I'd say this is a pretty good option (considering there is limited options) I came into lobby and asked for pricing details. I got the rate and went back out to the car, thought it was high and went to the microtel down the street to see what their rates were.. they were lower but definitely less clean... came back and Hannah at the front desk asked me if I had left and gone somewhere else to check.) I felt like she was insinuating this rudely. PRO's Hotel has a pool open til 11. Free breakfast in the morning (to be determined if that's any good) Room is spacious. Seems clean. Bed is comfy. TV channels had a wide variety. Our queen room had a coach and a chair too. Easy access to parking lot from back door. Bathroom is huge. CON's Not the best area- sirens, garbage around. Kind of difficult to get to things. Limited options for much. Ate at Wendys and it was awful. Lobby is super nice, remainder of hotel is... ok. Just ok. Loud, lots of doors shutting and tons of noise when other rooms use their water. ****Floor is SUPER UNLEVEL. Worry the building is unstable. Floor freaks and cracks. Literally heaved. It's so unlevel that the drawer on the nightstand kept opening on its own. *** sketchy. Room has a hint of smoke smell. Overall, don't hate it. Have stayed in way worse. But for the price it's nuts. When I go to a hotel, I expect three and only three things. 1. It's clean 2. It's stable 3. It has a good environment Let me put it this way- this hotel marked off 0 of these things on the list. We went to this hotel about a week ago as we were on vacation. Our last day, with a long drive ahead of us. We needed good rest! This hotel was unclean to say the least. Literally the paint was chipping and you could feel the floor moving under you. It was dark and very dated. Weird layout. The floor in the bathroom felt like Jenga pieces.. It included samples at least! This is one of the nastier hotels I've ever been to... I don't recommend this place at all! read more

We wanted to tour the Ark Experience and decided to stay at the Hampton Inn in Dry Ridge which in the next town up the road. Our stay here was pleasant. Our check-in went quickly and without problems as did checkout. The room was clean, the towels were soft, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows were ample. The hotel is showing its age and could use a redecorate if not a remodel. A complimentary breakfast is provided. Hot items included scrambled eggs or omelets, sausage or bacon; cold items included cereal, yogurt, sliced fruit. Several restaurants and are just a short drive away. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. All in all, it was good stay at the Hampton Inn-Dry Ridge. read more

Checked in they didn't seem very happy at front desk... I missed the days of being treated like we are super glad your here with us (or pretend) It's a Holiday weekend but a slight show of kindness would go along way. very disappointed in this stay. big construction was going on and our 2 rooms that were booked, were right next to it. walking to our room through all the mess and noise, and construction workers. we traveled with a small infant, and this was extremely uncomfortable. we were NOT even told of this when checking in. no warning!!! the room was definitely not up to standards at all. my shower was filling up at the bottom and not draining water. turns out the drain was totally clogged up and my husband had to figure out the drain problem so I could finish my shower. the breakfast was fine. read more

Not much attention to detail at this creepy, damp and musty feeling hotel. Our room was recently renovated, which was poor workmanship. The door to our room had gouges in it - I'm assuming from the contractor allowing it to slam on the lock. Neither of us wanted to take a shower after seeing it. The floor drain was loose and the doors were frosted to add to your claustrophobia kicking in. When we booked the hotel I paid extra for a king with whirlpool. When we got to the room, no whirlpool. My husband went down to the desk and got a refund for difference. Every time the air conditioner kicked in i was woken to a rattling vent. Keep driving and find somewhere else to stay. read more

Hilton property that was filled up when we stayed our one night. Room was the usual quality you find at a Hilton property, clean - newer furnishings - microwave coffee maker refrigerator. We did not hear any neighbor noise except for above us - sounded like a kid on a pogo stick for about an hour. I don't blame the hotel on that one. The ice maker on floor 2 did not work, but not that big of a deal given ice on each floor. The breakfast was a good buffet - the gal working did a good job keeping up with the crowd eating. One opportunity they have with the breakfast is the layout - it seems like the high traffic foods are in one corner (toaster, waffle maker, silverware) - this created a log jam of people - a bit of repositioning would definitely help. Get there early to beat the crowd. The front desk was friendly throughout. All in all it was a fair cost for what we got. read more

