OMG ... looks like I did end up getting "Stuck in Lodi Again!" I thought I was on my way outta here and I get a message from my work I gotta stay a little longer. So, I check into the Holiday Inn Express here in Lodi. I usually always stay with IHG Holiday Inn Express cause I'm a platinum member with all my travel I do. I got a room no prob and checked in a little early even. My rewards points were posted to my account just fine. I don't know how long I'll be "stuck in Lodi again" ... hee hee just gotta sing that song! But this is a good place to be stuck. The room was clean and the WIFI worked just fine so I can do my work. Coffee is available 24/7 either in the lobby of there's a little coffee thing in the room. Each room comes with a little microwave and fridge to keep stuff like leftovers from meals. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water pressure, for those really long hot showers, my little water tank at home can't give me! Breakfast is the same stuff and it's good and hot as it is at all Holiday Inn locations. read more

Blood on bed sheets I stayed here recently and I can't recommend for anyone to stay here. When I first arrived I was assigned a room with an A/C not working. After I reported the problem, I was assigned another room on the same floor. Everything seemed to be ok until the next morning when I noticed blood stains on the 2 sheets and the comforter. The blood stains where made by someone else and were not caught by the housekeeping dept. I reported the problem to the Front Desk. I gave enough detail information about the blood stains to the Front Desk attendant. She told me all the bedding would be changed. I also left a hand written note on the section of the bed where the stains were. When I came back in the after noon I noticed only one sheet had been changed leaving 2 other stained sheets. I went to talk to the (same) Front Desk female attendant she told me I needed to speak to the supervisor of the Housekeeping Dept. It turns out since my note was written in English, Housekeeping didn't know what the note said. What was irritating was that to only change one bed sheet, the other stained bedding had to have been noticed unless the person in Housekeeping was working in the dark with eyes closed to not have seen blood stains on the remaining bedding pieces. It all went back to the Front Desk clerk who did not follow through to ensure the supervisor of Housekeeping knew the extent of the problem since she did not speak English. I've written an email to Ivans to inform of what happened. However, I have not received an acknowledgement that my email was received. It would have been nice of the Front Desk clerk would've offered an apology for ruining my trip. read more

I was trying to decide between staying here or back at the University Plaza Waterfront (I have stayed there once before) near the Stockton Arena. After seeing the pictures here, I decided to cancel my reservation for the University Waterfront because this place seemed more secluded and they have the good brekkie, lol. The room I had was on the 1st floor, very convenient without having to wait for the elevator. It was clean and had no bed bugs that I could see, YAY for that alone! I was too afraid to try that ironing trick that's trending on TikTok and IG, so I didn't do it. If I can't see anything upon close inspection, I'll take it!! I woke up the next day feeling well rested and no bed bug bites, so double win there! Breakfast was good, but I think the pancake machine needs to be adjusted because the pancakes seemed a tad undercooked. They serve it daily from 6 to 9 am, so if you go towards the end, you likely will miss most of the good hot stuff. I didn't catch the bacon (if they had any), but I did get 1 sausage and left the other 2 behind. They still had 3 cheese egg omelets, but I didn't take one. Everything tasted great. The room was a comfortable size and the convenience of having the mini fridge and microwave always comes in handy. The bathtub was dated, but it serves its purpose. I like that they have Dove toiletries, including hand soap and lotion. I HATE those little bar soaps hotels usually have by the sink. I bring my own foaming hand soap but didn't have to this time. They also have a fitness center, laundry facilities and a swimming pool and jacuzzi. Parking is free, and there is plenty of it. Service was also great as Manuel took good care of me when I called in a few days ahead to see if I could check in earlier than the usual 3pm standard check in time. I didn't see him when I checked in, but I met him checking out. Cool guy, cool vibes, and I told him I would tell people to stay here, lol. The other 2 ladies I encountered the day I checked in were super nice as well. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Lodi if you're looking for a place to stay in the area. It's near shops and restaurants and didn't seem ghetto to me. It's like a level above Stockton area (or so I was told by a friend). I told Manuel I'd be back one day, so tune in for my next check in.. til then, don't take my Duchess title away, lol! read more

