So I went up to the Hudson Valley on a whim and I needed a place to stay. I took a chance here and it paid off. The rooms were clean. The staff was good and while not a five star hotel by any means, it was a good hotel and that's my summation. This was a good place to stay. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The location felt safe. Is this good for large families? I don't know. Is this good for business? I don't know either. In general, the room was clean. It felt safe and the price wasn't horrible. When parking, my car felt secure and overall this was a good place to stay. Not a 5 star hotel, but a great overnight stay without having to worry if I picked the right hotel. read more

Hampton is the worse GM Melanie and I spoke from 10am 7/24/206. Told her the woman at front desk yelling information so everyone could hear. She apologized this morning then.when I came on Wednesday another woman let some cut inline to get in front of me. This afternoon she yelled my last name. I told her to stop she told me to leave after o paid over $400 housekeeping making noise by my room she didn't fix it. She said leave o said no. Not once did she attempt to return my money for three night. She tried to tell me paying $185 is better that $137 she was discussing towards me. And watch me check insisted on give 2 room keys never offer anything not ever free day haven't allowed since Wednesday. She can't work the computer. Worst stay ever I will leave Monday. The pool is "closed" but that's not posted anywhere to know in advance when booking. The bar is "closed" due to their waiting for a delivery? These could be draws for people, and deeply disappointing upon arrival. The 24/7 coffee is not kept up- no decaf at night? The wall based amenities are not kept up- conditioner was empty, and the high hat light in the bathroom was out, making it difficult to get made up and ready. Was staying on the second floor and had to take an elevator to alternate floors to access a working ice machine ... Rather inconvenient. Although their breakfast buffet had several options, by 7:30 AM emptied items were not replenished. Their little concierge/shop was so grossly overpriced. Yes, these convenience shops always are overpriced, but this was price gouging! Does Hampton/Hilton really need that markup for their bottom line? It's terribly taking advantage of their guests and capitalizing on their isolated location. Need to fine tune this place for a better guest experience. Has potential to be so much better! read more

This has been my go to hotel in Yonkers for the past 7 years. Last year they renovated and things got a bit crazy with all the workers and the elevator not working for a while, but I chalked it up to the renovation and figured things would be better after completion. I was wrong. Now, elevator works, but every ice machine is "out of order", the staff are very rude, and housekeeping does a minimal job of cleaning and stocking the rooms. No shower gel in my room. Went down to breakfast to find the oatmeal, my go to when traveling, full of water like someone literally poured a gallon of water onto raw oats. Insane. The entire experience has gone downhill, while the hotel looks much nicer and newer. I wish it were back to how it was. Going to be switching up my hotel when I work in Yonkers now. We have always stayed at Hampton Inn when we travel and have good experiences. We were disappointed on our last visit, for several reasons. First, we were charged for parking, which is ridiculous, given the location. Also the breakfast buffet now only serves "butter like spread" instead of butter. The outdoor patio doesn't open until 10am and had limited hours. The pool (with limited hours) was not stocked with towels. Overall, Hampton Inn has cut corners to save money and is no longer our go-to hotel. read more

Terrible. The walls are thin and so flimsy that our room shook every time someone closed a door. The doors appear to be designed to slam shut whenever closed, making it worse. We could hear every word of convetsations in the hall. It was impossible to get any sleep until things settled down about midnight. Our group all booked through the Hilton Honors website, only to discover later that we were charged very different rates for the same grade of rooms on the same nights with the same level of Hilton Honors membership. Before I made a reservation I called and asked is your pool open. They said yes, they did not tell me it is only opened 5-9 pm. It says on website it is heated it was cold and I could not swim. The website reads it has a restaurant, it does not! I traveled by train, I have to taxi to nearest restaurant. The breakfast is from 6-9am. My room had clinking sound during the night, I could not sleep. Not a relaxing stay! If this is what Hampton inn's are like, I will never stay in another one. read more

When we checked in, the staff was playing on their phones, unprofessional, and rude then we realized that they didn't have a blanket for the pullout bed for my child. We went down to get one and they said they would bring one up. We waited and waited and waited. They never did so we went back down and they said they ran out of blankets because their washers were broken. The next morning, I took a freezing cold shower. Hot water never came on. Once I spoke to a manager the next morning, she very nicely comped my room. But I would never go back. read more