"Well you can roll up towels and sleep on them" the response from the front desk about the availability of foam pillows. And this was a pretty good representation of how the entire stay was. And apparently they really have no clue of what "clean" in a hotel room means. Pretty much the dirtiest floor and carpet I've ever seen in a Hampton Inn. This one is one of those really old and in much need of an update hotels that you come across in this chain. We had two rooms. There were commode problems in both rooms. One room had a sewer smell the entire time. I called the desk to report the bathroom issue and the phone rang 12 times before anyone answered. Disappointed in this hotel. The shower is super slick. We about fell every time we got in! Our extended family of 31 had a great stay at this Hampton Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The desk attendants helped us get to our rooms efficiently when the 31 of us trickled in at different times. From providing Kleenex for a child's runny nose, to giving suggestions where we could play a game of whiffle ball, to holding a baby while a mother took care of her toddler, the employees were superb! I don't want to forget the breakfast which was available until 10:00 and delicious (especially the smoothies). Great place to stay when visiting the Ark Encounter. read more

I can overlook the somewhat dated decor, and the small nicks and blemishes that come with a dated property. The place was clean, and that goes a long way. I can overlook the slow-as-molasses employees, who made sure that things took twice as long as they should have as a rule. They were all very nice, and they made the stay a pleasant one. Harder to overlook was the amount of noise that came into my room from the hall and from other guests' rooms. The vacuum noise was epic in the hallway, and seemed to go on for an hour. Maybe the carpet was especially filthy. The neighbors' hijinks was a bit more than I could bear. The people to my left sounded like they were having a door slamming contest. The people to my right, on the other hand, were having a headboard slamming contest. It's hard to say which was more satisfying for the participants, as the people with the door were slamming away with a certain amount of gusto, while the headboard bangers, as they have come to be known, only had the energy to go about their business for a minute or two. Their minds were apparently less filthy than the hallway carpet. No judgment. No judgment. Harder still to overlook was the smell in the place. The entire hotel smells like old carpet freshener. Yes, carpets are becoming thematic here. The hotel staff lays it down the way my Aunt Louise used to use floral rose bathroom spray: too much and too often. But the only thing that I just couldn't overlook was the coffee at breakfast. It was cold. And who the hell can put up with cold coffee in Dry Ridge, KY in December? Seriously, how hard is it to make sure the coffee is hot? I ended up taking two cups back to my room to warm in the microwave. Choices are limited in this town, so you might end up here no matter what. If you do, manage your expectations walking in. It's not a bad hotel at all. It's not a particularly good one either. This was an amazing place for us to stay at for our trip to the Ark. Stacey, the manager was awesome. She made sure our seniors were well taken care of. She went above and beyond! I can not say enough about her and her team. We had some challenges we went went. But she offered and assisted where she could and it helped to make it little easier. The first thing you smell when you enter is the chlorine in the pool. The smell seems to permeate throughout the first to third floors. The interiors of the lobby and the adjoining areas aren't bad at all. The hallways are hot and stuffy. I guess they didn't open the AC maybe because of budget constraints. The room was clean save for a slight unknown substance on the side of the bedcover we decided to ignore. There was a cute personal message from the housekeeping staff and the toiletries were Neutrogena. One drawback though, the tissue paper is pathetically 1 ply and melt in your hand ewww. They really should do something about it. The front desk staff notably Coleman was super attentive. The stay offers free breakfast and 24/7 complimentary coffee. The coffee was cold and not maintained though. read more

