This place is a complete dump!! We ended up leaving it was so bad. We have stayed at plenty of Hamptons through the years but nothing like this has ever been offered by Hilton. The rooms are very dated, not clean, very loud road noise, and the door wouldn't close enough to lock it. This room should be offered for $39 or less a night! Absolutely amazing. I literally just got into my room and couldn't help but immediately write a review. I've already had an excellent experience at this hotel. After a terrible ordeal at the previous one that involved my brother and I being stranded, the staff here, especially the girl working at the front desk tonight (10/11/23 3am) , went above and beyond to help us. She managed to get us into a room in under 10 minutes, displaying exceptional efficiency and a genuinely friendly and sweet demeanor. We would give her alone 5 stars for her outstanding service Additionally, the room we're staying in is not only clean but cozy as well. It provided a comfortable and welcoming environment, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel for their exceptional service and comfortable accommodations. read more

I stayed at this hotel with my family as we were coming back from the north. We however did not know the "wonderful" night we were in for. We open the door. The door was "slightly stuck" meaning it was pretty much jammed. We walk in the room. Dead cockroach greets us on the floor immediately. Spider/dust webs everywhere. As someone who is usually extremely comfortable inside a Hampton Inn, I will say this is bay far the worst one I have ever stayed at. That was the first time I did not even bother to sleep under the covers due to fear of bed bugs. It was a room on the 1st floor. Just so you know, this hotel is very clearly not like other Hampton Inn establishments. The hotel is outdoors, so it looks just like a motel. For those of you do not know what a motel is, a motel is pretty much a hotel that looks like a place where you would get murdered. I strongly recommend going to the hotels in the area as the hotels nearby have much higher ratings. This is a pretty sketchy hotel. It's more of a 3 floor motel. It is conveniently located off exit 333 of us rt 75. And, it's next to a shopping center - so once you're parked you can get stuff from Dollar Tree and some other stores and some fast food. It's just kinda dirty and worn - after staying at some nice places, it's a let down. If you're looking for a place to sleep and shower, with the shopping center next door, there is plenty of parking for a truck or other large vehicles. Just don't expect luxury. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE was given a SMOKERS room when we checked in. Went to the front desk to ask why and we were told it was because we requested one. When we just requested a bottom floor room then when given our second room the next night when we got back our room keys did not work because they were never set for two days. If I could give them half a star I would only because we had a roof over our head for our stay. The people also responsible for cleaning do a very poor job and do the bare minimum. To say I WILL NOT recommend this HELL HOLE to anyone would be a understatement. The location is great with restaurants close by, including a Kroger and rooms really clean. Has small refrigerator, coffee and microwave in room. Only drawback is door to room opens to outside. Stayed there many times over 20 years and never any any issues or concerns with security. Employees are nice. read more

Absolutely filthy room! Checked in two weeks ago and were given a handicapped room as requested. Ottoman was stained with a large brown spot that came off with minimal scrubbing with a towel. Our socks were stained from walking in the room. Sent a fax both to the hotel and Hilton last week. No response as of yet. We have stayed here when traveling snd have never had a problem. Rooms are clean and they are taking extra precautions with covid. Great that it is next door to Cracker barrel. They people that did not give good reviews should have called Hilton Corporation. We had one incident at a Hampton and the corporation refunded our money. What saved this from being a 1 star review was the Guest service when I checked out. They actually listened to what I had to say, looked at the photos I had for them and did not charge me for the stay, as is part of their 100% guarantee. If you want to understand why, please read below. We were traveling home from Ohio, we'd already had an accident in Kentucky and were driving a rental car. We'd been to Dollywood and were making our way southward. We were approaching Georgia and it was getting late, we needed to get a room. We tried calling places closer to Atlanta, but with Dragon*con going on as well as some large sporting events, it seemed that all the hotel rooms up and down the I75 corridor within 100 miles of the city were booked. We pulled up our favorite chain, Hampton Inn, found one in Dalton, called their number and found out they had a room available, so we booked it. $109 a night for a king bed. It was acceptable. When we arrived, we had to double check, it didn't look like any Hampton Inn we'd ever been too. We're used to them being all enclosed. This one, however looked like a revamped old style Ramada Inn. An all out door Motel, it did not live up to the Hampton Name. It may talk the talk, but it does not walk the walk. I went into the lobby to check in, and I was punched in the face with the smell of overwhelming mold. But the checking in was quick and efficient, I didn't get the usual run down of No smoking or anything, which surprised me, but I think the gentleman wanted to get back to whatever it was that I interrupted. We parked near the singular outdoor elevator and lugged our stuff up to our room. The room looked clean upon first look but then things just jumped out: The light on the side of the bed closest to the door didn't work, nor did the outlets and the usb ports they have set up on the night stand, very disappointing. When I went to check the bathroom out, It was very tiny, and the sink was DIRTY. I'm talking about brown spots that were of suspicious origin. I swiped a few with my finger, and they came right up, so I took the provided makeup wipe and cleaned the sink, it was foundation from someone previously staying there. I rinsed the sink, and noticed that the water would not drain. It took more than 5 minutes for the water to fully drain from the basin. The TV was exceedingly over complicated. Some how the remote got un-synched and we could barely manage to get it to work. Mind you, the Husbeastie is a computer engineer and I'm a member of Mensa, we shouldn't have found an issue with it, but alas we did. We eventually gave up on it. The bed.. oh my god.. the bed. I have not slept on something so uncomfortable in a very LONG time. It was as if they bought the absolutely cheapest bedding and used it. It is very firm with NO give. It HURT to sleep on it, and sleep was very lacking due to the light in the room. LIGHT? yes the bathroom has a nightlight (which lit the whole room, so we unplugged it) and the Cablebox's Blue LED lighting is super bright too.. I had to put a soap box in front of it to dim it. All in all, it was not a restful or wonderful experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We stopped for one night. I always choose Hampton Inns because I feel they are quality hotels however I was so disappointed in this one it was dirtier than I am used to for a Hampton and the furniture was old and soiled, it was very noisy and kids were running up and down the stairs all night, banging and slamming doors and a lot of car noise. I didn't have any issue with the room or the amenities (the lobby was very nice and breakfast what you would expect), but may room was near the outdoor basketball court and I could hear the dribbling a bit longer than I wanted. Our family has stayed here for years on the way to/ from Florida. We have always had a pleasant experience with no complaints. Basic accommodations with polite employees, nice place to spend the night and my nephews always enjoy the free breakfast (as do the adults). It is within walking distance of a Cracker Barrel and Outback Steakhouse plus there are other restaurants nearby to drive to. read more