My gold necklace was stolen by housekeeping. When I brought it up to the woman at the front she goes "that's not possible". And then brushed me off saying speak to Manager Kenneth as if he was going to tell me the same thing. I don't argue- so, I filed a police report because I ALWAYS take a photos of the room before I leave for the day and you can clearly see the necklace on the dresser. I think it's wild how rude this lady was. She must be so proud--walking around with all that confidence, like she's the CEO of bad attitudes and empty carbs. Truly an inspiration for anyone who's ever wanted to be unbearable, unhelpful and built like a bean bag. read more

Decent stay that is close enough to the city; particularly the Bronx. I was welcomed in and promptly got a room with no issues. Value is decent for what you get and my favorite part is the water pressure! Any hotel with water pressure like this automatically gets my endorsement. read more

One night stay. Clean, Quiet, Well Maintained property. Front desk staff was quiet but friendly. Lobby was very clean and well lit. Bar was open and although we didn't use it there were several people at it and it was well stocked. Free breakfast was plentiful with the standard hotel fare of eggs, toast, pastries, yogurt, meat, potatoes, oatmeal, waffles and fruit. Large dining area that can spill over into bar area if more space is needed. Room was clean with no issues. Bathroom is large. Shower is stocked with full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They do charge $12 to park and it wasn't mentioned at check in or even asked if we had a car. It is in an industrial/business park area so not sure why they charge to park unless it is standard in the area. read more

Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers is a nice hotel that I stayed while passing through Yonkers. My husband and I stayed in a 2 queen bedroom. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom had a good amount of counter space and the shower had an okay water pressure. This hotel has a complementary hot breakfast (6 am- 10 am) that included scrambled eggs, potato and bacon. There was also a make your own waffle machine, assorted pastries/ breads, cold cereals, instant oatmeal, juice, milk, tea/ coffee. The dining area had a very nice seating area with a lot of places to sit. The gym on site is pretty big that had a water dispenser, disinfectant wipes, a TV and a handful of equipment for use. This hotel does have a pool but I did not use it during my stay. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would stay here again if needing to stay out here again in the future. read more

I used a third party vendor for a hotel deal and was pleased when this Hampton Inn was the surprise hotel. The service was excellent. They provided a bottle of water and toothbrush, which I requested. The rooms were modern, spare and clean. Free wifi. Breakfast which was included, was 6-10 am on a Sunday. There were scrambled eggs, chicken patties, bagels, better quality cereals like Kashi, juice and green apples. I asked the woman in charge of breakfast if they had almond milk and she offered me an individual bottle for my coffee, which was also surprisingly good. I did not use their indoor pool, but it seemed popular. Parking was plentiful and included in the price. Overall, a very good visit. read more

My finance and two small children stayed at this hotel for five days. When checking in we were told there was a $75 per night security deposit. When we got to our room the refrigerator was broken and we could not refrigerate the food & drinks we bought for the children. We notified reception several times of the issue and no one came to fix it. They completely ignored our requests which resulted in food spoilage. We were busy trying to visit family over the holiday at the same time. When we checked out we reminded them that our requests for someone to fix the refrigerator were completely ignored. And there was no apology or regard whatsoever from the staff. Later that day, I received the bill via email showing there was an additional $48 parking fee to park in the lot which they never told us about. We didn't even park there every night. I called the manager and assistant manager to address this issue along with the refrigeration issue that resulted in spoilage. I left a total of six messages and both of them never bothered to return my calls. The staff at this place is very dismissive of guests and completely ignored us altogether. this is by far the worst stay I've experienced and I been to some bad hotels, I'm disabled with a medical condition, I was staying for a wake, I couldn't sleep because there was a party going on and ppl smoking weed, had i had medical episode I would've had a lawsuit, me and my aunt contacted the manager name Ken we addressed the issues and he said he would fix it, well he didn't when we would call back he would always be in a meeting, we called several times and got the run around, we called back and got someone else from higher up and this lady said we'll mail you out a check welp never got it, we called back for them to say you booked with a third party but couldn't never tell me who it was but offered points, I would never go to this hotel again they have an infestation of ants on the first floor as well as never having any ice. all the ppl I've encountered with are just horrible and they won't give you your money back. read more

