This was probably the best experience we have had at a Hampton Inn. We were staying here for a week due to my husband attending a certification course in the area for the whole week. I work from home so I was able to stay at the hotel and work all day. I will say, if you are looking to stay at a hotel with a lot of exciting activities or places to go in the immediate area, this is definitely not the place. It is mainly industrial and you have to drive some time before you reach shopping centers. Our room was perfect enough for me to work in during the day and for everyone to sleep at night. Regarding the room, the only minor inconveniences were the room felt humid at times, I could hear the guy next door belching most of the time, the shower head was not working properly, and the foot shelf in the shower was coming off the wall. Breakfast time was my favorite on so many levels. The employee that was there every morning managing the breakfast was the best. I wish I asked for her name but I made sure to tip her because I was so grateful for her. She greeted me every morning and reloaded fresh items when I was there. It was so awesome because there was a lot of space to move around and some times I would be the only person there. All the items were fresh and I never left hungry. We discovered the first night they had a market but no wine or beer for sale. There were not many food options either-just snacks. I decided to order Uber Eats and we had a bottle wine so that worked for the first night. The staff here were friendly and the hotel was clean everywhere we went. Nice location and your typical Hampton Inn which is a good thing. The rooms were clean and decent sized. I was only there for a quick overnight so it was perfect for that. Everything I've expected from a Hampton Inn. Convenient location right off of the main room with an adequate parking lot. Neat lobby and common areas. Check in was easy with free bottled water provided. Rooms were very neat. Comfy bed, efficient temperature control, good water pressure, adequate TV channels, and lots of USB ports and electrical outlets. Microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided. Lots of lamps. Ice maker on each floor. Pool area was neat but I did not use it. Fitness center was efficient and well-kept with water, towels and sanitizing wipes available. Hot breakfast hours range from 6-10am and was better than expected with eggs, sausages and home fries. A waffle maker, variety of cereal and oatmeal with toppings. Bagels, breads and a variety of spreads. Juices and hot beverages also available. Overall great stay here. All staff encountered were great. read more

This Hampton Inn hotel was clean and located just off Route 130. My wife, son, and I enjoyed our 2-nights stay here with our miniature poodle in September 2023 over Labor Day weekend. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Princeton, and a few minutes from Exit 8A of the NJ Turnpike. Lot of pluses during our stay here. First, the hallways and rooms appeared to be relatively new (completed in 2018 or 2019). Second, the breakfast buffet from 6am-10am was better than expected. It had the usual Hampton Inn fare - but provided a wide array of items (hard boiled eggs + oatmeal). Third, parking is free and widely available around the perimeter of the hotel. However, there were some blemishes. First, you must request next-day housekeeping in advance. Perhaps due to staffing shortages, the hotel has limited this service. Second, I noticed minor flaws in the bathroom. For example, the shower door in #309 was not fully sealed - so a little water trickled onto the floor after a shower. Third, the ventilation unit had a musty smell - perhaps an air filter replacement would do the trick. But overall, we would stay here again. read more

For what it's worth we needed a place to sleep for the night and shower before a fun filled day at Raceway Park. Seemed to be not too far away and fairly reasonable. Since I signed up for the Hilton Honors Program we were basically checked in upon arrival. I was able to pick out our room before arriving and it worked like a charm. Fourth floor facing back parking lot was perfect. Bed was nice and big and rather cozy. Pillows were meh. Shower was pleasantly hot enough yet weird minty smell where we both said during our shower that it smelt like mouthwash. Towels... well they were ok. Not big enough like we are both used to. Bath sheets are the best but understand a hotel cannot accommodate such a large request such as providing larger towels. I would definitely consider coming back and staying here if we were to go to Raceway Park again. read more

They don't clean your rooms, food is mediocre, HBO doesn't work. Guess they didn't pay the bills

