Hotel was clean. Water pressure was not great. The bathroom door had a quote that was really neat. The smoke detector or whatever was on the ceiling flashed very brightly and very often ALL night long. No bugs is always a plus. Parking is good in relatively quiet area. Pro: EV charging, free breakfast. Con: closed pool, broken elevator, room has a funky smell, old interior, not near any convenience stores, low pressure in shower head, slide door for bathroom. This is the third Hampton inn suite that I have stayed at on my travel journey and this so far has been the worst. This hotel is like in the middle of nowhere with not a lot of amenities around the hotel. You have a sonic, McDonald, BBq restaurant, and a gas station which is pretty much everything. The shower head and the sink faucet put out such low pressure which is sad. All in all, wouldn't recommend to stay here. read more

Minor issue: sink stopper didn't work so to drain the water I had to take it out, expected at a Motel 6, not a Hampton Inn. Major issues: AC never got below 75, while running it popped and crackled loudly! All night long and was extremely difficult to sleep. Also, bathroom door is barn style, when coming in from the main door you can easily see in the bathroom, and hear everything from outside the bathroom. Put up a regular door! All of these things might be expected at a cheapo hotel but not at a Hampton. read more

Brand new Hilton property in Stroud, OK that was well needed while traveling to Tulsa via Fort Worth. Located on the right side of the Stroud toll booth, this Hampton Inn is a surprise, given how small of a town Stroud really is (not many restaurants, unless you like BBQ). The building itself is well-constructed. Considering that it is adjacent to an I-44 toll booth within an area that has high wind during the fall season (welcome to Oklahoma), I barely heard it. Seriously- I slept like a baby during my stay. The walls weren't paper-thin at all, and the bed felt as if I was sleeping on top of a soft marshmallow. Regarding the room, I was in a true suite. Quite spacious on the top floor, overlooking the Stroud cityscape of toll booth, farm acreage, and Oklahoma suburbia. Had I had an extended stay in Tulsa, I would've easily stayed within this room despite being 40 + miles away. Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast you'll find at the thousand or so other properties across the US (its consistently good with its nourishment), yet don't have the expectation of it being something comparable to an Embassy Suites or Hilton Garden Inn breakfast. That's an unfair comparison. Customer service was fantastic at both check-in, and check-out. The evening cookies (like at most properties) were certainly a nice touch. While there is certainly a business and fitness center, I'm uncertain about the status of the pool (I think its indoors) due to me not using it. Overall, staying in Stroud is a good option if you prefer not driving the 90 minutes between Oklahoma City and Tulsa, particularly if there is bad weather (which I experienced on this trip). Given how comfortable and quiet this property was, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Stroud. read more

HAMPTON INN & Suites in Stroud, Ok. 11/22 Stayed here by chance. We needed a hotel driving through and we looked this one up online and took it. We were making a drive to central U.S. and back out west. This is a very nice place. Parking lot is well lit, staff is ready to help where they can and very customer oriented. You top this off with breakfast munchies (sausage is the best, a hint of heat) and this place being the best hotel/inn we stayed at AND it was the cheapest. Go figure! If/when we find ourselves in the area we will stay here. read more

We stayed here on our way back to MO. Very pretty hotel w very friendly staff. Our room was on 3 floor and very clean w a spacious bathroom. Shower water was hot. (Some places it's not very hot) We Had a great nights sleep. I appreciate clean hotels w a friendly staff. The breakfast was minimal but something to grab on way out (breakfast could use some work). On Sunday morning 7/28/24, we were staying in room 302 at Hampton Inn and suites in stroud Oklahoma. At approximately 10 am a male employee with house keeping started to enter our room. I have left early that morning for an appointment, my girlfriend was staying in room till about 1130 am and then meet me for lunch. I was on the phone with her when all of sudden she heard someone coming through the door and saying house keeping, no knock. She quickly said wait a minute cause she was still laying in bed. I said who's that she said it's house keeping. I said why are they coming in considering check out is 12 noon. She was so startled and concerned that she got up and got out there not knowing what his goal was. A male coming into room , could've followed her from getting coffee/breakfast, who knows. She called front desk and told them what happened and they took her on what happened. I called a little bit later and the mgr on duty said he handled it. Said the employee had made a mistake and meant to go into 304. I'm concerned about that because we were in 302 across from 301 at end of hallway. 304 is not at end and why was he going into 304. If he was going to 304 he should've know when he got to end of hallway he was not at 304. Very concerned about his goal. What if my girlfriend had been getting dressed at mirror. i was all set to give this place a 5 star review. it's kind of in the middle of nowhere off a blasted OK turnpike that makes you pay every time you fart. nice clean room. nice tv. watched Thursday night football (first game of the season). nice king size bed and spacious room. my only complaint and this is a big one for me. the tepid temperature of the hot water. i like to use scalding water to burn the dirt off my skin. maybe my rugged, callused body is intolerant of scalding water anymore but the hottest water setting was barely luke warm. that's a deal breaker to me. i hate living in a world that is safe for infants. read more