Google I have been staying at this Hilton hotel for over 7 years. This hotel keeps getting better and better (which is rare these days). The rooms are clean and ALWAYS meet and or exceed the Hilton standard. Willie and Angie are 100% on point with customer service and make every customer feel welcomed, not rushed with questions and incredibly friendly. I have to say.. this last stay, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel snack/convenience store was stocked with the best selection of goods I have seen in any Hilton I have ever stayed in. My understanding is that Tristan was the team member that made this happen. From someone that travels often for work and is often disappointed with what is offered by the hotel in regards to food and drink options...it makes a HUGE difference. Poor management charged me a smoking fee when I know for a fact I did not smoke in the room. Swore they had evidence, and claimed to use hvac to clean room. Very upset as I only purchased this room to get some sleep in a comfortable bed as my bed at home was ruined by plumbing accident. Arrived at the room around 2:30am, warmed and ate my food, and as I got in bed I notice a stain on the sheets. At this point it is 3:30am, and a stain was the least of my worry. I put sheets back and laid on top of towel until I checked out at 9:30am. Why on God's earth would I smoke in a room when I was barely there for 7hours max. I travel constantly, and use this brand hotel on many occasions. I will certainly give credit where credit is due, and this hotel dropped the ball on top notch customer service. While I was using the bathroom, I saw a bed bug in the corner of the bathroom near the bath tub. Front desk staff Samantha apologized but did not seemed concerned that the hotel had bed bugs. No questions asked or no attempt to inspect the room or even look at the evidence I had. Bed bugs are a serious matter and an apology just isn't enough. I was in and out of the hotel within 15 minutes. Manager Jenny and Samatha both informed me that pest control needs to "assess" the room before I hear from the hotel about how to move forward. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this is a bed bug. Save your money and stay elsewhere. read more

1. We first arrived around 5pm. Go to check in the systems are down therefore we had to wait for an employee to escort each guests to there room as no key could be provided until the morning. Also, we specifically asked if "turkey" products were served for breakfast and told yes. However, pork was served the entire weekend..NOT EVERYONE EAT PORK!! If that's the case there should be two meat choices!! 2. The next day as were going out to run errands and approached the front desk the young lady is at the desk with a plate eating in the opening. We told her that the cleaning crew was on the floor but didn't come to our room. Is it possible to get fresh towels. She said you didn't request room service in advance. We said any other hotel you don't have to request in advance for room service. She then said "not here" as she continued to eat her chicken & rice with an attitude and very rude. It then had a fight about to breakout at breakfast over food because of not being properly stocked. The manager was trying to get food out as fast as she could but it was only small portions at time for the amount of guest waiting (unprepared/unorganized) 3.In reaching out to corporate and getting feedback from the hotel they refuse to compensate us properly for the multiple ROOMS we had. They decided points was a valid compensation which those points doesn't add up to half of what we spent for this madness. NEVER KNOWN HILTON TO RUN BUSINESS THIS WAY! read more

Just spent one night here on our way from Maine to Brooklyn. We arrived close to midnight. Check in was smooth and easy. We all fell asleep immediately on their very comfortable beds and didn't stir until 7:30 the next morning. Great shower pressure and the complimentary continental breakfast had quite a great selection. I want to give the breakfast selection a little more love, as I read some criticism in past reviews. There was definitely a large carb load offered (cereals, muffins, danish AND a waffle machine), but there were also omelettes, sausage, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. The coffee was solid and there was an expansive selection of teas. Super friendly staff. Would definitely stay again in the future! read more

I'm rating this 1 star because I can't rate 0 to start off I am very familiar with Hamptons I've been staying in them almost every vacation. I picked this hotel because my wife has never been to NYC and this wasn't to far from the city and was in my price range so I booked a king sized bed for around 1000 for 5 nights when I arrived after a 12 hour drive I was surprised with a 375$ hold that needed to be placed on my card that wasn't mentioned on the Hilton app and was continued to be surprised when they said there would be a parking fee of 16$ a night now mind you I understand that different hotels have different policies but there was no mention of any of these fees on the website or app so I had no time to plan for it so the money had to come out of my vacation fund. I was also treated very rudely by the staff while they informed me of these "fees" the supervisor proceeded to tell me "well if you'll leave we will just keep your money" and "if you break anything we will keep the 375$" which didn't sit well with me at all upon entering my room I was greeted with an average Hampton room with suspicious red streaks on the bathroom wall and stained sheets and half used roll of toilet paper on a broken TP holder as well as a dirty ice bin it looked like old food this wasn't ideal especially since they felt the need to hold 400$ my wife went to adjust the AC and the entire front of the unit fell off hitting my foot upon closer inspection it had been crudely fixed with a single screw into the foam of the unit just waiting to fall off. I decided that I would like to relax in the hot tub and try to turn this hotel stay around I get to the pool and my card wouldn't open the door confused I went to the front desk where I was rudely informed that I need to sign in and be let it the pool which apparently closes at 9 which after a long day in the city there is not enough time in the day to relax in the water before it closes upon entering I was told there was no hot tub but the pool water is warm and to end this experience at 8:55 I was told I need to leave The next couple days were not great either the breakfast the next morning tasted old and out of date and gave me and my wife bowel issues which lead to more issues for example they rationed toilet paper like the shortages from 2020 were still happening they only would put one in our bathroom and if we still had some they would not put extra so that plus the bowel issues equaled being constantly out of toilet paper so I called the front desk and asked for three for the last 3 nights I was then questioned over the phone "what do you need three for? It's against our policy to give more than 1" so I reluctantly said fine and can you please send it up which I was told "you'll have to come get it yourself" I'm on the third floor and it was an emergency so this was a major inconvenience I also want to mention that the ice machines on floors 4 and 3 were not operational so we had to go to floors 2 and 1 to retrieve ice for the room overall the hotel is a pretty basic Hampton but the staff treated me and my wife so rudely throughout our stay, I recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation read more