Upon checking in we were told that there was only one pet friendly floor. I spent 5 nights in the mobility accessible room with my Service Dog. Pet friendly should not have been a requirement. The building itself was very comfortable, very CLEAN, well decorated, had people's needs anticipated and I wanted to love it. But I couldn't. There are some things that you might not notice what is wrong if you spent just one or two nights. But after five nights you do notice that the sliding mirrored closet/bathroom door is not hung correctly. The end piece for the door was found inside the closet. Other things are more obvious and would be noticed no matter what ... For example, the elevator had a paper memo taped to the wall. The other Hampton Inns had the same information on a professional looking sticker, instead. Housekeeping is by request only. We did not request housekeeping. We did get to know Ana, the amazing housekeeper on our floor who would provide us with towels, tissues and toilet paper. When I went to remove the handheld shower head from its stored position, the bar that holds it proved to be unanchored. It popped out of the little pegs holding it and the pegs themselves were loose on the tile wall. The toilet was leaking water out of the bottom of what should have been the wax seal. We reported the issue. We were asked if we wished to change rooms. But we were also told that maintenance doesn't work on weekends. The bottom of the toilet was caulked while we were out. It is still leaking. One night when we came in, passing the front desk, a manager was yelling at an employee. It was a very uncomfortable situation for both: the employee and us. The Manager's office was about 10 ft away. It was empty. All of these really are picking on very specific problems because from the beautiful lobby, well appointed room, extreme cleanliness and mobility assistance bars, you really do expect something closer to perfection. read more

This Hilton property now has housekeeping-on-demand, but they don't tell guests that. I was surprised when I didn't have housekeeping the first day. I requested it my second day, but they didn't come, so the on-demand part doesn't work. Check your bill carefully. I was charged for $13 from the snack bar, even though I never bought anything. They probably entered the wrong room number. When I called to dispute the $13, I discovered that the phone number they gave in the email with my bill was wrong. That's just sloppy and unprofessional. Their entrance off of Route 130 is completely dark and hard to see at night. They need a light there. read more

This hotel was very nice. The lounge/eating area was large and comfortable. The rooms were much nicer than typical. The beds large and comfortable. What really made our stay special was the service and warmth of Marina at the front desk ( she was also stocking the food, vacuuming the floors), doing all things for all people. It was nice to have coffee available all day. I'll assume that breakfast will improve once all restrictions are lifted, we were not fans of the wrapped bagels, but were happy that the hard boiled eggs were tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

Stayed here over the Labor Day holiday. The staff was nothing but courteous for the entire stay; the hotel itself had some short comings, but I wouldn't blame this on the staff. I'll share Pros and Cons. Pros: -Close to Great Adventure. We got there in 20 minutes or so. - Location around the hotel is very quiet, except for traffic. Took my newborn on a walk in the mornings, and it was quite serene. -Gym is open (2 people per, following social distancing protocols). -Near to fast food places if you need outside food options. -Shower was nice..(but did have some difficulty getting it to shift from bath to shower, could have just been my room). Cons: -Walls/floors were built cheaply. I could hear into my neighbors room and heard some noise from kids above us. It's the first time I can recall hearing noise above me in any hotel I stayed in. Would recommend asking for the top floor if you have a small quiet party. If you have kids, asking for 2nd or 1st floor is better to minimize disturbing neighbors below you. -Due to COVID, the pool was closed, be sure to call ahead. -Due to COVID, breakfast is grab and go, and a little bland on the selections. Bagels/pancakes, you would have to warm up (It wasn't clear where). -Due to COVID, you have to call the front desk to swap towels. The cleaning staff isn't cleaning unless you request. The issue there is that they only have 1 staff member working at a time, so there were times when the phone just rang because the front desk person was running all over the building. Could also be a security concern. That wasn't their fault, but something to keep in mind. -A/C was manual and not central thermostat controlled, so finding a sweet spot to keep everyone in the room comfy was somewhat challenging throughout the night. The beds are comfortable and the whole hotel is decorated well There's coffee and tea 24/7 in lobby The breakfast goes till 10 am which I really like. There's a lot to eat at breakfast all self serve. Eggs sausage potatoes oatmeal waffle maker. Breads and assorted pastries. Fruit yogurt and toppings and cereal and juice Everything is stocked and spotless. I booked my wedding block here. The rooms were nice and clean. I booked rooms on the 4th floor. I especially liked the lobby, it's spacious. They provide a decent breakfast which is a plus. I think all my block guests enjoyed their stay as well. I would stay here again, if needed. There's also some good restaurants close down the road. The area is convenient. read more