Stopped here for the night on the way from Albuquerque back to Chicago. This is a very nice hotel, and I didn't have any complaints, which is rare for me. If I wanted to be a stickler and find something to complain about... the water pressure in the shower wasn't the best, perhaps it was an issue with the shower head. It was on the low side of adequate. The other complaint is that the TV didn't have any smart features or any means of watching things like YouTube, however it did have a complete directv package, and was very well sized to the room, I'd guess 50 inch? Other than those two very minor complaints, the service was perfect, the room was great, and the breakfast was better than to be expected for free. I'd stay here again and recommend it. Arrived, parked and business man getting out of car warned me to empty car of all valuables as 3 business vehicles broken into with smashed windows early a.m 4/25/2023. Signs in parking lot warns property not responsible; yet, no security cameras in lot with robbery. Pouring down rain and the 3 vehicles robbed were full of water & had to drive home with broken windows. My room: broken wall thermostat with paper sign stating to use wall system settings. No temperature thermostat on unit and the system fan ran loudly non-stop without any way to adjust temperature. Bathroom sink, no stopper, at all! Closed drain manually then couldn't release drain. Water filled to rim. Diamond member & was told 'sold out' and had to take room assigned on 2nd floor. Room booked months in advance. Loud customer above me late into night. No sleep! Ridiculous to be a Diamond member. Cannot pick room on line. Anyone parks in Diamond slot as it's not monitored. Could add more but exhausted and recommend you stay clear of this property! read more

If you want to unwind watching tv while in bed or watch it when you wake up next morning, YOU DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE. TV is on the side is either on the left wall or right wall and you to angle it out and then lay at an angle to watch, stupid designers. If ya like the air conditioner on but not blowing in your face while in bed, DO NOT STAY HERE. You cannot have any privacy at all if you are in the bathroom and you happen to be traveling with your children, step-children, school students sharing a room, etc...... If you are in shower and the room door is opened, hallway passerby's can see ya. This place has barn style sliding door that either covers closet or bathroom. Never ever again will I stay at a Hampton Inn that has remodeled to this style. read more

We arrived earlier than expected, and staff was very accommodating by letting us check-in early. The room was very nice, spacious, clean, and new decor. Came with refrigerator and coffee maker which worked well. We had a special request for my elderly aunt and staff was very helpful at meeting that request. The breakfast was much better than expected! Delicious, hot, fresh, and great variety - included many healthy choices too! My mother and I tried out the indoor pool each might of our stay, and enjoyed it! A great way to end our busy days ( visiting family). I especially liked that the staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful no matter what time we came down with questions, requests, or just to get the fresh brewed coffee always available in the lobby. I would recommend and will return there for next years family reunion stay. read more

The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. However they lack in their understanding of the law. I am a disabled person. Ive suffered from seizures for most of my life and i have a service dog who alerts me as to when i am going to have one. I went to the pool area with my service dog and was told i coukd not have them in their. I immediately went to the front desk and explained why i needed my specialy trained animal to alert me if i am going to have a seizure especially if i am in the pool area. They were very rude and did not comply with any laws. In fact they told me i cannot bring my dog in the pool area at all. And then proceeded to contact my employer telling them straight bullshit. On top of all of that my wife got stuck in the elevator for nearly 35min. She was understanably upset and refused to go in the elevator after that. They wouldnt even give us another room on the first floor without charging more money. Oh by the way. She has a broken foot and a torn ACL. SO STAIRS WERE NOT EASY read more

Good solid place to stay. The room (King Suite) is bigger than most other Hamptons and Hiltons we've stayed at. The breakfast, as at most Hamptons, is well maintained and and sufficient (I know, not the highest praise for a breakfast - but as breakfasts go it'll do) but as at all Hamptons, the attempt at keeping it hot with a domed cover is a miss as the potatoes and meat often get soggy after a bit of time in there. The rooms are very comfortable but the room darkening blinds are a bit ineffective so you may need to block the sides of window shades with something if prefer darkness. Great location and easy access and overall very clean and well kept. Best thing though is the staff - friendly and very helpful. In this case we have to single out Chasen who was working the front desk. He was great at assisting with our check in and helped make our stay a delight. It was very much appreciated after a very long day of travel. Definitely recommend Hampton Inn in Stroud. read more

Wow, just wow. I am so impressed. I read the reviews and they didn't let me down. This is probably the nicest Hampton Inns I've been to. The pool is supper clean. The staff is friendly. The room was spotless and the bathroom has a defog for the glass and awesome massaging shower head. We stopped at the Rock Cafe in town and that was awesome too. I'll definitely come back to this Inn and this tiny little town. What a great little hidden gem!! read more