I had to stay in Dalton, Ga for the first time and Hampton Inn is where my company put me up for the weekend. First I "must, need" send a shout out to Ms Debbie. This wonderful, pleasant southern bell welcomed me to the Hampton Inn, with the hospitality that only a true southern can give. She didn't know this, but I had the roughest night prior and I just wanted a shower and a bed. I came to her beautiful southern smile behind the front desk at 8:15 am and asked if she had a room available for me? As you know most hotels do not let you check in until around 3pm but Ms Debbie must have read exhausted across my forehead, because she found an available room immediately for me. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, totally clean even the carpet was clean and spotless. Laundry facilities on my level and total convenience of hot water, strong stream, and cable tv. In the area in October. We called countless places without any availability. We were on the phone with a Hilton agent for over an hour to find anything within an hour radius of Chattanooga This was the only reasonably priced option at $160/night, plus tax. Thanks First approaching the property, not impressed, but fine with it since it was already 10:00pm. Couldn't find parking, but I drove around the property and found parking on the other side of the building. Once in the room, not really impressed, but the bed looked inviting, especially with our own personal blanket. The worst part is that we asked for a non smoking room. Plus the bathroom shower was a handicap shower stall, which is fine, but completely disgusting. The tile and floor need a power wash!!! Lots of mold!!! I'll shower when I get home tomorrow. We were traveling to Florida to visit my mother in law prepare for the hurricane that was going to hit her area. We needed to make a stop for the night and always look for a Hampton Inn when we travel. We have traveled this route for several years and have never stayed in Dalton before. We contacted the hotel while we were driving and were placed on hold for about 10 minutes before they came back on line to take our reservation for the night. When we pulled in at 11:30 pm we were totally surprised by the fact that the hotel had exterior doors for the rooms. If we had not already paid for the night I would not have stayed in a hotel like this due to a bad experience in one of these old style hotels. My wife check us in and we used the exterior elevator (this did not make me feel safe late at night. We were on the third floor and there were no directional signs that listed our room number. When we found the room it was hot the AC was set at 79. Turned down the temp to 72 and the AC did not come on. Only when I turned it down to 68 did the AC come on. The room was clean. The bathroom was so small that you had to almost step into the bathtub to shut the door. The other odd thing about the Room was there was a dehumidifier in the room next to the AC unit. In over 30 years of traveling I have never seen that. The breakfast the next morning was ok nothing to write home about. My wife and I have made a note to Pass on this Hampton Inn in the future. The rating was based on the type of the hotel , the small bathrooms and the dehumidifier running all night in the room. read more

