The guest rooms are sleek, modern, and undeniably luxurious, with a sophisticated design that feels appropriate for a newer urban JW property. The glass shower was spacious and attractive, though oddly there was no body wash provided, and the drain was clogged--small details, but noticeable at this level. The mattress, unfortunately, was extremely firm--uncomfortably so for me--and made for a restless night. Because our luggage was still stuck at the airport, we requested several basic toiletries. Despite assurances, they never arrived. On the positive side, room service is available 24 hours, and the food was excellent--fresh, well-prepared, and delivered promptly. The Executive Lounge is also a standout: beautifully designed and offering a strong breakfast spread that made the morning far more enjoyable. Ben at the front desk the next morning deserves special mention. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely responsive in addressing the issues we experienced the night before, which helped restore some confidence in the stay. One lingering question: I don't quite understand why an urban hotel charges a Daily Destination Fee. While the fee can be offset with credits toward room service or dining, it still felt out of place for a downtown business-oriented property. I've stayed at JW Marriotts in several other cities and have consistently found their service to be a strength. That's why I was surprised that service here didn't quite meet those expectations. The pull out bed did not have any bedding and when we called they only brought us sheets, no blankets. They brought them up the next time though. They also closed breakfast early. If you want breakfast you will have to get there sooner than 10 minutes before they close. Overall, it was a pretty good experience! This hotel is right next to Time Warner Cable Arena and you can walk anywhere Uptown. They also have robes you can use. My favorite part about the hotel was the room set up. Our room had a FULL refrigerator, a two burner stove and a microwave. Very nice layout too. There is also a little store here that sells some random stuff. I would recommend this hotel for long term stays. I did not eat/drink at the restaurant at all.

By the time I arrived at 1130 pm, exhausted and emotionally drained, I had every reason to believe my room was secured. Instead, I was told the hotel was oversold and had no rooms available. What happened next was beyond disappointing. The front desk attendant was incredibly cold, dismissive, and outright rude. He claimed a manager had called me to notify me of the issue, which was simply not true. When I asked what I was supposed to do, I was told, in a tone that made it clear he did not care, that it was not his problem. There was no attempt to help, no effort to find alternative accommodations, and no sense of urgency despite the late hour and the fact that the city was fully booked. Instead he watched as my sister and I sobbed and panicked in the lobby for an hour without so much as a sorry. I was left stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. Every hotel in the area was sold out. We ended up sleeping in my car. To make matters worse, I was in town because my father had just passed away. This was not a routine trip. In a moment where even basic human empathy would have gone a long way, I was met with indifference, coldness, and irritation. Mistakes happen. But how a hotel handles it is what matters, and in this case, it was handled with a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency. If you are considering staying here, understand that even with a confirmed reservation, advance check in, and a room selected, you may still not have a room when you arrive--and if something goes wrong, you should not expect help from the staff or the manager. Completely unacceptable experience with despicable staff, especially for the Hilton brand.

Brittany was especially nice and helpful via text message. When I first arrived, the room was set to 57 degrees, which felt very cold, considering it was in the 20/30s outside. The maintenance staff member was friendly and helpful. I love that the hotel offers a keyless entry option (even though I didn't personally use it), and I really enjoyed the food and drink service to the room. The bartender was especially friendly and welcoming, with great drink options. I also checked out the gym, which looked great and was well maintained. I love that it offered a Peloton, which was a nice bonus. This was my first solo trip, and I felt very safe throughout my stay. I appreciated that the doors locked at certain hours and requires a key card for entry. Parking is available in a structure across the street for $15.30 per night and was easy to access in and out. The staff overall was very friendly, including housekeeping. The only suggestion I'd make is that it would be helpful if the front doors had a way to stay open or a button for entry, as it was a bit tricky managing luggage, though the luggage trolley was conveniently available right inside the entrance. I also felt the early check-in fee of $75.00 was a bit steep for ~two hours. The area felt safe and nice, with great nearby coffee shops, stores, and a beautiful mall in South Park. While I love the area, I'd personally choose to stay closer to downtown next time since travel times ended up being longer than expected. Secondly where water is supposed to pour in the gym for your drink, it was so dirty. Also in the gym: There are no cleaning supplies to clean after yourself, meaning potentially it goes hours without cleaning and that can be a big sanitation issue. 2. The beds are hard, and I wasn't sure that the shower was properly cleaned. There are two shower heads, one you can remove and adjust wherever you want. I aimed it to a corner of the shower to check and out came dirt, dust, I'm not sure what else. Nothing crazy but still. Also, why and how is the toilet crooked? It's so weird to sit in. The shower settings are kinda complicated to figure out and the water pressure could be better. Now the bathroom door: NO. It isn't a real door, it's like a glass slide door thing that came off the wheels TWICE, and there's no ventilation in the bathroom: meaning foggy, stinky, whatever just lingers for awhile. 3. No pool, roof top lounge, but no pool. 4. Room is pretty meh ‍ Most likely would not book again, but to each their own. If you don't care about those things then book to your hearts desire The lobby is nice, the hotel looks insane, I wished the rooms and gym matched that.

Then a second later it is super loud. Spouse said most modern tvs have an auto feature that manages this. But this is on Marriott and not the hotel as with some research it showed this is a pretty common issue most folks have about the tvs. We are buying a Roku stick to try and use in the future to access other streaming services we pay for at home. The beds are better than other hotels in the Marriott family but spouse and I still find them a bit uncomfortable. I would like to have them a more memory foam material than the spring with pillow top. Wardrobe was awesome it is a nice size. Lights up when the doors are opened and has a pretty floral scape along the back of it. I was able to keep my carry on sized suitcase in there. Spouse was able to hand my dress and his sports coat and pants for event we were going to. Room had plenty of counter space in the room and bathroom. This was great. Oddly there seemed to be drums that started playing outside at like 9am on Saturday that woke us both up. There was a wedding going on that weekend and I know they had some breakfasts not sure if there was maybe a morning ceremony too? Noise didn't last super long but woke us both up. The windows you can hear a fair amount of noise through from the street. Ordered room service I think 3 times. Very excellent experience each and every time. The food was underwhelming, and it took 40 minutes for a turkey BLT, no napkins, it was an overall poor experience. We wanted to enjoy the hot tub but the jets were broken. You'd think everything would be fully functional in a hotel/spa of this caliber. I don't mind paying an automatic service charge when service is actually provided, but that wasn't the case here. I find that staff is less likely to care when the gratuity is automatic, which held true at this spa. The spa itself is beautiful, serene, and well designed. Our technicians, Renata and Kieyan, were professional, warm, and truly the highlight of the entire visit. If I were rating solely based on them, it would be a full five stars. If you're only looking for a great massage, I'd recommend this spa. If you're seeking a full luxury spa experience, go elsewhere.
