I went to an event here. The place is lovely inside. The food came out late, and I am not sure if that was by the planners or in general. The food was quite good when it came out. The food was table by table and we were one of the last ones to have been served. The waiters were personable and nice. We had our daughter's Quinceanera at Westchester Manor in July, and her birthday was a wonderful success. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully arranged and thoughtfully handled. The staff were all so kind. We went here for the first time for a sweet 16 party. The place is beautiful, and food was equally delicious. I had many appetizers ranging from crabcakes to mini Rubens to rice balls and teriyaki meatballs. All of them were outstanding, and the servers were very nice and on the ball bringing the different appetizers around. Each table was served baked clams, cold antipasto, and fried calamari, all of which were excellent. We had a choice of pasta: linguine with clam sauce or rigatoni Pomodoro. Both pastas were absolutely fresh and delicious. The pasta tasted homemade. As an entrée, I ordered the steak with the frizzled onions,mashed potatoes and string beans. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as I had asked the onions are nice and crunchy on top and the string beans and mashed potatoes were a perfect accompaniment. John the owner was very professional, anything we needed he made sure we were taken care of. I didn't hire a florist, so any decor I either rented or made myself, John and the staff were kind enough to set everything up for us, which we really appreciated! John Gresia, the owner, is exceptional. My husband and I had our wedding here on July 9, 2021. We rescheduled 3x because of the pandemic and he was flexible throughout the year. He's responsive to phone calls and emails. The food is amazing and our guests could not get over it . John and the chef have been working together for many years and really know their way around the kitchen. Had our daughters wedding in 2015. They updated the place last year. It's contemporary. The cocktail hour was one of the best we have ever had. They ranged from fresh mozzarella balls hand made to shrimps, pizza, ribs and so much more. The food was delicious. I had my wedding here on June 20, 2015. Let me start by saying, I absolutely loved this place. It's a small venue, but it was perfect because we were having 160 people, and I wanted it to feel intimate. I worked with Enrico, who is the owner of the place, and he couldn't have been more helpful. He answered all of our questions, put to rest all of our concerns, and was there with us every step of the way. He went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was a total success. The staff here in general is absolutely amazing. Carmen, who is the bridal attendant, was my shadow. She fixed my dress when it needed fixing, she carried my dress up and down the stairs, she brought me whatever I asked for, made sure I ate, cleaned my dress when I dropped a little sauce on it and was just there whenever I needed her. She is AMAZING. Fernando (I'm not sure what his title was, but I believe they were calling him a captain) is AMAZING. He made sure everything went smoothly in the kitchen. And he was also managing the crepe station making delicious crepes for our Venesian hour. We did not have alcohol at our wedding, so we opted for the Venesian hour. Enrico surprised us with a HUGE cannoli cake. We had a chocolate foundation, flan, crem brûlée and had 2 crepe stations and MORE. ALL OF IT WAS BEYOND DELICIOUS. My guests were flipping out over all of it. The food in general is absolutely delicious. From cocktail hour ( we had a guy rolling fresh mozzarella cheese) to our main entree's, the food was DELICIOUS. I haven't had food that good at a wedding.... Ever. And I'm not saying that because it was mine. All in all, my experience at Westchester manor was absolutely 5 star and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a beautiful intimate wedding (we had 160 people, and it felt very intimate.) John and his staff could not have been more accommodating. He delivered on everything he promised and then some. I went to an event on April 6 2018, in which I paid $60.00 the event was very nice disco night with dinner. Westchester Manor offered valet parking which was helpful unfortunately my friend gave me the $60.00 for her admission which by mistake was left in the car. The car was already parked when I remembered the $60.00 so at the end of the evening when my car was returned I saw money placed where the $60.00 had been left however the valet employee placed $4.00 and stole the $60.00. I made calls to the valet parking company as well as the manager of Westchester Manor Enrico and was told they would investigate however as of today no one has reached to me. I've been here for Sweet 16's and it wasn't bad, but I went on New Years Eve this year, and it was absolutely horrible. Here's why: First of all, it was $130. The only reason I paid this was because I had no other plans last minute. This included dinner, dancing and open bar, but I still think it was ridiculously overpriced. There were way too many people. I understand that they wanted to make money, but it was so cramped and crowded that you could barely walk through the tables. The cocktail hour was pretty good, but I think there definitely could have been more food and better quality. Overall, not horrible. The worst of all was that they watered down all of our drinks. My whole table had multiple drinks and no one even felt a buzz (not normal for any of us). They