Upon arrival after a five hour drive I came inside to check in with reservations supposedly in order. Nothing was right! I requested an ADA room with roll in shower but they didn't know anything about it nor did they have a bench to provide once we found a room. I also had made reservations with Hilton Honors points and they knew nothing about it so I had to pay for the first night and after spending over two hours on the phone with Hilton Honors and the Hampton Inn I got the last two nights with points. The two very young and inexperienced people working the front desk informed me there wasn't any hot water. This was already a nightmare and I was tired and had my service dog wiith me so I just didn't care. I checked in and ended up with a tub. I asked if I could use a chair from the pool area to put in the tub and they said they didn't have chairs at the pool. They lied because the next morning there were over a dozen around the pool. The room smelled musty and just bad. The lights over the sink and vanity weren't working at all and the room key only worked two times and I had to get a new one over and over. They said this is normal! There were yellowed stains on the bed covers and tears in the chair and ottoman upholstery. I never got any room service for three nights and I requested extra towels and to empty the trash but nobodycame until 9:30 amon checkout day wheni wasn't checking out until 12 noon. They bothered me three times and walked in on me while I was in the bathroom. I'm adding pictures I took! The breakfast was the only thing good and it really was. There were also dead bugs presumably bed bugs in a plastic cover over the box springs and mattress. read more

Business travelers beware! This is a MOTEL, not what you think off with a Hampton Inn name. It has exterior room entrances, so get to brave the elements to get to the lobby. The business center was closed to top it off. Rooms had old stained upholstery and my toilet seat looked like someone was gnawing it. Driving up from Atlanta and dealing with the traffic is a better option. I'll be going back to Marriott properties after this stay. read more

No. No. No. Never again. I'm ashamed that I stayed here and feel like a cheap prostit..... We drove all day and were drop dead tired, but I still did the 'check'. A flashlight lighting up all of the corners, under the sheets, mattress, inside warped wallpaper, outlets, AC filters, bug traps, etc., looking for anything that would cost hundred$ if they were brought back home. OMG...30 seconds in! I wanted to SPRINT THE HELL OUT, but the other person was too exhausted and told me to find a better hotel that had a room available...with points. I literally broke down in tears because none were available and I was maxed out too. This was a very nice Hampton Inn. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. I asked for extra towels and they were more than happy to give me some. The bed was super comfortable. Wish my bed was that comfortable. I asked for a late check out and they were very accommodating for that as well. They offer a pretty decent AAA discount. Chose it earlier today on my Hilton Honors app, man I should have checked the Yelp ratings... it is easy to see why it is rated 2 1/2 stars and yet the Holiday Inn next door is rated 4 1/2 stars. I stayed at the Hamption Inn on Thursday June 18. This was my 5th time staying here. I also stayed here on May 30. I've always had a pleasant stay. The staff, accommodations location are great. When I stayed the last 2 times they were following Covid-19 protocol at the front desk. When I checked in on the 18th I set my bag down and immediately went across the street for dinner. When I returned I went to put some leftovers in the refrigerator. I was shocked when there was someone's yogurt in there. It was a bit unsettling. Made me wonder if housekeeping didn't check or clean the refrigerator, what else did the skip? Not sure if I'll stay here again. Sorry guys. read more

I'm staying here for work for 3 nights. Upon arrival, the stAff was really nice. The hotel gave my coworker and I handicap rooms even though my coworker requested no handicap rooms. It's kind of weird that the toilet in a handicap room is so high. Anyway the room is clean. Kinda far and cold walk from lobby though. Breakfast is ok tasting an has a wide selection of food. Last night I came back from work and they were offering cookies chex and apple cider. The cider was far too sweet and cookie too crunchy but when u dip the cookie in the cider, it turns chewy and amazing. Overall satisfactory stay. I came here again for another week for work. As always, they provided a cookie and apple cider in the evening which I very much enjoyed. However, one thing I did not like was that my wake up calls were most of the times 10 minutes late. I obviously learned to request a time 10 minutes earlier than I normally would to accommodate for the delay but then sometimes it would be on time. It was very inconsistent and the staff said they would look into it but they evidently did not. Also, it was quite cold during my stay this time so I started caring about the fact that it was an outdoor hotel. It was inconvenient to walk in the freezing cold to get to the main lobby. My heater/air conditioner actually didn't work for the first 2 days until I realized how cold I was. I called maintenance and they fixed it the following day. Even though I hadn't been here since November (it is now the end of January), apparently I got sick of their average breakfast in November and did not even have an urge to try it this time. I just stuck with the oatmeal and nothing else. I did not notice this last time either but the place is in a super convenient location. It is located in a strip mall. It doesn't have the best stores there but it's still a very convenient walk and there are restaurants around there as well. read more

We have stayed in many Hampton Inns. Never have we ever checked in and not asked for some sort of I D. The room was nasty. The two cloth chairs in the room were damp. The "free" breakfast was disgusting! We left and went somewhere else. I would stay away from the nasty hotel! Never again! read more