This was by far the worst Holiday INN I have ever stayed at. Thank God it was for two days. I don't know if it's because of the of the Manager dude named Ivan or the lady named Che I wote a review a while ago. To let everybody to know to not come here. This was about 4 months ago when I left my review it's not on here anymore I wonder why!!!? I was in my room it supposed to auto lock from the other side I still even moved the deadbolt to make sure it was locked. I woke up and I seen some homeless man over at the end of my bed watching TV like a weirdo like it was his room. This Holiday Inn Express location in Lodi is in the same area as the Candlewood Suites. This hotel is dog friendly (pet fee: $55 per night, pet can not weigh more than 40 lbs), provides free parking, free breakfast, free WiFi, laundry facilities on site (cost $3.75 per washer and per dryer) and small gym on site for use. I stayed at this location with my husband and our little girl dog for the first time a few weeks ago. My husband travels to and from this area every week and every so often, my little girl and I will accompany him. Upon check in on a Monday afternoon, this employee that was helping us was rude. When he told the woman that we were checking in, under his name, she said she didn't see that name in her computer. So I gave her my name (sometimes my husband will accidently put the hotel name under my name if we travel together. The problem with the autofill in the computer). She said she didn't have that name either. My husband asked her again if she was sure it wasn't under his name and she dismissed him immediately while he was talking. During that time, I pulled up my email to see who the name was under for this hotel stay. My husband decided to give the girl his ID so that she can look at the spelling of my husband's last name (my email showed me it was under my husband's name). The woman said no at first when she looked at my husband's ID but I told her that it is under his name and was about to show her my email with the hotel confirmation but she said "found it" as she cut me off. She was also rude about telling me the hotel pet policy and requiring that I sign the pet policy forms. Anyways, after we were finally checked in and handed keys (as if we needed that after driving from LA to northern California...), we got one of those luggage dollies and loaded up our luggage and then headed in the elevator to get to our room. Our room was a double queen room, that has a mini fridge (with freezer) and microwave available. I liked that there is plenty of space available to lay out my luggage (because I don't like having things on the floor and often times I will use the second bed to place my items on if there is not enough tables and counter space). I also like the Dove branded hand soap and products inside the shower. The room itself is quite spacious. I just wished the door to the bathroom stayed open instead of automatically kept close. Breakfast in the morning (6:30- 9:30 am daily) was good. Eggs, sausage, various cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, etc were available each day. The gym, although small, was fine for me. I liked that I am able to refill my water bottle during my workout and I greatly appreciate the disinfectant wipes made available to wipe down the gym machines. The washer and dryer were probably the most expensive that I have used at any hotel (I really prefer to wash my clothes before coming home because it just makes all the difference for me). Well, I had a reservation a month in advanced and I called them to ensure I have a crib for my baby and they said I had nothing to worry about. Called again 2 days before and same answer. The day I arrived the front agent said "oh no sorry it looks like we don't have anymore cribs" I explained to them that I called them ahead of time twice and was assured I would have it. Agent repeated same thing and I was upset. Their lack of delivering on their word is nonexistent. The Agent assured me I would receive a reimbursement for 1 day of the 2 day stay I booked and to this day NOTHING. Pool out of service. But, the lady serving the breakfast was lovely. read more

Room and staff were great. We've been coming here for years for the biannual Wine Walk and wine tasting in general. Breakfast has always been stellar until this visit. Breakfast is now served 6 - 9am. We went to eat about 8:20 and all that was available to eat was cereal. I had a six night stay there in January and everything was fine until my last night there. I realized by accident, that my room door did not lock. I was using my key and thought the door was locked, but this night, i dropped my key and leaned on the door and it opened. I was rather shocked to realize I had been staying in this room where belongings and I were not safe. I brought it to the attention of the receptionist who apologized and said she would have it checked out. She offered me another room, but as I was a few hours away from check-out, I declined. She said that she would pass the complaint along to management and have someone call me, but I never received a call. It wasn't until I gave them a negative review on their survey, that that the manager contacted me almost 3 weeks later. I captured this on video so I could show them in the event they responded with "the door is working", which they did, but I have the video to prove the door did not lock at all. I asked to be reimbursed, but the manager Ivan said he couldn't do that. I could, but chose not to and said I can post it any where I want. Been staying at this location for more than 5 years. We were there this past long weekend, and may I say it was a horrible experience, very unprofessional . We found couple of beetles in our bathroom and my daughter bed. Brought it up to front desk attention and Elizabeth was kind enough to change us room. When I asked for a refund or discount for the incident the Manager David was nowhere to be found. The front desk agents Ty, Lina said they were going to help me out but never got answers. It's very upsetting that after being a returning guest for many years we get this treatment. The wife and I stayed here for a night while in town for the wine and chocolate festival. Room was a decent size and clean. Nothing too fancy but gets the job done. The gym was decent too. Just a basic set of dumbells, a bench, an exercise bike and a treadmill but you could get an OK workout with the equipment available. Complimentary breakfast was OK. Pretty basic but good. read more