We had a baby's first birthday in Freehold, NJ but we booked this Hampton Inn Hotel in Cranbury, New Jersey. It was about a 1/2 hour from where we had the party and we were coming from Saratoga Springs, NY. Well, let me say that this was a brand new hotel just recently built and our stay was fabulous. The staff was great, the rooms were great and the hot breakfast we had the next morning was great too. Did I mention that everything was great??? The coffee was delicious and we will be coming back because I know we will have more events coming in the future. But if you need to stay over in the Freehold area of New Jersey, stay at the Hampton Inn. Very easy to get on the turnpike from there too. Great weekend and the Hampton Inn made it much more pleasant then I would have guessed. read more

Our stay was great. Hotel located in quite area. Restaurants near the hotel have delicious good food. Lobby is very comfy and nicely decorated. Very clean. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and practically designed. I loved my working desk, every little thing is perfectly thought through. Electric outlets are very easy to access. Bathroom id super clean, I usually look at the corners and moldings to see how clean place is. It was perfectly clean. Cudos to cleaning personnel. Also hotel uses good brand of shampoo and soaps. Beds are very comfortable, bedding is good quality. I loved shades of the window, blocking sun perfectly, I was finally able to sleep in. Our room didn't have microwave but we asked front desk and it was delivered to us right away. Due to Covid rooms are not cleaned up every day, however, clean towels are available whenever you need them. There is no hot breakfast at this moment, however, there are breakfast boxes with great variety of healthy food like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruits/fruit cups, orange juice, bagles, cream cheese etc. I was very surprised to see such a good and healthy breakfast. Cudos to person who had such a great idea. All hotel personnel is great, nice and helpful. Upper management treats every staff very well. There family environment. We had reservations in February to visit family near the Inn. We visit several times a year and spend quite a bit on hotel accommodations. My son had an emergency and I had to take him to the emergency room forcing us to cancel the reservation. I sent documentation and they simply stated they could not reinbursed or even credit us. We went to visit several days later to another hotel. I just wanted a simple comment or explanation. Be aware they are not accommodating nor flexible. We will not be utilizing Hampton Inn or any of their affiliates. Sad! read more

Nice new hotel. We stayed there while attending a family event in New Jersey. The duvets were extremely heavy, causing us to crank up the air conditioning in order to get to a comfortable temp. Decent breakfast selection. However, it would have been much more enjoyable if eaten with real plates/utensils, rather than all paper goods. We arrived shortly after 2 pm on oct. 15, 2019 and the desk clerk "Lawrence" was so inept that we had to sit in the lobby for over forty-five minutes as we had requested the lowest floor possible and he had stated to us that he did have a room for us on the second floor but since we wanted to be on the first floor that we would have to wait until regular check in time at 3:00 pm. Since we waited in the lobby the entire time I was regularly walking to the hallway on the first floor where I could view the rooms and during the entire time we waited and no housekeeping had entered the room that we were assigned. Then at 3 p.m. Someone from the back came out and started an inspection of all of the rooms on the first floor and as soon as he returned and spoke to the desk clerk "Lawrence" our room was magically ready since it was now 2 minutes after 3 p.m. Not anytime during our 45 minute wait did THAT desk clerk check with anyone to see if any first floor room had been made ready - when in fact every first floor room was ready for occupancy. read more
