Haven't stayed here yet, but we checked it out the other day. We'll be staying here in August for our anniversary. Wow!! What a nice course!! I heard a lot about it and wanted to give it a try as it's about the same costs as the Dove Valley course down the road. The fairways and greens were really nice. It's a challenging course with a few narrow fairways. The Marshall was super nice and gave of a few pointers on several holes as he knew it was our first time golfing there. This was our second time hotel-ing during off-season here. Also our second time loving it! We did more excursions in town preventing swimming pool time,but did get to (gas) grill and hottub it one time. Upgraded wall mounted tv screens meant the need for less dressers in the bedrooms (or was that a money move, I see you guys!); missed also were the sitting chair in the bedroom corner. Additional outlets near the end tables by the bed would be great as well. Other than that, staying here was a treat, with the hope of other visits in the future! read more

We went shopping in Cave Creek today and wanted to stop and have a drink on the patio at Rancho Mañana because it has a beautiful view. This was 3:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and it was not crowded. We were not allowed in the patio unless we ordered a meal. Inside there were lots of tables and chairs, but since it was such a beautiful day, we really didn't want to sit inside. Our solution was to just leave and go elsewhere. We were sad though because we like this place and would like to have had a drink there. I don't quite understand the policy when there are empty tables and presumably you would like to have the business. read more

We had a group of 12 on a golf getaway. One of our golfer friends used a broker to arrange tee times at various courses. We played here this past Wednesday. Prior to arriving in Scottsdale it had been raining. We were concerned it'd be cart path only. Sure enough it was. Fortunately this is a short course. Having said that it's a very challenging course. Lots of hazards. And up and down. Plenty of cacti. We all enjoyed the course. Driving here felt like we were in the Old West. And the pro shop carried that same feeling. read more

Clean! Roomy! Awesome service! Do it guys! Book it. It was well worth it. My kids said it was like glamping! Lol we felt far away enough from Phoenix to feel like we were away. But it was just an hour away from home. The rooms are spacious. The bathrooms are great. The tvs are dated and I'm sure they will upgrade those soon. The kitchen was great. I did a lot of cooking the 2 days we stayed. The only thing I wished was the pool to be bigger. We're kinda spoiled with resort pools and this was tiny. Luckily it wasn't too crowded the weekend we went. Will definitely be back tho! read more

Don't come here if you want to bomb drives and have short chip shots from level lies into flat greens; This is golf; You have to hit to a position. That position is where your personal A-game lets you get onto the appropriate portion of the green; There are A, B, & C positions on the green. You pick. You miss then you have to recover with your recovery game; Putting is a premium here. Ok, enough on the golf. This is one of the pricey winter AZ golf courses. However, at this golf course customer service is premium. Everyone from the pro shop, to the starter, to the marshal, beverage lady, and golf cart attendees all really want you to have a good time. Rooms are nice and roomy. However, if you rely on internet service BEWARE. I am attaching a screen shot of the typical speed achieved through our entire stay. During our stay, I was told they were having "trouble" with the service. When checking out I was told "we have really really bad service here." I got no offer of a refund for "service fee" charges. Great place to stay. We have been coming here for many years and it's a fantastic place to relax and just rest. We did however have an issue recently that involved a group of people who were staying here and were highly intoxicated and very inappropriate. Management was alerted and took care of the issue best they could. It was a real mess and the people were embarrassing to say the least. It did ruin alit for us since we only stay here a few days to get away from stupid people like that. Management did the best they could. This was the first time something like this ever happened. Management did remove our respite fees that was nice of them to do but this did ruin the whole night because the group was yelling around the resort and out of control. Thanks for doing your best with people like this. Maybe next time they get removed all together for what they did. read more

Not baby or little kid friendly. I couldn't put the baby down except in the bedroom (it had carpet), everywhere else is hard rock floor. I was afraid the toddler would slip and get hurt. I wish there was at least a rug in the living room area. I also prefer my floors with an even surface and the beds less squeaky. I was actually impressed at first. The casita is large, the furnishings are nice. Then I realized our unit really needed some maintenance. A couple windows were broken and taped, there was a big crack across several tiles in the floor, one of the sinks had a handle that didn't work, and one of the bathroom toilets wouldn't stop running. read more

No towels at the pool, the courtyard smells like sewage and check out is 10 am with no extensions granted. Not a nice experience for 300 dollars a night. Update: We ended up having additional troubles including the pool heater being broken the pool dirty and no lights in the very dark parking lot and walkways. I may sound like I'm being nit picky but we arrived to a nice diamond resort hotel at 8pm on my birthday just myself and my young kids. We hoped for a nice time weekend getaway with the pool and some sun but that wasn't possible, that was the Real kicker. However, we made the best of it and fortunately the hotel management recognized the issues and were very accommodating. Including allowing us to play games in the lobby seating area since no swimming was avail and the restaurant didn't open till 11am at the resort but check out was 10am DOH. In the end all in all we would like to give I it a try again after a remodel/slight improvement of a few things. PROS: The rooms were lovely and the beds quite comfortable. The restaurant had delicious food and a beautiful view of the golf course. read more

