton, and they said it is up to the GM. In other words, they were OK with it. Be aware. The GM and Hilton are good with Chicken S**t fees. I have stayed here before, but never again. If possible, I will avoid Hilton properties altogether. read more

Requested room cleaning from the tall guy at the desk this morning. He said he'd see if they could "get around to it for me". Wasn't done of course. Hilton is a classic case of corporate greed since Covid. The employ morons like this at likely very low salaries and clean rooms every other day "for the protection of the customer and environment". Great hotel and awesome staff!! We checked out yesterday. Let me start this my by saying we originally booked at another hotel in the area but changed to Hampton Inn due to the good reviews it received and because my family had an allergy to animals and this hotel does not allow pets. I have to say all the good reviews are well earned! As soon as we walked into the lobby Gerald and another gentleman at the front desk greeted us with a smile, handshake and a warm welcome. Our room was immaculate and clean in places that other hotels sometimes miss! There were ample towels and complimentary Neutrogena soaps. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which included rotating omelettes, meats, 2 waffle irons, variety of oatmeal's, bagels, bread, cereal and apples. The very nice woman Kim who ran the breakfast area was so warm and friendly, and she was constantly refilling the food, wiping down the tables and checking if everything was ok! The whole food area was spotless and her level of attention was hands down some of the best I have ever seen. The coffee was delicious. The other areas of the hotel were also very clean and well kept as well. The outside patio pool area had seating and it was clean and perfect to sit and watch the kids while they were in the pool. There is a good amount of parking and some reviews complained the hotel is hidden away behind the Lowe's, I think it's a benefit because there is no highway noise and it's quiet. Also, there are a bunch of small food places to eat very close by and it's an especially short ride to the Kingsly pavilion with many food choices and areas to sit by the small lake. We went to Carowinds and it was a very short ride too, maybe 12 min. The beds were very comfortable and whenever I passed through the lobby they would ask if we needed anything. One night we came back and Gerald at the front desk made his way from behind the desk to welcome us back! We loved our stay here and we would definitely stay here again when we come to the area. read more

This stay was no different...just great in every sense. The I got a double queen and the bed is so comfortable. It's a great size and the bathroom is nice and big. Stayed 1 night on business...it's a brand-new Hampton, with new room design that has a lot of fake wood flooring and cleaner lines on the furniture. I like it. The bathroom door never. Closed completely in our room. It was two to three inches open all the time. When pressed the manager said that the contractors had messed up on one group of rooms. So the rooms with malfunctioning doors are still being sold. They refused to refund our stay. They only gave us one night free. We stayed in room 209 and were offered room 309 which had the same problem. I had also asked for a mobility accessible room. I was give a deaf accessible room. If you have a physical disability, I do not recommend this hotel at all. As the doors to the rooms are extremely heavy, and they are completely oblivious to what accessibility means. The one bright spot was housekeeping. They kind and went out of their way to make our room look nice. read more

BED BUG ALERT. Stayed here in October for business and woke up with~25 bed bug bites. Hotel mgmt was helpful in identifying and finding the bed bugs in head board but not so helpful or willing to replace items I left behind. I had flight to catch and was not willing to risk transporting anything to other passengers or my home. When I contacted them for reimbursement the manager was not so helpful a f suggested comping my stay and as one extra Hilton points was adequate. Do not stay here. This is a very nice, new Hampton Inn. My room was super clean and had the most comfortable bed and pillows! I slept like a baby. There are plenty of options for food nearby, a Starbucks a 1/2 mile away and easy access to the highway. The only negative for me (a female business traveler) was the shower. It looked nice and was clean...it even had a foot rest thing near the bottom of the shower to make it easier to shave your legs. The problem was the shower head wasn't movable (only adjustable for spray type), so I had to turn off the water in order to shave or the stream would just wash away all my shave gel. Doesn't seem so hard to turn the water off, but then you can't rinse your razor mid-shave and you also get hit with that initial blast of cold water because, again, you can't turn the shower head away from directly spraying you. Thankfully the water pressure was good, though. That was a mouthful, I know. I'd stay here again if in the area, but I'd probably bring pants instead of a skirt next time. read more

Stayed here for a three day business trip and it was a pretty comfortable stay. The actual hotel is located by a strip mall, 30 minutes from Charlotte, and next door to a Lowe's. The front desk was friendly and they have things such as a "to go breakfast" filled with portable goodies and a water bottle that I found to be super considerate as I was constantly in a rush to make my trainings and meetings. The room itself had a desk, an end table, a sofa, and a huge bed. I also liked the vanity area outside the actual bathroom which was well lit and gave me plenty of space to get ready in the morning. The actual room has all the necessities, a microwave, a fridge, a tv with a hefty amount of channels. The only thing I wish this room had was a bath tub as I enjoy dipping in my feet after a long day of work. I would definitely stay here again for a short trip. I felt like it was conveniently located and I was able to enjoy a lot of what Charlotte had to offer while staying here. read more

HOLY COW!! This hotel has only been open for five weeks and if you are in the Charlotte NC area I would highly recommend. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous. The bathrooms in the rooms are so well designed and the doors are like sliding barn doors with full size mirrors. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, 24 hour coffee and hot water (for hot tea and hot cocoa). We were not able to use the pool but the seating area next to it is great. Seating area has an stoned outdoor gas fire place and gas grill. The entire hotel is very modern. The staff couldn't be better and always have a great smile and energetic personality. 16 cars were broken into the night we stayed. Most of the cars were parked directly in front on the building in a well lite area. The staff didn't seem surprised since it happens frequently. I asked the manager, what they have changed since the last incident and she had no response. read more

Average motel. Hamptons are getting expensive for what they offer. We had no cups or shampoo. Shower head was set to stream and could not be reached by me a short person. OUTSTANDING!!!! Anastasia & Kevin exceeded my checkin expectations, this duo went above and beyond to make me feel right at home-and it only got better from there. This hotel is brand new, so the rooms are exceptionally clean, updated immenities(including quartz countertops in bathroom, subway tiles in shower)including the carpets-all with that fresh paint smell! The grounds are gorgeous, and the pool spotless. I highly recommend for business(which is why I am here), but would be perfect for families vacationing - close to upscale shopping & restaurants.
