For a great hotel, this Hampton Inn has it. We booked this hotel for a conference we attended in the area and the procedure for checking in was no issue. I found the location to be in a unique spot, although, it appears to fit well because it's not too close to the busy road which causes no disturbance, and also, right behind Wegmans! The service provided here was no issue for our stay, which is a big plus. The room we got was a decent size, with enough room to fit everything and all of us. It was pretty easy to locate where things were. Something that was a bit of a turn-off for me was, and I'm sure most hotels are like this, the shower containing a curtain. Water drips out onto the floor, making it wet which makes it time-consuming to dry off. It would be awesome to see something addressed about it. Overall, no issues in our room besides that. Breakfast was accommodated well with enough variety to choose from, and enough room to fit people while eating in the room. The food and drinks they had all tasted great and did a wonderful job refilling them when needed. For great service and work, I approve of it and will reserve this hotel again in the future.

Workers more interested in drinking the wine and tequila on the top shelf than working or being nice to you

Very disappointed Diamond member and will not repeat! Only bright spot was the wegmans that was 50 feet from the hotel Front desk doesn't even acknowledge your status Doesn't know the basics like I get a measly bottle of water and snack for the amount of money I give Hilton a year Act like you are bothering them when you are checking in or at the desk to ask a question Garbage cans all overflowing at 9:00am, rooms smell My room was left with an empty tissue box and half a roll of toilet paper Breakfast bar was terrible and left unattended most of the time and empty for long periods Terrible! You can do Better See photos I added below

First we get in the room and it smells like someone was smoking crack in the room. Then I go shower and there is pubs in the shower! The ceiling has water damage. The pillows have no cases. We asked for towels because there is 3 of us and they told us there aren't any extra towels. Shame on you if other hotels nearby weren't booked I would've left. I only came for a nights stay and will never come again.

    More water than oatmeal

Diamond member here for Hampton and haven't had this shabby a room in a long time. Bathroom wasn't clean. Toilet paper roll had two sheets left on it. Fortunately they left a spare roll. Also had a plunger next to the toilet with toilet paper on it. The mirror over the sink wasn't clean. When I took my shower in the morning the water backed up in the tub. A ring of dead skin cells accumulated around the edge. Obviously they aren't cleaning the tub between customers very well. Opened the closet and was greeted by the iron corn hanging to the floor. The dresser under the TV had hairs on it much longer then mine. Breakfast wasn't any better. At 7 am the oatmeal in the pot was half water. The eggs looked like the powder the were likely made from all diced up in little pieces. This is also a wooden structure so you will hear footsteps. They can't change it but just GE aware. Construction is underway. I got the last parking place in the lot and because of rain in the morning it was flooded. I had to jump the moat to get in my I spoke with management and they comped the room. I'll stay at Hampton but not this one.

    Dated room

This place is awful. Dated, old and dirty. Mattresses are awful, they sink literally 6" down when you sit on them. No fridge or microwave like most Hamptons. This is NOT a typical Hampton and is a disgrace to the Hampton Brand. Non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. Beware for allergy sufferers. RUN AWAY from this hotel and go elsewhere. Plus the surrounding area is either the freeway or the back of Wegmans grocery store or a self-storage facility. Hallways are updated with new carpet, but rooms are not.

This usually good hotel is under construction and is a train wreck. Elevator makes a loud bang, which they say is ok. Stay away for now.

