This Starbucks is a good one to check out if you are searching for city-centric or coveted collab merch. Gas station attached had basic auto needs as well. What I particularly like about these rest stop/service areas is that they offer just about everything you need. This is none other than the "Molly Pitcher Service Area" located in the township of Cranbury, NJ. Located directly off of the New Jersey Turnpike (Highway 95), this massive rest stop has been operating strong dating back to 2007. It was also the perfect place to get out, stretch, and fuel up on our drive from Newark, NJ to Philadelphia, PA. As for some of the food establishments that this service area offers, you have quite a few options including a "Shake Shack", "Panda Express", "Chick-Fil-A", "Starbucks", and "Subway". And some of the amenities includes a baby changing station, gas/diesel stations, EV charging, public restrooms, free Wi-Fi, and cash withdrawals (for a small convenience fee). In addition to all of this, there is even a large convenience store (similar to a "Wawa") which is perfect for buying bottled beverages, lottery tickets, maps, sunglasses, or snacks to take with you. I also wanted to add that they offer plenty of seating much like what you'd find in a large cafeteria/banquet hall. The look and feel of this place is almost reminiscent of a small shopping mall from the 90's but is a much more efficient and user friendly way. The best part about this is that they are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. However, some of the food places do close (so don't expect to get your Chick-Fil-A at 3:00am on a Sunday). But for what this place offers, it is ideal and quite efficient if you're on a long road trip. Also remember that since you're in New Jersey, it is illegal to pump your own gas so keep that in mind. All in all, "Molly Pitcher Service Area" gets the job done to keep us Americans on the go. My rating, an above average four stars. read more

What a great rest stop option while traveling south on the NJT. I haven't been on the turnpike in a while and they really did a nice job updating and modernizing them. It also brought back childhood memories of stopping by a rest stop on our road trips while growing up in NY. They had ALL the favorites at this stop...Shake Shack and Starbucks! They also had a Chick Fil A but it was a Sunday so they were closed. Bummer! It's a popular rest stop. The bathrooms were clean and tidy too and plenty of parking. We also gassed up our car and the attendants were friendly and courteous except the person who just parked their car there at one of the pumps instead of moving it to the parking area. RUDE! Did you know in NJ, it's a law...you can't gas pump your own gas? I got a vanilla shake on the self ordering kiosks and some snacks at the gas station area. Perfect stop to our road trip! read more

Service areas serve a difficult clientele. The customer base is a unique combination of full-bladdered and stir crazy. I was certainly both. The bathroom, a key feature, was unexceptional but clean enough. There was soap in the dispensers and both air-dryers and paper towels available. I'm pretty sure it's Buddha who said "the worst poison is holding a grudge and not forgiving someone." Respectfully, the Buddha never tried the coffee from the A-Plus here. It was execrable. After spit-taking in the parking lot, I marched into the Starbucks and overpaid for a flat white. That was actually very tasty. And so I left relieved and adequately caffeinated to continue on. Newly renovated gorgeous service area. Everything is glossy and shinny inside with new chairs and tables, wooden wall decorations. Excellent food options including trifecta of Shake Shack, Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, plus Subway and Panda Express. There's also confectionery store to buy foods, drinks, snacks and souvenirs. There are massage chairs available in the right end of the hall. Couple of games available for kids. It's play till you win, one for $10 and another for $5. Service of the stores are good. This is probably my favorite of the newly renovated service areas (so far). It felt huge, and had lots of comfortable seating areas and large bathrooms without any wait. They also had some different food options from the other stops, including Starbucks, Subway, Panda Express, and where we opted to go - Shake Shack. The menu at this Shake Shack was more limited than what we were used to, but not surprising for a rest stop. We were hoping to get some chicken bites, but those weren't there, so we went with some flat-top hot dogs and crinkle fries. Definitely a step up from your usual rest stop fare. I would stop here again on our way down the Turnpike. read more

It's a bummer that the smoothie and froyo Freshens shop closed and replaced with Uno's Express. A tragedy! Miss the Oreo shake, perfect sweet treat driving up I-95 into NYC. There's a cool automated Reis and Irvy's yogurt machine that churned out my vanilla and chocolate twist froyo topped with sprinkles and chocolate crunches in 30 seconds. All of the rest stops and gas stations on the Jersey turnpike are being remodeled and updated. This one was completed a few months ago and is a definite upgrade from the last incarnation. The bathrooms are clean, it's well lit, the food selection is much better. Gone is the crappy pizza place and now there is a Shake Shack. I don't normally eat rest stop food (even fast food) but, if that's your thing the dining options are getting an upgrade at these places (as well as the price). Anyway, gone is the NJ gas tax waiver so saving at the pump is a thing of the past. Also, you can't pump your own fuel in NJ, another oddity and I think this is the last state in the country that has that law. But, the facelift at this facility is a definite improvement. read more