We booked our reservation thru travelocity for 3 nights and 4 days. We arrived here last Saturday 1hr before the regular check in time, I called first and spoke to the front desk and Michael is nice enough to accommodate us. Room- we have 2 queen size bed and a sofa day bed. Clean and neat, I love how the room is big. It also includes a microwave and a small under counter fridge. Laundry Rm- located on the first floor of the hotel. It's on the pricey side, but great amenities. Pool- heated pool and a jacuzzi. Pet friendly- we brought our fur boy with us, there's a little bit of grass on the side of the hotel where you can walk your dog. $25 per night pet charge on your stay. Gym- perfect for people who goes to the gym. A few work out machines. Employees here are friendly and very accommodating which what we liked. The stay also includes the continental breakfast for all the parties in the reservation. Overall experience is great! We don't mind staying here for future trips. read more

By far, the best hotel we stayed at during our 23 day road trip in terms of being quiet and comfortable - we did stay on a Thursday night though and it seemed fairly deserted. Breakfast lady was super nice. Everyone else seems to hate their job or they just hate people. Not a smile or any eye contact from any of the three front desk clerks. Note: there is construction going on as of the time of this posting. The lobby is pretty torn up when you walk in. I mention mostly because they started work at 7am. Great stay if you need a place for a night or two. I was very impressed by the staff here - also the buffet breakfast was very impressive!! My boyfriend and I checked in around 9pm, we were able to choose the floor we wanted to be on and given a slightly larger room - it's nice to feel special! I wish me and my boyfriend could of checked out the hot tub, but we got into the hotel too late. The front desk actually told us we could still go relax and check it out but we were too exhausted from our drive and early morning to come. The beds were very comfortable, loved the soaps and brand used in the shower. You have a mini fridge and keurig machine in the room as well. My boyfriend and my favorite part was actually the little space to put luggage and hang coats, I think it's a really thoughtful design to the travelers needs. Breakfast came with a hearty buffet of eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, pastries, "make your own pancakes", coffee, tea...honestly I'm so happy this is still included in the valley - you won't find included breakfast anywhere in the Bay Area without a 60$ charge. I really miss valley life now! I definitely would come back if I needed a one-two night stop while traveling. If I wanted to stay and enjoy the Lodi/Stockton area for a romantic weekend or week - I would probably check out a local B&B or something more boutique. read more

I recently got married and chose to stay here as it was close to the venue. My whole family stayed here and everyone I've talked to, has said what a wonderful stay they had. From start to finish, and everything in between, the stay and hospitality given by the employees here was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had in my life. Huge shoutout to Trinity and Mary for going above and beyond to make myself and my new wife feel so special on our big day. We had stayed at this hotel before and for some reason I was more impressed with it before. This time, I thought it was just okay. The customer service is hit or miss. Prior to our trip, I had called and requested a room on the 2nd floor, which they gladly obliged, but when we got to our room and had to call the front desk for something else, they didn't answer the phone after several attempts of calling. The other thing that bugged is that they don't have a secure internet connection. I specifically brought my laptop with the hopes of doing work in the early morning or late evening hours, but that didn't happen. The breakfast was also just average, at best. I remember it being much better back in the day, several years ago, with food refilled often. Overall I'd probably stay here again because it's not that bad. It's just not great. read more