Two thumbs up!! Some of the coolest, nicest Casitas in AZ, super well appointed units, Viking appliances, spacious and clean. Beautiful grounds and a short walk to Tontos bar and grill. One of our favorite restaurants around. Sitting outside is a must! Cool bar area for just drinks and chilling out. The town of Cave Creek has sooo much great and unique shopping to offer. As well as breakfast and lunch spots as well as dinner. Horseback rides at sunset are memories you'll cherish forever @Spur cross ranch. read more

This is the quintessential Arizona place to stay. The accommodations are spacious and clean. The view is spectacular..:the grounds beautifully kept and lush. The location is fabulous. My Unit was perfect for me and for my adult children. The grilling area with the outdoor fireplace was lovely. I even enjoyed the family of Javelinas that strolled in nightly from the golf course. Ring Ring - Hello reservation for four please, overlooking the mountains and the golf course please. We have room for four but not on the course side. OK well thanks for 6:30 please. I wanted to see Rancho Manana and look at the condo's here for sale for a 2nd place. Never got to see the property. When we arrived - we were seated at the window against the outside wall just not in the tent that was set up outside. Perfect - Hello I am Mary and I will look after you. Wine list yes please (I shouted - it had been a long week). Then I saw that my dear friends were not going to order wine as the wife has been battling cancer since 2003 and the drugs and wine - well you get it. Then Mary saw this on Lorene's face and her cancer wig too and with that before I could even say a thing Mary said - why don't we save our wine money for a couple great desserts. As she grabbed for the wine list, Mary lingered a second longer asking about the specials but also squeezed my shoulder communicating that she understood. The rest of the evening she was on auto-waitress mode. Every bit of her energy went into this table and into delighting Lorene and Kevin too. Had Mary noticed Lorene had to wear cotton gloves because of the sensitivity in her fingers from the cancer drugs. Something happened as Mary shifted gears and gave even more of herself subtly. Our cute Long Island native, Mary suggested the best things on the menu - even telling us what was off and on from the specials board that would work or not. She was accurate with every detail so I asked her to just pick for me and with a couple questions about beef or fish, salad and veggies she picked my meal - Kevin ordered the same thing. All of our food was wonderful, incredible grouper - a favorite of mine - just right pasta too. I guessed that the kitchen staff was in on Mary's Make-A-Wish like plot too. The GM would bounce over to our table and check on us ever so politely. By now Mary had endeared herself to us and she was graciously caring for our friends. Then dessert (instead of wine) time came - we opted to split something - the girls picked with Mary's help. When it arrived it was huge and Mary was beaming. The check arrived - but the desserts were x'ed-out as a zero charge. Thanks Mary - you were an angel and so were your chefs as you gave unlimited comfort to Lorene. Lorene never looked like that she was being patronized just enjoyed the evening. We normally go to Lon's at Hermosa but this worked so well. We will be back again to eat with you everytime we are in from Houston. Now about that condo overlooking the for t-box... read more

This place was pretty awesome. The staff are responsive, friendly and don't waste your vacation time attempting to catch you with a sales pitch. The casitas are clean, the furnishings are well built and stylish. Two master bedrooms and baths make it extra accommodating. The property is wonderful, with gardens and a clean, uncrowded pool. We don't golf, but since it's a golf resort, Rancho Manana isn't swarming with young families- a welcome environment to those of us vacationing without our kids. There was a small problem with our dishwasher and the staff showed up within ten minutes and had it fixed in another five. My only complaint is that the stairs leading up to our second floor unit need to be completely replaced. The boards are warped and rotting in some places, making it a treacherous descent, particularly when carrying luggage. Honestly though, replaced or not, I will return to Rancho Manana. read more

Did a staycation here and so glad we did. All the casitas are like a condo with full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, patio etc. So comfortable and spacious. Reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and gives prompt service. Aim to please. Beautiful grounds on the golf course. Nice pool area also. Would definitely come back!! This is our go to place to stay in cave creek az. All the rooms are 1500/sq.ft 2 master bedroom suites. Beautiful Spanish territorial decor with a granite top kitchen featuring Viking stove and sub-zero fridge. One stay also featured an additional Murphy bed to accommodate more guests. The ground are a beautiful manicured central courtyard featuring an open fire place with gas grills for your steak/burger dinners. The staff is top notch and very helpful. The golf course next door is very challenging and offers wonderful views of the super lush desert cave creek has. Registrants are walking distance to town or closer. You WILL enjoy it here there is no doubt. read more

Staying here over Fourth of July weekend, it was so beautiful and peaceful; we stayed in the two bedroom suite, that had ample space, and a fully equipped kitchen, we were able to enjoy some delicious home-cooked meals, my 19 month old daughter, got a kick out of the open space, we really enjoyed exploring the resort with her, my husband and I are definitely planning a second trip to Rancho Mañana. read more
