Just a mediocre stay for me! The AC unit is loud and will likely disrupt your sleep if you sleep light. My room had dust and dead bugs on the AC unit when I arrived. There were also active gnats in the bathroom. The shower door opened on its' own every time I showered so I had to keep shutting it mid-shower. Also note that in the summer, shops nearby aren't open every day(definitely closed on mondays). On a positive the rooms are spacious! read more

This is a great hotel. Reasonably priced, perfectly located, amazing breakfast, nice lounge area inside and out, bar, pool, hot tub, mountain view. I enjoyed waking up to the sunrise over the mountains, sitting out by the pool at night and the day, breakfast options were plentiful, lounge space was comfortable and ample to get work done, and there was a nice crowd enjoying the bar area at night. The hot tub was really relaxing at night. Front desk staff was kind and accommodating. You can walk right out the door into town. Truly so happy I stayed here. What a carefree town! read more

This was a predictable place. Hampton is not exactly the flagship of the Hilton group and this was no exception. Everything was a strong 3, from the check-in to the breakfast. Notably, we had to wait for our room to "be checked by the head housekeeper", who apparently missed the fact that there was orange mildew in the shower and the tissue box was empty. The breakfast was OK, little prefab omelets and shoe leather sausage patties. The young woman behind the desk seemed bored and did not regularly greet guests as they passed. I have attached a couple of photos to show the obvious mold and our workaround for the missing tissues. Caveat emptor. read more

From check in to the breakfast before we left...everything went flawlessly. The woman at the front desk had a great attitude & even recommended a place over the hill for us to have dinner at. The next day we were pleasantly surprised with all the offerings at breakfast. The stations were fully stocked & plenty of places to sit & enjoy our meal. The room was comfortable & very clean. Definitely would stay here again:) read more

*I did not stay here. My review is based solely off of one employee and the interactions my coworkers and I had with her* Our team held a meeting/training in one of their various conference rooms. I just wanted to say that HEIDI really went above and beyond for the needs of us. Even as much as letting me store my redbull and another coworkers food in the employee refrigerator because there was not one accessible to us. Within the couple of hours I was there she was attentive, friendly and very welcoming. Oh and they had a this scorpion thing in the front of the hotel. Sorry Hampton Inn but I had too I believe that it is some sort of splash pad thing and water is supposed to flow through the structure but the button didn't work and no water was connected. Still cool though! *edit* I went back and removed my photos because I did not want my face plastered at the top of this page as I am not any sort of face for this hotel. It is a bummer that this is one of the only hotels in frontier town, Cave Creek. The service here was terrible and it was a challenge to ever speak to anyone on the phone. The manager cancelled multiple wedding guests rooms the day before my wedding around 2:00pm. We got married 0.75 from the hotel and we recommended this hotel to our guests. The manager cancelled them on Friday. I had guests out of state staying there. The manager blamed his system, but didn't try to work anything out with me. It was very stressful to deal with the day before my wedding. Breakfast was mediocre. Hotel was okay. There was a lot of trash in the hallway and overflowing trash cans throughout the hotel. read more

Hotel is dirty and front desk is extremely rude. Hallway floors dirty with lots of spots. Room wasn't clean. Brought in wipes to clean. They need to take a class on how to treat people who stay at their hotel. It could make all the difference. read more

The Hampton, Carefree is the best Hampton I've ever stayed at! Has all the amenities with stunning desert views, a great pool area and walking distance to lots of charming shops and eateries. Yikes. An eye store to America's largest sundial. Went to relax by the sundial recently, a beautiful structure encompassed by the striking views of carefree, and I was completely flabbergasted and dismayed to see a massive Hampton inn as the sundial's new backdrop. What in the world were they thinking? No idea how this building passed permitting in such a pretty and unique town. read more

New hotel, check in at 4. Room not ready until after 5:40 pm. told a room with a balcony... no balcony. shower door would not stay closed. no hot water and the morning breakfast was never stocked. server brought out bacon uncooked so I placed it in the wall for iron to crisp it and she came out and yelled at me in front of other guests. reported to the manager and she said sorry we are short staffed. NO EXCUSE I asked to have her Manager speak to me, Shaun, he never reached out. read more

Newly built in 2022. We visited a couple times. Great location for family and visitors. Close to Cave Creek. A must see in AZ.

We booked a room for 3 nights with two beds a pull out couch also a balcony. Instead we got two beds no balcony and not pull out couch. Went back to our room after staying one night and they kicked us out of our room, all of our stuff was packed and put it by the front door and didn't give us a refund when we asked for one. read more

The property itself is lovely - great breakfast, friendly employees, excellent location . . . . BUT BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BOOK ONLINE!! I booked our reservation for 2 nights on Hampton Inn - Carefree website directly. I did NOT use a 3rd party booking site. We received a confirmation text message saying that we were pre-paid. Unfortunately, we arrived after midnight and were told they did not have our reservation. They gave us a room and told us to sort it out in the morning with the manager then. When we went to talk to them, they said that they did not have our reservation (even though we showed them the confimation text) and then said they had something from "travelweb". We explained that we booked the room through THEIR website directly and were told "Ya - sometimes that happens."! We were then charged AGAIN through Hampton. When I called the hotel, they said there was nothing they could do - even though they knew we only stayed 2 nights - and we were recommended to contact Hilton corporate. When I called and tried to explain the situation to Robert at Hilton, he was extremely rude and treated me like I was lying about booking directly with their site. I explained that if their website was redirecting people to a 3rd party booking (The page looked just like a Hampton Inn booking page and I was never redirected when I was booking) that might be a problem with their website. He responded to me with "Why would we do that - we have our own booking site". He assigned my a case # and said I would be contacted in 3-5 business days and basically hung up on me. I notice someone else made a comment about a problem booking online. Obviously, this is a problem and Hilton is unwilling to deal with it. This has been a completely unacceptable handling of this situation and I am hopeful Hilton will make this right! read more

not sure where to start I travel frequently I am a Hilton honors member silver I must say the whole system today was very rude uncaring uncompromising and these people didn't care if I slept in my car all because I was late to check in they charged me and canceled my reservation I have never been treated so poorly in my life when I asked the customer service rep at Hilton headquarters he said looks like there's nothing we can do you should've called should've called from the side of the road broken down worried about my trip yes sir OK well guess what maybe you'll be OK in this neck of the woods because people are used to being treated like crap but me and my organization will stay somewhere else good luck Hilton oh by the way can't wait to cancel my membership read more