Beware of a bait and switch fraud scheme at this Holiday Inn Express Lodi hotel. I made a reservation via the IHG app and 6 hours before I checked-in Stacy called me stating they would not honor the room price I was confirmed for. She said the rate was not honored on weekends and there would be a price increase. I told her that was unacceptable and I asked to speak to a manager since they would not honor my confirmed rate; she said none were available until 8pm and she couldn't call anyone. I'm a senior still working and I believe it's not only improper to increase my confirmed rate but illegal. I made a complaint with the California Attorney General and would encourage other victims to do so, as well. read more

This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. It is newly renovated and has a lot of surprises we haven't seen in other Holiday Inn Express hotels. There is ample space for all our stuff. Tons of plugs everywhere and a nice work space. Everything was nice and tidy! You can tell they went the extra mile to show they care. Even the coffee area was set up nicely. This hotel is the Worst. Never again in Lodi. I am here for business 6 times a year. Here for two nights, and 2nd night-Friday- after 645pm and the front desk clerk will not help stop the construction noise banging against our headboard. Construction All day, and we were told that it will stop at 6pm, but after 6 45, No One will stop it -I won't say the snide remarks made-, and they refuse to give us the manager's name or information on how to contact them. With Covid, we washed our whole room down on the first day and do not want to change rooms on night 2. If they had all of this construction next to this room, Why put someone in it? We ended up being placed in the ADA room, without requesting it. The room is a hazard. The showers weren't working correctly, the floor is extremely slippery, and when this was mentioned to the front desk they said there was nothing they can do about it. They gave me the corporate number, and all the robotic woman could do was enroll me in a rewards program to receive points. This room is an accident waiting to happen. In addition, the coffee maker wasn't working and the Window shades were inoperable. It looked like a room that was a state of disrepair. Bottom line is I feel that they do not care about customer service, there was no one to voice our complaints with. You would think at the very minimum, they would be concerned about the liability and safety of their ADA guests I don't care about their points. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn express again. So incredibly frustrating. I've never been in a situation where the company was so rigid with it's policy that they would not listen to customer feedback. read more

The front desk person was very nice and welcoming. The rest of the hotel wasn't too bad. My room however was gross. The white substance on the headstand and stain on the bed were really gross. When I made the reservation online, I selected the option for a single bed but got a room with two beds instead. I'm too tired to go down and ask to be moved to another room. I guess there are two beds so I can avoid the other bed for now. I'll never stay in this hotel again for sure. read more

Stayed here for one night checked out before checkout time due to roaches. I checked in late I went straight to sleep when I woke up in the morning I seen a roach by my bed and a roach underneath the table I took pictures went downstairs for breakfast and when I came back up the one that was by my bed was gone I immediately gathered my belongings and checked out as I didn't want my things to get infested. I let the front desk staff know and showed her the pictures as well I paid over $143 for 8 hours and expected the best but unfortunately I left very disappointed and will not be returning. Beware of hidden charges. I have booked the room with Holiday Inn Express at Lodi, CA checking in on 18-Jul-2022 and checking out on 19-Jul-2022. I always check with the front desk upon checking in and checking out whether there is any hidden fees e.g. parking fees or other fees that I will be charge so that are no surprise. When I check out on 19-Jul-2022. I ask again. Is there any fees I need to be aware as I hate to be charge for anything without my authorization. They reasurrance me the room is fully paid off. No other fees and the check in deposit of $200 will be returned to my card in the next few days. While I was doing my monthly credit card bills today. I realised there are a fees that charge with my credit card without my authorization. I call and the front desk told me that is Property fees that. Is not included in the payment when I book with Orbitz. I told them I stay with lot of hotels in California due to my works. None of the hotel will have property fee charge to a guest after they have checked out without their authorization. It is scary to think of what happened they will charge again to my card in the future with other excuses. When I call in. The front desk say I need to call other day to talk to their manager. I am not going to waste my time dealing with them and will call the credit card company to find out whether it is legal for them to charge me after I have checked out without my knowledge or approval. Definitely will not stay with them again. It is worrisome to know a company can submit a charges without my authorization as they have my credit card information. If I do not check every transaction while doing the billing. I will not even know of the unauthorized transaction. read more
