    Shower

This was a predictable place. Hampton is not exactly the flagship of the Hilton group and this was no exception. Everything was a strong 3, from the check-in to the breakfast. Notably, we had to wait for our room to "be checked by the head housekeeper", who apparently missed the fact that there was orange mildew in the shower and the tissue box was empty. The breakfast was OK, little prefab omelets and shoe leather sausage patties. The young woman behind the desk seemed bored and did not regularly greet guests as they passed. I have attached a couple of photos to show the obvious mold and our workaround for the missing tissues. Caveat emptor.

Really nice, clean hotel with comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Only down fall was that the bar doesn't open til evening.

Newly built in 2022. We visited a couple times. Great location for family and visitors. Close to Cave Creek. A must see in AZ.

Everyone I encountered was kind and helpful. I did not use the spa, but I used the Labyrinth. This was an experience that was Amazing and Healing! The Spirit of Healing is Alive and Available there, for anyone who is open to receiving it. At the Labyrinth, it felt like an old wise forgotten teacher was pleased that a willing student had arrived, and was eager to guide me. My casita was wonderful and I was comfortable for my entire stay. For breakfast I highly recommend the Grotto Cafe in Cave Creek. Specifically their Red Truck Burrito with Southwest potatoes! Travel Tip: Hide a key card outside your casita or never take one off of your person, as I had a nice little night hike in my pajamas to the guard gate! Apparently I wanted to enjoy the beautiful stars! Thank you to the Boulders Resort.

The standalone Casita was STUNNING and we really enjoyed that space. Plus, the grounds were really beautiful. My issues were the pool customer service, food experience, and the inability to walk through the property comfortably. The pool service SUCKED. Our food was missing items that the menu said it included, the drinks were awful and didn't even come with straws, even though everyone else had straws, and there was a very disruptive family in the pool who were loud and splashing water all over the outside of the pool. At one point, they splashed us and the water got all over our food. The staff member was literally talking to us when it happened and didn't do anything about out. When the pool has a very disruptive group, the staff deal with it. The food sucked. We went to the Spotted Donkey for my wife's birthday and the food was disgusting. Soggy tacos, pre packaged rice, a totally disappointing experience and they didn't even acknowledge her birthday even though I included it on the reservation. That was a very disappointing experience. We enjoy walking resort properties and it just wasn't set up for that. You need to request a golf cart to go anywhere and some of the drivers weren't very friendly. We will absolutely not be back.

Think adobe chic meets spa catalog. Casitas sprawl across the Sonoran landscape like they were dropped from a helicopter and told to blend in. Inside, everything is cooled, cushioned, and curated -- a million miles away from the fact you're technically in the middle of nowhere. Step outside your casita and there's a saguaro cactus giving you the side-eye, wondering why you're paying $25 for avocado toast when it grows for free right next to you. The pool is basically an oasis, complete with cabanas that make you forget Scottsdale is basically Phoenix in a nicer shirt. The spa? You'll get massaged, exfoliated, and moisturized until you feel like a well-polished golf ball. And of course, Troon North golf course looms in the background -- a lush green playground carved out of desert that makes golfers weep with joy and water conservationists weep with rage. This is the Four Seasons -- you could walk in dressed like a hungover rodeo clown and they'd still treat you like visiting royalty (we were). Staff float around like desert ninjas, topping off your drinks, folding your towels, and politely ignoring your questionable SPF choices. The poolside margaritas are $22, but don't worry -- they come with a complimentary identity crisis. Four Seasons Scottsdale isn't hospitality, it's hostility against your bank account. (because let's face it, you're not here to save money, you're here to buy bragging rights). The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is above average, over the top, and exactly what happens when luxury colonizes the desert and wins. Funny thing is, you'll leave broke but refreshed -- which is kind of the Four Seasons brand in a nutshell.

My experience at the Tumbleweed has me questioning myself now. This is a family run hotel. It was an adventure from the time I entered the registration office until I left. Gary and Jeri readily agreed to share their history with the Tumbleweed. Quickly one realizes that the twelve years they have owned this business has been a labor of love. Gary artistically creates much of the furniture in the rooms. Each room has a completely different personality. Jeri has added just the right deco and touch to each room. I loved that the deco is clean and crisp without a clutter feel. This was the first time I have felt as though I should take off my shoes so as not to track in. Spotlessly clean and crisp. Plush linens and relaxing colors make for perfection. The rooms are very spacious and the feel of a small studio. A positive about the building is that the design is that of bricks. The bricks provide a great sound barrier from adjoining rooms. The hotel rooms are facing in a way that road noise is not noticeable. I was given a tour of the grounds. The casitas that rent by night, week or month are a total surprise. You have to see them to appreciate the small details that make them so special. My favorite is the pool area. The pool is crystal clear, deck area inviting and maintained better than any I have experienced at a major chain hotel. A special bonus is a barbecue and picnic area available for guests. It is my suggestion that if you are considering visiting this hotel you make it a destination visit. Check in at the appropriate time, relax at the pool, bring your dinner to barbecue and visit the surrounding businesses. I love that one can park near their room and that the rooms have outside entrances. Be sure to bring your camera.

The owner Rebecca has terrible customer service, will not return messages and says they have a vintage shop at hotel but it's not open to the public certain times of the year and relies on employees to ship items even though her Etsy shop does not say shipping only As I see others have had the same issues. I would not recommend giving them any credit card info or paying up front for items they wont give you info or message back even.