Room looks very badly worn out, furniture very worn out, not in best condition and dusty looking, surprising for a Hiilton-affiliated hotel. Room did not look like was sanitized AT ALL or cleaned as best could with covid precautions. When self-sanitized room, found many dusty and not-sanitized areas on furniture. Rooms can be cleaned with overnight scheduling. Tech for business use (places to plug & charge) not great or best available. Ceiling above shower was cracked and peeling and floor of shower space looked yellow and mildew-y. Shelf that holds towels in bathroom worn and very dusty looking. Compared to Marriott Courtyard stayed at before this, Courtyard is better unfortunately. read more

We took the shuttle .3 miles to an Italian restaurant the hotel recommended. Said to call when we were ready to return. We tried - TWICE. Brenda put us on hold for over 30 minutes as we tried to simply request the shuttle. Finally gave up on her and used an uber for the .3 mile ride back. Without my 85 year old in-laws i would have walked! Unfortunately Brenda has set the tone for my visit. I'll not ask the staff for anything. Stayed here because I had business in Westchester County. This past Monday, I left my room (#102) at 8:45 am and arrived back around 5:45 pm. When I got to my door, I saw that it was not completely closed. I freaked out and when I entered, I saw that housekeeping had been there. I could not immediately find my laptop that I had left in the room. I tried to call the front desk. I stopped counting at 19 rings because the phone call dropped. Tried again and at 15 rings it was picked up. The front desk person said someone would be right over. Many minutes later, I had to call again and finally the housekeeping supervisor came. She left shortly, saying she was getting a higher-up manager. While she was gone, I found my laptop and called the front desk to tell them so. There was no further contact from anyone from the hotel. The bigger picture is that housekeeping did not properly close my door and my property was exposed to anyone who noticed my door being ajar. I checked out the following morning, and in gathering my things together I noticed that a stack of quarters I had on the bedside table earlier in my stay was missing (about $1.50 worth). At the front desk, I explained the door situation to the desk personnel but she, unfortunately, kept talking over me. I also mentioned that I believe housekeeping helped themselves to my parking change! Suffice to say, service was underwhelming. If you're searching for an empty retro horror vintage type scene, this is the hotel for you. Upon walking in it's like you've checked into The Overlook Hotel from The Shining, oh what a classic. What is not classic is the smell of pure agony in the air and rooms. I've slept in haunted motels cleaner than this hotel. They do have a little section next to concierge which hosts overpriced and dusty snacks along with a microwave one can only assume let's out actual radioactive waves just by looking at it. You could not pay me to believe they have a cleaning crew as literally everything in this hotel is dirty and hairy beyond belief. They should be ashamed and truly hire more people but the right people to clean this place up, someone that will actually do their job. In conclusion, both rooms that I checked into one dirtier than the other were infested with beetle like lady bug mutated whatever and staff did not care one bit. Non smoking hotel and we just so happened to be posted near the smoking guest section on the third floor so that was also great. The hallways could use the smell of smoke to suffocate the bugs invading it. read more

We were 4 adults and a baby. We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate my birthday and go to a wedding in the city. Friendly and attentive work staff. They gave us free waters every time we asked for them. The girls that cleaned our rooms were also very nice and gave us everything we asked for. The breakfast was delicious. They kept everything full and clean. I especially loved the mango peach fresh pressed juice, the mango smoothies and the waffles. We also enjoyed the coffee all night although it wasn't always fresh. The indoor pool was very nice with a shower on the side. The parking area was close-by and very convenient. We had a very nice stay and I can't stress enough how nice the staff was. Will definitely stay here again. Also, there is a gas station within walking distance and Walgreens and CVS down the street that is not within walking distance. read more