The restaurant was great. My husband had a steak he loved, the boys had chicken strips and fries, and macaroni and cheese, (although I do recommend to the hotel to get rid of the black bowls that you serve Mac and cheese to kids in, it's weird to them....looks like a witches brew) and I ordered the portobello ravioli, but I didn't get to eat it hot due to the kids. Looked delish though! We went to the pool, which was nice and clean, and they had plenty of extra towels. This was the only part of our stay. The lady asking us to sign in, was extremely bossy, and pissy towards everyone there. She walked through the pool several times yelling at people about where they were allowed to sit, or what floats they were allowed to use. Slamming containers as she put them away and putting the lock on it. Everyone in the pool was talking about it, all 8 or 9 of us she was trying to treat like Privates. My high ranking husband in the military, nor I, appreciated her superiority complex. She needs to be in another department that doesn't deal with people, but I'd bet my last dollar she's organized and on time. We had an extra cot brought up for the grands, and the man that brought it up treated the kids like royalty. They've not been to many nice hotels anyway, so this was an adventure in their hometown. So special to this Mama Lu that they slept like angels. I choose DoubleTree every time it's available to me because the pillows and bed are a guaranteed great night sleep, every single time, no matter the location.

I need my sleep so I chose Tru by Hilton Binghamton Vestal. I'm basing my hotel selection on: Free Breakfast Colorful lobby Smoking is permitted out front After checking in, I pretty much hung my clothes and went out to dinner. After dinner, I went back to the hotel and lit up a nice cigar. The next morning, I woke up refreshed. The bed was comfortable, the shower products were very good but this hotel doesn't believe in giving out bar soap? Yeah.. I travel with a bar from L'Occitane so these silly rules don't apply to me. I woke up, poured myself a cup of coffee from the free breakfast bar. I see families coming down and enjoying the breakfast selections. I'm sure they're here for a graduation or visiting a student. Nice hotel, I would stay here again. *If I see a beer keg, I'm pouring myself some of your beer while I smoke.

Leading up to graduation this year, sadly, my mother passed away - we had a room reserved for her which we, obviously, sought to cancel. Apparently, Hilton, and specifically this trash-bag of a property, feel that my mother should have died sooner to avoid having to pay a cancelation fee. My apologies that my mother DIED at an inconvenient time for you - so much so that I am now out over 600 dollars to cancel a room which you were able to turn around an IMMEDIATELY sell again. Hilton hotels will never see another dollar of my money - and this hotel in particular, and it's clown of a general manager, can both go pound sand. I TRULY hope that you end up being taken advantage of due to the death of someone close to you so that you will understand what an absolute piece of garbage you were in this situation. Screw this property, and Hilton in general - this is not the last that this will be heard of.

Literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed at…read more I went there for a family wedding. As soon as we arrived, we had to wait because they could not find our reservation which wasn't ideal as we needed to quickly change in order to get to the wedding. A moment later, another guest came down to tell the staff that he went into the room they had assigned him and guests were already in there, so he walked in on them! I then noticed my cousins sitting in the cafeteria area next to the front desk and asked them why they were out there. Turns out they got locked out of their room - their key card stopped working - and the front desk was trying to figure it out. They had already switched rooms the night prior because the first room they were put in had no hot water and a leaky ceiling. Once we got into our room it smelled like cigarettes, and I found dirt on the carpet, a white stain on the bedspread, and short hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor near the toilet. Towels had yellow tinge to them. We opted not to shower and my mom actually slept in her sleeping bag on top of the covers. We also found an empty hotel-branded envelope on the TV stand with a woman's name written on it Clearly whoever turned down the room didn't pay much attention. When we arrived back to the hotel after the wedding, there was a ton of white powder on the floor outside of one of the other rooms and a vacuum next to it. In the morning, the vacuum was gone but the powder was still there. The elevator was dismal and had no fire/emergency panel/signs. Other family members noted they had issues with the elevator closing very abruptly, and opted to take the stairs (which had a "caution wet stairs" on the stairwell door). Also worth mentioning that the room door does not automatically close. It stays open unless you pull it closed behind you. I thought it was a requirement that hotel doors automatically shut behind you for safety reasons. Every person I spoke to who stayed there had nothing but terrible things to say about it. STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

The outside of the hotel and the area are another story but was glad about the room condition. Also the breakfast is a total joke....there was barely any fruit, two yogurts left and a few packaged muffins and some cereal as well as juice. That was it-no bread either! Plan to get your own breakfast in the morning. We had no major issues during our stay.
