Staying at The Poppy Sisters Inn was a wonderful treat for us. The craftsman era home was beautifully decorated, clean and a must; our room had a comfortable bed and the bathroom towels were soft. The owner was so accommodating. Due to Covid regulations she couldn't serve us breakfast, but each night offered us a bottle of local Lodi wine as we sat on the wrap around porch enjoying the calm, quiet neighborhood and the cool, Delta breeze. Downtown Lodi was 5 blocks away with wine tasting, craft beers, shops and dining which we enjoyed each night. The owner lives behind the main house in a cottage, but gave us complete privacy. We truly loved our stay and will stay here again when we come back to explore the Lodi wine scene.

I couldn't be happier that this is where my wife and I chose to stay on our first trip to Lodi. At first blush, it may seem as most BnB's... but upon further experience, you will see that this has had the full resto-mod. All of the upgrades and updates are all tastefully done, so as to maintain the spirit and integrity of the history in the home... while allowing for the comforts of today. One thing that I noted was that it didn't make all the noises that the typical BnB's make... all the creeks and squeeks that normally leave me feeling as though the place is going to collapse beneath my feet. Trish, the owner, shared with us some of the history and work that went into bringing this home into its current beauty. Rest assured, that she has thought of most everything. Our stay could not have been more comfortable or enjoyable. Our first night there, we were pretty pooped from the 6 hour drive into town. So, we slept once we got all checked in. Once we woke, Trish gave us some additional welcome with a night-time social, where we all shared a bottle of local wine in the garden while enjoying the fire pit. It was the perfect way to close out the first night in town. The following morning, she made us a fantastic breakfast (as she did each morning we were there.... seriously..... DELICIOUS), It wasn't your run of the mill meats/cheese/fruit/bagel assortment... this was a freshly prepared breakfast. Each day was something new and just as delicious as the day before. She made sure we had all the information we needed to do whatever it was we wanted. She even helped us out with doing a little kayaking in the nearby Lodi Lake. I don't know that there could be a more accommodating and welcoming host. We spent the afternoons wine tasting, of which Trish gave us many recommendations as well as a few passes for free tastings in the area. Each time we returned... it always just felt like coming home; not like it feels when returning to a hotel room. Trish always made sure we had everything we needed, but not overbearing... she was the perfect amount of help while always ensuring we had the space to just enjoy ourselves. My wife and I spent each morning enjoying coffee out on the porch, watching as the town awoke. And we ended each night just as we did the first... out in the garden by the fire pit. The Poppy Sister Inn really does a phenomenal job of making you feel as though you're at home. I couldn't recommend this place enough... if there is anything that brings you into the Lodi area... just do yourself the favor and stay here. It is perfectly located... just a short stroll from the downtown shops and restaurants, just a few minutes drive from the lake, and not much more of a drive to the local wineries (which we had no problem Ubering all weekend). I am incredibly happy with my experience here. If we're ever back in Lodi for any reason, this is where we'll be resting our heads.

Perfectly Peaceful…read more My husband and I recently spent several days at GRI. From the first glimpse of this Tuscany-like villa, we knew we were in for an incredible experience. Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. It is difficult to find such peace and serenity anywhere. Aah... We anticipate return visits

From the linens to the décor, super luxurious accommodations set amongst acres of vineyards, each suite with it's own private deck overlooking Tuscany-style views in the heart of Amador wine country. Our host, Linda, made an incredible stay that much more homey. Each morning's breakfast was a feast, seated outside on the covered patio with stunning views. The meals were uber fresh (filling enough that we skipped lunch both days!). Every day around 5 you're treated to wine and cheese. Perfect location to wine taste on property or venture out to the growing number of top rated wineries. Walk amongst the vineyards or take out one the beach cruisers or trikes for a ride around. At night, the fire pits are a nice touch, or just lounge on you private deck for a sunset and a moonset. Looking forward to our return!

We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!

This is a home from 1905 so it is an older house and therefore it is not perfect, has some creeks and groans, and the back kitchen door doesn't quite open right, little things like that. But, if you can get past that, it's quite an experience! The various decorations and antiques really make this an unusual and attractive place to stay. Add to that, Jane was our hostess, and she was great and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. We had one of the upstairs rooms which had a bathroom that you shared with another guest, but that other room was not rented those nights, so we pretty much had the upstairs to ourselves, which was nice. Other great things about staying here include: there is a complete kitchen that you have access to so you can put things in the fridge, you can use utensils and plates, There's a microwave and a gas range for cooking and there was free bottled water and coffees and teas available. We also enjoyed sitting out on the front deck and having our green tea in the mornings It is also centrally located and in a beautiful neighborhood. Additionally, it is completely surrounded by a fence so we were able to let the dog just roam around and all we had to do was of course pick up after her, but make sure nobody was going in or out of the gate in the front. She really enjoyed the freedom of being out in the yards. We really hope others take advantage of this unique place to stay!