even watered down our vodka shots by mixing them with ice!! Then they gave us our pasta, which tasted horrible. I don't know if it was the sauce or what but we all thought it was nasty. Also, they didn't even give us a choice for our entree. They just came out with steak, string beans, a tiny piece of lobster tail, mashed potatoes on top of a baked potato and some other vegetables. I was very upset, being I'm not fond of any of this. What if someone is a vegetarian? They didn't even ask how we wanted our steak (which had fat all over it, by the way). As for the dessert, all we got was a little plate of tiramisu (also not fond it this). For the price we paid they could have at least had a Viennese with a bunch of dessert options. I wouldn't have cared about all of this if the music was at least good, but it was horrible. I was very surprised because DJ Serg is usually great. They didn't play any of the songs we requested and they didn't play a lot of songs you could really dance and sing to. Overall, I would never come here again for an event like this. It was like a really bad wedding with people you don't know. It definitely was not worth the money. read more

Was there for a baby shower event and had a great time overall. The place is a typical banquet hall layout with decent decor and spacious rooms. The food was also your typical banquet hall buffet style options. All was pretty tasty. I would say that the table placed near the exit door was extremely cold and they should do a better job of sealing it off from the outside elements. Folks had to wear coats and sweaters at the table! Wish the bar was larger. It was kind of an after thought at the back of the room. You couldn't really mingle and hang out too much by it. read more

We had our wedding reception at Westchester Manor on July 1, 2017 and there are absolutely no words to fully describe how wonderful they were. From the moment we booked back in January 2015, to the wedding date they were wonderful. They customized our event and menu to cater our need (they added sliders as per our request for hors 'd oeuvre which I suggest it should be on their permanent menu cause they were amazing). Worked with out budget, were fast in responding to emails and phone calls and any question we had. On the wedding date they were spectacular. We came in a little flustered due to the fact that we were running late for everything and they stepped in and attended myself and the bridal party right away. The first person to receive us was Enrico!! who was our banquet manager and ensured that everything was alright. All of our guest raved about their food and drinks as well as the service. I have been to several wedding and very few catering halls I have been attends the guest of the reception with extra care and in addition their food did not taste like typical banquet food, it was more like top notch restaurant food. However ALL of our guest shared how amazing their service was and attended to all of their needs. They were amazing, I trully only have positive things to say about them, and would recommend them to everybody. If we can afford to we would host all of our future events there!!! This review was long overdue and I apologize for the delay. Last October 5th (2019) we had our neighborhood reunion at the Westchester Manor. To say it was a HUGE success was an understatement! Anyone who has ever run an event like this for over 300ppl can attest to the amount of work that goes into it long before the night of the event. For those reasons we were fortunate that we chose the Manor and had the greater fortune of dealing with their manager John Gresia. John could not have been anymore accommodating and gracious throughout the entire experience! From the food tastings, to his availability to answer all our questions, John was awesome. We were treated wonderfully from the beautiful outdoor cocktail hour under the tent, the scrumptious appetizers and carving station, to the delicious choices of main courses and desserts! Not to mention the top shelf liquor and the many choices of beer (domestic and imported) and wine. John also surprised us with a few generous throw ins that were over the top! I think this place is an excellent value and a wonderful venue for smaller (80-150 people) and budget conscious weddings. What is more important (and often overlooked in the wedding planning process) is that the venue appeared to take only one party oat a time. I could be wrong about this as there was an upstairs we did not visit but it appeared to be only one at a time and that added to great service. Cocktail hour is held at a tent outside outfitted with chandeliers and a fountain and attached to the lobby. The food is simple but delicious. I recommend the eggplant. They had seafood, red meat, rice dishes, pastas, and fresh sliced Italian cured meats. Overall there was a good selection of hot and cold options and everyone was stuffed before the party started. Dinner in the ballroom started with a tomato, arugula, mozzarella salad with balsamic. It was good. Both pasta options (vodka and bolognese) was delicious, and the salmon entree was to die for. Overall the cuisine was typical wedding food but nevertheless delicious. Desert was the only downside but it did not matter by that time...we were all happily stuffed. As to decor, I would call it a simple transitional style with more modern chandeliers and lighting fixtures and neutral tones. The bathroom needs some work but it did its job. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful time at this wedding. Food, drink, and service were very good. A-plus! read more