On my way back from Pittsburgh, I was looking for a hotel to stay in in the Cincinnati area. After doing my best Internet scouring, I came upon this cheap little gem in Dry Ridge, Kentucky...which is apparently almost as close to Lexington as it is to Cincy...but I digress. I had left Pittsburgh at around 5, headed back to Nashville, but I wanted to go to the Reds game on Sunday, so I booked this hotel. I've stayed in Hampton Inns before and they're all pretty nice, but this one was towards the top of the heap in terms of the customer service I experienced there. For starters, they must not have been expecting many guests because when I walked in at around 10 and said that I needed to check-in...they knew who I was. When I got to my room, there was a towel on my bed folded up like an elephant and a note telling me that my sheets and been changed. That was entirely unexpected. The hotel itself is a wee dated, but all of the actual furniture is new - it's a Hampton Inn bed, so it's comfortable as hell. The location is pretty decent...the area seems pretty safe and it's across the road from a strip mall with both LaRosa's and Skyline Chili...so there's that. read more

I stayed in this hotel 1/27/2021. This was one of the best last minute stays that I ever had. There was a snowstorm blowing through, and my daughters and I decided that we would get a room here. The desk attendant was absolutely awesome. She made sure that we were well taken care of. We had been driving for 24 hours straight, so she made sure that our room was on the end of the floor so that it would be quiet for us. We had a wonderful, restful night. I was surprised to see her again (the other attendant had called out the night before, so she was covering the shift). She was still very cheerful and happy, making sure we had breakfast before we left. read more

Place is clean, good breakfast area, pool stays open pretty late, no strange smells. My room could have used a dehumidifier, but it's been rainy and humid out so that's probably difficult to manage. The Internet is decent, but slow. Overall, the place is nice, and I would stay here again. Points wise: for Hilton honors members, it's on the lower end at only 20k, so I would definitely recommend staying here if you're heading up to cinci. It's a short 40 min south of there and half the points of many hotels I looked at there and in Florence. The town seems small. There's not a Walgreens or cvs, but they do have a few restaurants, Walmart, and a hospital nearby. After taking a shower, I'm switching this to a 4 star. I had to run the water for appx 10 min to get anything decently warm and when I did, it lasted maybe 2 minutes. I notified the front desk however and while maintenance wasn't there to fix my shower, hopefully they'll get it taken care of for the future. read more

We had to remove our luggage after arriving to the room so staff could come try to get rid of ants that were all over the bathroom and in the closet. This was one of the poorest experiences from a hotel chain. Rarely have any issues with a Hampton until stumbling upon this atrocity because it was during a weekend of a holiday and grad time; very little available in the area. The staff combines a level of laidback complacency with denial that they have maintenance issues. Room smelled of bug spray or some cleaning/deodorizing agent. Strong smell to mask something. The parade started with a leaky toilet that we reported. It was checked and we were told they couldn't do anything about it now. The toilet continued throughout the night and the noise escalated to every few seconds. The next morning we entered the lobby and breakfast area with 80 degree temperature. Breakfast attendant said it was like that for a few days. This was the time we were complaining about the toilet. There is a 100% satisfaction policy that we argued about being that hubby didn't get much sleep because of the toilet noise even when the door was closed. Apparently she didn't think it warranted our dissatisfaction and procrastinated about it. No apologies offered here just questioning the customer instead who usually selects a Hampton or related hotel for their quality. We chose to call corporate and they were disappointed to hear about the issues. So much for hospitality at this place. Door to room would get stuck too. read more

What a disappointment the cleanliness of this hotel was. When I chose the Hampton Inn to stay in for a couple of nights, I chose it because I have stayed at other Hampton Inns and they were as close to a luxury hotel without the expense as you could find. There was ongoing up dating in the hotel, which is no problem until we walked out of the room late in the evening and the floor was filthy and littered with debris from the day's work. No one there cared enough to clean the dust off the door handles and key pad; nor did they care enough to vacuum the hallway. And to add to my complaint the towels reminded me of cheap Walmart towels. I should have opted for the "lesser hotels" in the area. I would have spent half the money and gotten as good as what the Hampton offered. I will consider my hotel choices with more discrimination in the future. This is my second stay here in the last 2 weeks and we were met with smiling and friendly service both times. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was above average for a hotel buffet.