Seems ill-suited for a service plaza. - Subway: stale bread, out or most toppings. There was one slice of meat on my 6" turkey sandwich that cost $8. Took forever to get one sandwich with no line. I felt badly for the sandwich maker who desperately tried to hear my order but couldn't because the service center is so loud. - Chik-fil-A: Closed Sundays like all their locations--but then why put them at a service center when most people travel through it on weekends? - Shake Shack: Awesome food and delicious, but so.darn.slow. Could easily wait 45 mins if they are busy, which isn't really the goal of a rest stop. There were only a few people in line when I arrived. I noticed who was ordering when I walked in, used the restroom, got Starbucks and he was still there waiting for his order. I got a Subway sandwich and saw him still standing there waiting as I was leaving the rest stop. - Panda Express: Terrible road food. Sure, I get that you could stop and eat it there. But how many people trying to get where they are going just take food to go and eat as they drive? Since various Molly Pitcher tales grew in the telling, suggesting that Molly Pitcher may be a composite image inspired by the actions of a number of real women. The name itself may have originated as a nickname given to women who carried water to men on the battlefield although I'm certain she / they must have played a much larger role and in some ways makes this rest area somewhat relevant being this roadside oasis serves a similar purposes when one battles the New Jersey Turnpike, there's no doubt you'll need some aid and comfort. Unfortunately they do charge for water here unless you drink from the lavatory in the restroom. (As gross as this is I witnessed a a teenager doing this here). Nonetheless searching for the real Molly Pitcher, the fabled heroine seems about as pointless as searching for Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe but it does offer a break from the boredom of the road and of course in keeping with the patriotic theme here and valor of service they do pump your fuel for you after all this is New Jersey... read more

My ex gf Molly keeps sending me photos of herself. If I get one more Molly Pitcher I'm gonna smash my phone. This massive Oasis along the Jersey Turnpike is not worth the paper it's printed on. Seriously with the insane amount they are charging you to use the turnpike you would think that they would give you some service that is medium-priced. The gas here is 40 to $0.50 more than off the turnpike. Literally. The food choices are the crappy chain sh*t and even the toilets are not particularly clean. The Molly Pitcher Service Area is just old. Your needs are met and yes the floor, table, and chairs are worn and stained. But you see people cleaning. The rest stop is a NO GO! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by gnats and flies! The bathrooms reek of urine, and the floors were all sticky and dirty. They have several food options, if you can bring yourself to eat here. Roy Rogers, Uno Pizza, Auntie Anne's, a mini mart & a Nathan's. The Starbucks was the saving grace for me, as it is next door to the rest stop in its own little space. The workers were all extremely friendly, but super duper slow. I would estimate 50% or more people who stop here go in the wrong way and end up in the gas or bus parking area and are forced to either exit and get back on the turnpike or make an illegal turn into a one way only with limited parking. This service stop is on I-95 south and very convenient and close to exit. There is some road work going on so one side is closed right now. Service center is very clean and busy. It has lot of shops and restaurants and Starbucks. Restroom is big and clean. Seating are is outdoor and inside too. There is different space for bus parking and cars. read more

I reviewed the Roy Rogers separately (what a disappointment!) so this is just for the stop itself. It was pretty clean overall and the bathroom was decent. I can't comment on the stalls since this stop was strictly for numero uno but it didn't smell funky, so that's something. There didn't seem to be any sketchy people hanging out around the restrooms...no matter how long I waited. This is right after the merge so if you're in the car lanes coming south, it could be hard to get over in time but there's another stop about 8-10 miles away so if you miss it, just cross your legs and hang on for a few more miles. read more

It's Sunday noonish on October and this place is poppin! This being the last service area for 47 miles I could see why. There were tons of parking spaces but we still had to drive around to find one. We noticed a Starbucks store next to the service area AND a Starbucks truck out as well. We went inside and made a beeline for the restrooms. The women's bathroom was pretty large but not very clean. They had many stalls and touchless sinks but paper towels were everywhere. Hubby and I looked around to find something to eat. It's nice seeing so many choices: Cinnabon, Subway, Fish, Health food to go, and Roy Rogers!! I haven't had Roy Rogers since I was a kid in CT!! I grabbed a 1/4lb cheeseburger, Mac and cheese, hubby grabbed a fish sandwich, baked beans, & mashed potatoes. Best tasting fast food we've had since we've been on this 30 hour road trip!
